The Book Barn

We are new to the area and my daughter just got her summer assignments for her AP English with only 3 weeks to get the assignments done. We went to a chain store to look for the 2 books that she needed. We could not find them. I decided to call Book Barn and ask if they had them. When I talked to Barb she told me that she did not have them but if they came in she would call me. Later that afternoon she called me and said she did have one that had just been inventoried. She held it for us so we could go pick it up. She also then told us that she would put in an order for the other ones tomorrow and should have them by next week and that she would call if there were any issues with the order. I think she went above and beyond and we will defiantly be going back here when looking for our books. Thanks Barb for the exceptional service!!!

This is a rare independent book store gem. Pop into The Book Barn for a super selection of children’s books, cookbooks, the latest bestsellers, and an update on local events and history. It’s locally owned and run by Barb and Bob Spear, who really know their Leavenworth history and are very active in the community. They are always planning fun things for the community from Harry Potter Days to 50s treasure hunts. Good family stuff!
