I have made all of my Featherwerks purchases at the Indy Winter Farmers Market. My favorite part of every purchase experience has been listening to Laura explain what types of feathers are being used, how she gathered them and the general story behind the products. She has a crafty eye that could make even the dullest plumage into a work of art. Not only are they art, but extremely affordable — $ 8 for handcrafted and local earrings? I think I can pull that off ;)
The feathers are gathered in a variety of ways, but most often they are compiled following the slaughter of the Farm’s chickens for meat. **thought: this is definitely the first time I’ve used the word «slaughter» in a review…**
