This is the 3rd time we drive by and they are closed! We’ve been here at random times morning like 8 am, middle of the day like 1:30, evening like 4 pm, and they are never ever open! WTH! I hope more people review this place with 1 star so that no one attempts to go!

Are they still open? I went by there around 7 am and it was closed. So can anyone tell me if they are still open? Thanks.

I have tried to get tacos from this place 2 times and they were closed both times. Last time it was like 9 am and they were closed, I don’t understand! I wish I could know when they are opened so I can and try their tacos and actually review the food. Ah! And I also have to say that I tried knocking on the door and the window but nobody responded.

Was not impressed with the breakfast tacos, very average. Somewhat pricey and the service was slow. Difficult to order as well. May just be the language barrier so I didn’t factor that into the star rating.

Super friendly, and was open after 12pm when I showed up today. This is a great change of pace from regular breakfast that cuts off at 11am at the latest. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese with jalapenos. It was incredible. Hot, soft, fresh tortilla. Perfectly cooked bacon. Tons of peppers in the eggs. Super fresh tomatillo salsa on the side. Absolutely amazing. I’m so glad to have B’s in Leander. Finally, a place I don’t have to drive 30min+ to get amazing food.

I have never eaten here, because when I tried to call to make a to go order it took 4 times to even get someone to answer the phone. Then, when someone finally managed to get to it, the lady asked me if I had ever ordered there before. She then disclosed that they don’t take new customers on call in orders because people don’t show up to get their food. Also, they only take cash. This is 2014 and we are in America. Call in to go orders and credit card machines should be standard.

So, we were on our way through Leander and needed breakfast to the face on the immediate… We opened up Unilocal to guide us to our breakfast destiny. This place is fantastic! I’m not a breakfast taco kind of gal, but The Boyfriend is. I’m a believer now. We ordered five different tacos and, be ye warned: they’re very filling. They’re all served in fresh, homemade flour tortillas. Yum! 1. Bacon & Egg — thick cut, wonderful bacon and fluffy scrambled eggs make for a tasty combo! 2. Piccadillo — The Boyfriend devoured this with hardly a word. Think he may have mumbled«ahhhmazing» once or twice. 3. Carne Guisada — dude, wow. Just. Wow. The meat was so tender and savory! 4. Chorizo & Egg — basically, it was joy all UP in the mouth. Fresh. Homemade. Yuuuuum! 5. Bean & Cheese — oddly enough, this was my favorite. The beans were, again, homemade. These beans, man… What else is there to say other than: mmmmmm. Actual beans. Not from a can. The salsa had a bit of a kick in the happy junk. Would totally drink it. #noshame Treat yourself, y’all! You’ll never look at another breakfast taco the same way again!

Still the best around. The bacon in the tacos is even good, which is not always true in other places. Prices are very reasonable. Tacos are larger than most.

Sooooo good! Made fresh to order, so you may have to wait a bit. The migas taco is my favorite!

After a year of attempting to try these tacos, we finally found this place open. Unfortunately they no longer have the steak fajita tacos that received good reviews here so we tried several others including the bacon/potato/egg, the egg/chorizo, the carne guisada, and the picadillo. None of us were overly impressed with any of the tacos we tried but they are not bad tacos– just not great. I would rate the picadillo better than the others and I am typically a big carne guisada fan. The tacos were ok but definitely not worth the wait and I would much rather go down the street to the Camco as the tacos there are much better.

I’m compelled to write a review this very minute as I sit in my car and scarf down this ridiculous concoction of a breakfast taco(bacon, potato, cheese and green hot sauce). This is like waking up to an orgasm. The bacon is a thick center cut with very little fat. You can feel and hear the crispness of its texture. Combine this with seasoned potatoes and tons of cheese you have a big O. I’m blown away by what this little-in-the-middle of nowhere shop can do! Homemade tortillas seared to perfection and the best thing is that it’s not even greasy which is a shocker for Mexican food. For about $ 3 you get a huge happy in your mouth. Ok now I need a cigarette.

My newest addiction. These are some damn tasty tacos! Those homemade tortillas are to die for. The taco’s are so filling that I can buy one for breakfast and munch on it past lunch. I usually get the chorizo, egg, and cheese but everything on the menu is delicious. I’ve always had pretty quick service, never waiting more than a few minutes. On cold mornings I just wait in my truck and she waves at me when it’s ready. And yes, those puppies are hot, hot, hot so make sure you get them in a bag and don’t just grab the taco!

I’m from a small border town and being raised by a stay-at-home Mexican mother, I know the difference between good and mediocre Mexican food, especially breakfast. The first time I had a taco from B’s, I was instantly transported back home. No other place in the Austin area(or north of San Antonio) even comes close. The tortillas as good as it gets and the quality of the ingredients are second to none. I’ve had tacos from other places in the Austin area that others claim to be «the best» and there’s no comparison. I also can appreciate the fact that I can feed my family of 4 for about $ 12 bucks as none of us can eat more than one taco from B’s. I’m also glad to say that Blanca(B) is from my hometown. If you are anywhere in the LCP area during the breakfast hours, this is the place to go.

My husband and I relocated to Leander 2 weeks ago and have been on a hunt for authentic Mexican food. We truly found a winner with B’s Tacos. Little hole in the wall place right on 183 beside a Citgo station and if you aren’t looking hard you will drive right by. As the others said, a parking lot, a walk up window to order, and a picnic table off to the side pretty much make up the entire place. Forewarning. you will wait roughly 20 minutes for your order, but it’s worth it. We call ahead which makes it much easier(and cooler). Menu — simple and straightforward. There aren’t a lot of choices of different things, they stick to tacos(with several choices for breakfast and meats), an mexican omelet and(choice of meat) plates served with beans, rice and tortillas. I actually prefer the menu that way. Tacos — out of this world. So hot when you get them, that you have to let them cool to pick them up. Yes they are roughly 2.70−3.25 each, but you get what you pay for. They are bigger than you expect. The tortilla couldn’t be better. It’s not one of those flat, crumbly things you typically get, but rather a nice soft, thicker than average, fluffy flour tortilla. It almost has a little stretch to it, which is good since the filling is usually overflowing. Carne Guisada — Fabulous. Messy in a good way. Aromatic, you’ll smell it before you open the bag. Tender and quite tasty. Steak Fajita — Flavor is outstanding. Add the grilled onions! The meat was just a bit tough for my liking, but not enough to dissuade me from ordering it again. Eggs and Chorizo — Full, and I do mean full of chorizo. Breakfast tacos at other places I won’t mention are 95% egg, but here, that isn’t the case. Probably 60−70% chorizo. Very, very good. Picadillo — typically not my favorite because I’m not a fan of potatoes in my tacos, but this one was seasoned wonderfully. I really enjoyed this taco and would definitely buy it again. And a heads up, if you ask, they will omit the potato if you don’t want it. Salsa. very good, green salsa. Mild to medium heat-wise, full of flavor. If you have a tender palate, you may want to take it easy. That’s my take on what I’ve tried there so far. I didn’t have any trouble ordering and I speak very little spanish. The workers were super friendly and make small talk during our interaction since it wasn’t busy. I can’t wait to go back again. Those tortillas are worth the wait all by themselves.

So a big wig in the area canceled a lunch date on me. A colleague mentioned that she was headed to B’s Tacos. Having heard of the joint, I passed her a $ 20 and said call me when you get there. She called and told me the tacos were roughly $ 3 a piece. I’d read on Unilocal, they were big, but big in my world just doesn’t equate often with others. After she rattled off the short list of tacos and the option for a $ 7+ combo plate option(two tacos, rice and beans), I said, get me three tacos: steak fajita, carne guisada and picadillo. Rarely do I eat tacos one at a time, as I prefer to go back and forth for different bites, savoring spicy, sweet and tangy flavors. Since I ate each taco one at a time, I’m going to review them that way. Here’s the rundown on the tacos in general: a toasted flour tortilla rolled up conceals a heaping pile of fresh ingredients inside. These tacos kept warm(almost hot) and fresh wrapped in aluminum foil in a brown-paper bag for 20 minutes before reaching my eager hands. I started with the carne guisada. I was forewarned by my friend that it’s messy. Two seconds later my hands were dripping with juice. The taco was excited, as was I. This was before I unwrapped it. I took a few bites and then topped it with plastic cupfuls of tomatillo salsa and a cheese. The meat is tender, tasty and plentiful. I prefer more spicy meat so the tomatillo helped. The cheese instantly melted, making for a sticky and gooey situation as I went through 5 napkins in rapid succession. Moving onto the picadillo, I found exactly what I expected: fresh and fine ground beef seasoned and served with small cubed potatoes. I’m not a picadillo fan and while I enjoyed this taco, it didn’t do much to bring me over to the picadillo side of the fence. It was tasty, but like all of B’s tacos, it needed more spice. My favorite has to be the steak fajita. The pile of skirt steak meat overflowed the taco and I made sure to pick up all the droppings as they fell. Just a pure delight. The quality of the ingredients, the freshness of the food and the relative durability of the tortilla surprised me about B’s. I’d go back, but I might bring my own favorite salsa to spice things up a bit. WARNING: If you eat three tacos like me, don’t plan on moving for a few hours. These are hefty $ 3 tacos and a food coma can follow.
