Very unique ! Good is very fresh. Feels organic not sure if it is but feels very organic. All about the feels. Service was superb. Started with the espresso and then had their special panini. Apparently the menu changes daily which means things are fresh right ? Finished with a brownie sundae which was pretty good. They recently moved so make sure your gps says its on route 22.

This was our first visit in the new location on Route 22. Happy to report that nothing has changed except the décor, the food is outstanding. The menu is very creative, our sesame crusted tuns was perfectly cooked, and our Muscovy duck appetizer had an amazing fruit relish. Though not inexpensive there is a lot of value for the money. We will be watching the weekly specials, can’t wait to return.

Wow-I was really impressed by my dinner here! I made a reservation for 4 at 8 pm on a Saturday night and am glad I did. The restaurant is very cozy and intimate, so reservations are a must. Though I came with my family, it would be a wonderful date night spot. It’s also a BYO, so make sure to bring a bottle or two of wine! The menu changes every week, so though I can rave about the coconut shrimp and the Chilean sea bass, they will likely not be on the menu when you go. That being said, we all loved our meals and were confident that anything we ordered would have been good. Make sure to leave room for dessert! The chipwich consists of vanilla ice cream sandwiched between an amazing homemade chocolate chunk cookie that’s been cut in half. It was amazing!

What a delightful place for a gourmet meal. The décor is retro but cosy. Food was delicious and the staff were super friendly and helpful choosing from the menu. Not a place to rush, we were able to sit and enjoy our evening. Have to go back and try out their brunch next time!

Never had a bad meal here. It is a small, cozy, intimate restaurant and the people that work there are extremely friendly and accommodating. The menu changes weekly, and I look forward to checking it online every Wednesday(they are not open Monday and Tuesday). I always get the special salad, although they have a lot of unique apps for the more adventurous foodie, such as my boyfriend. I always order the steak they feature and it is always cooked to perfection! This place is a 10⁄10! AND its BYOB, another lovely perk!

This place has great lunch specials and dinner is a wonderful experience. Fish, pasta, steaks or chicken are prepared to perfection. The kitchen is run by a chef who knows his sauces, The menu changes every day and the desserts are homemade. I loved the Sunday brunch. It’s worth the ride to enjoy good fresh food prepared for appreciative palates. Don’t forget th byo for your special dining experience. Make a reservation to ensure your heavenly meal. This place is great, I have been here several times already and it is always charming with amazing food. If you like the lamb and don’t mind wearing wool, go for the lamb sliders; they come with brie and mango chutney… YUM There are two small tables outside, for two people each(you and your loved one). It is so nice to seat there and watch couple of cars go by, not noise and gorgeous. There menu is quite creative… try new things, you will like it.

Great food and a very creative menu that changes weekly. The prices are reasonable for such wonderful food. The drive through beautiful towns and great back roads adds to the experience. My wife and I will definitely be back.

I love this place! The food is fantastic; the menu is dynamic and the offerings are creative and delicious. My husband who only orders savory food for breakfast devoured a plate of strawberry rhubarb French toast. It’s that good. The owner, Jennifer, and her team work hard to provide excellent service. Stepping through the doors is like visiting Jennifer’s home — she’s friendly and attentive to every customer’s needs. Gourmet Expressions is a gem!

This review is long overdue. I’ve been visiting Gourmet Expressions for years and have never been less than thrilled with the food and experience. Dinner conversation at my table is usually dominated by talk of how good everyone’s dishes are. The great owners and staff are a huge bonus and I personally think the prices are a great considering the quality of the food. The weekly changing menu keeps me coming back to either try something new or revisit a favorite dish.

My palate was in heaven last night. I took the server’s recommendation for Mahi Mahi pan-seared with a sweet potato-crab-hash and a bbq beaurre blanc. Simply fabulous!

It’s worth hunting for this tiny country restaurant hidden in Tewksbury. Been there for lunch and dinner in recent past. Husband and wife team run the place. Menu is relatively small but apparently changes weekly. Had lamb osso bucco on Valentine’s Day but was served a lamb shank. Not what was advertised but still very good. Don’t pass up the cheesecake. Not much on décor… sort of eclectic and no real theme. Service was very good. BYOB… No liquor or wine served.

Great quirky place in the country. The décor is unique but comfy. The staff is courteous. The food is always different and they do exciting combinations. I’ve been twice for lunch on random Saturdays. It’s my favorite little secret lunch spot in the woods. I’m happy to have stumbled upon this place when we first moved to Lebanon.

We met friends last night for dinner. The waitress was a little snobby — never asked if we had dined there before. We did not know the menu changes weekly. When asked for our orders, we said we just wanted to hear if there were any specials. She said«You did not decide what you want — yet??» It was a little uncomfortable. When leaving, a lady wanted us to know that when we make a reservation and are told«it’s one of her last two tables» — she showed us which tables they were. One was ours. All four of us were not quite sure why she went out of her way to make this point. It was a little embarrassing since we made a reservation and thought we did the right thing. Then she went on to say«after those last two tables, then there is outside». We walked away thinking did they not want all their tables reserved and they want to keep those open? It was strange. The place is very charming. They really need to use cloth linens to match the atmosphere. We love Mountainville — very pretty area. Years ago we frequently dined in a nearby place that closed and thought this could be our new favorite spot. The food was good, not memorable. Although we thought there were interesting choices on the menu and it’s nice the menu changes weekly. However, the overall experience was not great. Won’t go running back.

Went here with a large group last night. It’s really out in the woods/country, parking was tight and the interior was a bit drafty(single digits outside), but the food was really good. Our group started with soup(good idea on a cold night) or the«wedge» salad, which was huge, crisp and delicious. For entrees we all opted for either the pork chop, which got rave reviews for its tenderness, or the seafood rissoto, which was excellent. The upside down hot fudge sundae and the homemade chocolate chip cookies were popular desserts(but the pistachio and cranberry biscotti looked good, too — maybe next time). Prices were reasonable(entrees might be a little high, but offset by good deals on salad, dessert and coffee AND it’s BYO) and service was good — even though they thanked us for our patience.

Funky interior as if in a converted general store… entered and was asked in a somewhat brusk manner«do you have a reservation»…of course replied«yes». So was seated and after ordering, awaited the meal… which was sumptuous. BUT for the prices asked for the entrée… at a minimum cloth napkins should be provided. McDonald’s has better napkins. Also felt«rushed» as we had a 6:45 p.m. seating… and after an hour or so, seemed as if we had stayed our allotted time. So if you plan to visit… eat quickly!

Lucky enough to visit this cute, country spot for brunch. Seemed everyone in this cozy restaurant knows the owner, how can that be bad! Wonderful choices including a cheddar grits cake(that sold out) as part of a country egg scramble, and pear French toast that was a hit. For a tiny place there were more choices then people at our table. Looking forward to going back this weekend! Refreshing change of pace for an area with limited choices. Hope it thrives.

Excellent, fresh well prepared food. Great fish and vegetarian choices. Quaint, rustic atmosphere. Friendly service. Deserts are incredible. Have visited on 6 occasions and always a positive experience. Highly recommended in an area devoid of good choices.

My wife and I visited Gourmet Expressions in the Mountainville section of Tewksbury Twsp. for the first time. We enjoyed our meal and the overall experience and rate it 3⁄5 stars. But with a few minor tweaks, I think this restaurant could easily move to 4⁄5 stars. Gourmet Expressions sits at the intersection of «Nothing» and«Nowhere» in Tewksbury Twsp., NJ. Once you walk in you quickly realize that the restaurant is ideally situated. The building was built in the 1880’s and is decorated for that period. We were immediately greeted upon our arrival and sat at a table next to the front window. On the drive in I joked with my wife that we would likely be the only guests on a Wednesday night. However, much to our surprise, two other tables were occupied — a table of five and a table of two. Pretty good for a Wednesday night. And during our meal two other tables were seated. Service was prompt and efficient. My wife ordered the steak with no appetizer and I ordered the crab cake appetizer and the lamb entrée. Although a small size, the crab cakes were fresh and tasty. The remoulade sauce that accompanied the dish was quite strong — not overpowering, but strong. And that is a trend that continued throughout the meal. The lamb entrée was a generous portion and very flavorful. Here again, the sauce was heavy for the dish. It was a thick sauce that I thought can be improved if made lighter. Frankly, the lamb did not need more than a light lamb au jus sauce. My wife’s steak was cooked medium-well as requested and again, very flavorful. However, the mashed potatoes were served cold. That was quickly remedied by the wait staff. Both my wife and I thought the potatoes were overly mashed. In this case, a few lumps are welcome. Again, the gravy that came with the steak was too heavy for the dish. It almost gave me the impression that the chef was trying to hide a poor piece of meat for the steak and lamb, but both stood out well by themselves. The asparagus served with both of our meals was fresh and perfectly cooked. Just the right amount of «snap» when cut. Lucky for me that my wife does not eat asparagus. Yummy. We did not try the desserts, which I assume are made in-house and fresh. But I did try the cappuccino. Bad, bad, and by the way, bad. Time to invest in a real cappuccino maker. And practice making it before you serve it. For one appetizer, two entrees and a bad cappuccino, the bill totaled about $ 77. Yeah, maybe a bit expensive, but the dining options in Tewksbury are extremely limited. There is the Tewksbury Inn that the horsey set frequents and now Gourmet Expressions. Between the two I choose Gourmet Expressions. It’s a BYOB place that tries real hard. And with a few minor tweaks, they will easily out run the Tewksbury Inn. Well worth a visit if you are in the mood for something new.
