I don’t recommend this company. I had a refrigerator that was not cooling properly. The freezer temperature varied between 10 and 35 degrees Fahrenheit. Not sufficiently cold to preserve food. The technician, who is under contract with Action but is an independent contractor, came out and said our coils needed cleaning. He brushed them off, took our $ 65.00 for the service call, and headed out. When we observed no change in the fridge performance we called him back. This time he said it had to be the defrost timer. I ordered one up and had to install it myself since it arrived late on Thursday, December 31st and I didn’t want to wait for Monday to have them install it. The fridge performed the same. Now I was tired of this, so I did a little research and guess what? Every site discussing this problem said the steps for a novice are 1 — clean the coils, 2 — replace the defrost timer. Two cheap and easy fixes to try when you really don’t have the expertise to do real diagnosis. I called Sears. Their guy diagnosed a coolant leak — this one was in the evaporator — and got it fixed after a short wait for parts. When I call a pro I expect pro service. Didn’t get it from Action Appliance in Lebanon
