This is my go to place when I want a good summer float. The boat prices are affordable, they take you to the river in a bus(if you stay in the upper campground, which is further from the river), and they have flush toilets and showers. Not only these amenities, but also boast a 24 hour store(for wood, ice, beer, etc.) and… THEBESTPART… if you rent a boat, 2 nights of FREE camping. Yes, that’s right, pay for boat rental and you get to camp for free, including the flush toilets and showers. They also have cabins for those who want to float, but also want a bed. When you go, if you are looking for a party atmosphere, stay down by the river in the lower campground. The upper campground has a section for families and a section for people who want to have fun, but also get a few hours of sleep before floating(vs. partying all night). No matter what you choose, you can make a wonderful weekend out of this resort. The river is great… beautiful and a great place for floaters of all skill levels(I recommend the rafts if you are not keen on tipping in to the river). Don’t forget the sunscreen, canned beer, and non-styrofoam cooler(glass and styrofoam are not allowed on the river)…best floating advice: keep your shoulders cool, but your drinks cooler.
