Had been given this name for a second opinion. Made an early appt. so as not to have to wait. Staff were miserable. Stayed on the phone at the front desk without opening the glass slider and acknowledging my presence. Waited over 45 min. for a nurse to escort me into a cubicle exam room where she proceeded to quiz me on a 12 page(!) questionnaire. Explained that I was there for a second opinion… not to become a patient. She insisted that I needed to be «in their system». MD came in, telling me that I was NOT wanted as a patient as I was unco-operative. Ha. This experience as opposed to getting a second opinion from a Morristown Mem. gyn/cancer MD. A welcoming OPEN receiving desk.(Not that USVSTHEM sliding glass divider.) A smiling nurse escorting me to an open office with a conference table for a second opinion meeting… NOT an examination cubicle. An intelligent and perceptive MD discussion about my case. Very, very different from the Seth Rubin where the ’ MD makes all the rules’ approach is from the last century. No sense of ‘we are a team’ at Rubin’s. Very unpleasant experience there. As a kicker — he told me he was NOT going to CHARGEME for his time. What an ego. Expect that if you are a placid, submissive person he and his poorly trained staff will be acceptable to you. I want my monies to go to a team player who is trained in the SERVICE of medicine, since after all, practicing medicine on patients who desire your services is how they make their livings.
