Not going back. Horrible customer service and sky high prices. There are two types of antique stores: those that sell items at a good price and are willing to make deals, and those that price items by their«worth» to collectors and won’t budge. This is the latter. You can tell because she never sells anything. Sure she has some neat stuff, but it’s priced so high, that even a specialist collector would balk. I went with my family, with my eye on a gift for my sister. It was a full set of Pyrex bowls. The lady was overjoyed when I brought it to her. When she read me the price she saw me react and sourly snapped, «you didn’t read the sticker?» I stammered, «we’ll, yeah, but it’s a bit high, I was hoping we could come to a lower compromise»(yes, I talk like that to old folks) and again I got a quick and nasty response, even before I finished my sentence, «well, we all wish for things, don’t we?» And glared at me like I was trying to rob her and she caught me in the act. Irked but intent on my purchase, I paid. After this, my little brother fell in love with a Sesame Street cup. There was no price on it so he took it up to her and asked, as cute as can be. She indirectly accused him of removing the sticker to try to get a deal and refused to sell it to him(Presumably to look up the price and gouge some other poor person). I’m proud of him for taking it well, but she was over the line. I would never go back to this store based on price, but with how awful the lady treated my brother, I’m making it public that the customer service in this joint is absolutely despicable.
