This office is nice at first — when you say you are a new patient. I chose them because they were covered by insurance and largely based on google reviews. However, after calling with questions and trying to get my xrays transferred the front desk girl, on every occasion, sighed heavily on the phone. Rude.
I had to request a lead apron during the panelipse xray and was told that they didn’t have one and that the xrays only hit the area they’re aimed at – I’m a Radiologic Technologist and was appalled she was saying this (and believing it). I refused to have the xray and only then did they come up with a lead apron.
I had to come back for some fillings. They discussed 3 (I haven’t had any for 4 years so I thought my old dentist, who retired, must have missed these). No pain shot and a lot of drilling. If it’s small enough to go without a pain shot then it should be done by air abrasion. We had discussed sealants prior to the exam and the possibility of coming back for those. He took it upon himself to put one on while I was in no position to object. It didn’t even take and was placed on an old filling (no point).
My mouth hurt so badly (from fillings that were not formed for my mouth) that I had to see another dentist to fix that problem and again because the filling had a pit in it big enough to collect debris and had to have that fixed as well. It’s been a month and my mouth still doesn’t sit right (bite is off).
When I got my bill — I was charged for 5 fillings when we discussed 3 and I remember each area he drilled because I could feel it (no pain shot, remember) and it was only 3 areas. I called them about it – she sighed heavily and told me it was charted so it had to have been true.
So, I have to pay this bill for 2 fillings I didn’t have done and a sealant that I didn’t authorize and wasn’t even necessary.
Not to mention he made another appointment to have more work done and when I asked my current dentist about it – he said it wasn’t necessary. Now, I don’t know if the work I had done was necessary. I feel very taken advantage of and DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DENTIST.
He will pad your bill and charge you for unnecessary work that he may or may not even do.
