The bathrooms were very clean and well maintained so making a stop here is great. The mart looked more like a grocery store so I was disappointed when I saw that it was just a convenience store. They have 3 of the same store in a 1 block. You’d think one would be different. The gas prices were also quite high. They were about 50 cents giggle than they are in about 20 miles so you certainly pay for the convenience of the stations there.

Recently I drove from SoCal to NorCal and made my usual gas fill up at the Petro Shopping Centers in Lebec. I filled up, bought gum, and used the bathroom… pretty standard… except I left my wallet in the stall in the bathroom. A really stupid move on my part as I had an unusual amount of money in my wallet, a parting gift from my dad who had recently passed. Luckily in a cashiers check, but still… also I had my most recent paycheck in my wallet. I am amid a big move back to the Bay Area and the cash came like a gift from the heavens. I didn’t even realize I was without my wallet until I got to the Bay Bridge toll. I freaked! So to make a long story short… David Jones, who I am assuming is a manager at one of the Mobile stations there contacted me by phone call and text. He actually called the store where I work(paycheck stub was the clue) to inquire about my number and he is sending it to me here ASAP, including the cashiers check. How about that for customer service? DAVIDJONES! THANKYOU!

Let me tell you guys a story. it starts with me being stranded on the side of the road for 3 hours with my 5 year old son waiting on a tow from paranorma towing who had a contract through my road side assistance. Finally the tow guy gets there but says he was not told that my car was a rear wheel drive so while I was on hold with my insurance to approve the new cost. The tow guy says“I got other jobs, I can’t wait around with you, if they get it figured out then I will com back.” and he leaves us not even a minute after telling my insurance company he would wait while they get the new costs approved!!! on top of that the guy reeked of alcohol! Of course my insurance approves it but I have been left and I am not waiting another however long it may take with my hungry child in the car for this guy to come back from his other tows, so I start calling any place I could Google(at this point I am Willing to pay whatever to get us off this flipping road!), granted it is 8:30 at night on a saturday, I had been waiting Since 5:26pm on the side of the I-5 so there is no place open on a Saturday night to replace a tire. I happen to get this Petro station on the phone and they say they will send someone out to help me, they are 18 wheeler mechanics not car mechanics, so they don’t even handle regular cars nor do they have to! But they send a guy out to patch my spare and get me to their shop at what is now 10:30 pm to make sure I have a good tire on my car get me and my child home becaause I was in the middle of a 2 hour drive stuck half way between my home in Oxnard and my family’s homes in Bakersfield. It is because of these men that after 5 ½ hours stuck on the I-5 that we were able to make it home. We got home at 12:30am. They did not charge me a dime!!! Even when my insurance called to see if they needed to pay any cost for me they said«no they just wanted to help me and my child get off of that road». Those people are amazing. There are still good and kind hearted people in this world and I hope anything good that can happen to them in life does happen and in swift timing. Please if you have an 18 wheeler use them and if you do tell them and the manager Bethany the lady with the kid they helped off the side of the road sent you!!! And if you need a Tow. Do not I repeat do not us panorama towing company!!!

The nice cashier gave me a funnel for my oil and I didn’t even have to ask! Clean bathrooms with intense soap dispensers and paper dispensers that actually work. Excellent!

I stopped at this Mobil gas station both to and from my trip to LA. The first time it was a fluke and I was pleasantly surprised that it was super clean – even the huge bathrooms. The second time I waited until I passed over the grapevine to stop here for a bathroom break because it was the cleanest gas station bathroom I have ever been in! This place also has a great selection in their convenience store.

My husband and I stopped by the Petro on the last leg of our trip back to L.A. from Yosemite. I got a sandwich from Subway, and Christopher could not have been more friendly and efficient. The sandwich was delicious and the whole experience made the end of my trip much more pleasant.

*Tania* behind the Subway sandwich counter was wonderful in accommodating us & our Puppies for exactly what we were craving. The entire property, including restrooms were well maintained as usual. These restrooms even smell clean! (6÷14)

Great place to stop and stretch the legs on I-5. Bathrooms are spotless, which isn’t the case in so many places. Nice store. Gas more expensive than up the Grapevine, but great little complex for weary travelers. Last time we stopped, we could see smoke from a fire bordering southbound I-5. Glad we weren’t driving south. Easy access and spotless inside.

Unatnfortunately during my last visit to this Petro I had what we truckers call a «33» an accident. The shop was cool they took pics for my company and made sure my truck was road ready. The techs were very helpful and kinda cherd me up they could tell I was still pissd at the guy who hit me. Mabe they get training on how to handle mad truckers. I do have to say that this is my favorite truck stop on I 5. Ive been all the way up 5 to Wa. This place has the Iron skillet, a Wendys, a movie theatre, a shoe shinner, a store, an arcade, laundry, a doctors office, Baskin Robbins, and a unattractive lady with a masage table lol. I love this joint eventho the coffee sucks. I stop here every chance I get. I got a big bloody rib-eye, mashed potatoes and country gravy, soup and salad, and a soda 16 bucks u cant beat that.

If you’re going up the 5, just past grapevine is the Petro Stopping Center. This is a great stop off place which has everything including several gas stations and fast food joints. Starbucks and In-N-Out are here too. They keep the place well maintained(grass and shrubbery). We stopped off to stretch the kids legs on the grass for a while. 1 — Who knew Famous Footware needed such a huge distribution center(next door to Petro). 2 — For some reason I wasn’t able to check-in here with my Droid phone.

I make sure to always stop here on the way south on Interstate 5 to get that last gas point before heading up through the Angeles forest area and the urban forest that comes later known as the San Fernando Valley. and LA beyond. Just a whole lot easier to jump off here and be able to get right back on the interstate than trying it later in the city. It can be really hot here during the summer or really cold during the winter, but its convenience I’m after here, with its location near Wendy’s, McDonalds, In N Out, Starbucks, etc. Of course it’s got a Subway inside too which is nice, and there’s a few picnic benches on the right side in case you feel like frying in the sun. There’s also a grassy area on the left thats nice to stretch out and relax in.

Lebec is the halfway point to home up in the Central Valley. It’s convenient to stop here and refuel — gas and food. The stopping center is always clean and organized. This particular Thanksgiving the Starbucks had a line a mile long inside and out. I didn’t feel like standing in line and at the time I was on the phone with my Mom and she happened to mention that the Petro Stopping Center had decent coffee that would give me enough of a caffeine boost for 2 hours. So I took her advice. After all, she did raise me so she knows a thing or two about a thing or two and what do you know? The coffee’s not bad. I don’t particularly like the lid but I was able to manage. The stopping center wasn’t crowded and as I was leaving I noticed the people I left in line back at Starbucks were still in line. Go figure. If you’re stopping to refuel, the coffee here isn’t bad. There’s also a McDonalds, In-n-Out, Subway, Baskin Robbins, Pizza Hut, and Wendy’s in the same complex. Down the road, you’ll find the TA Travel Centers and a Taco Bell.

With every trip I make to Northern California, this is always my bathroom break, refueling point. It’s always about the halfway point to me and I find this place to be convenient and safe. This place has several food options which include: Iron Skillet Wendy’s Subway Baskin Robbins Pizza Hut Of course there’s a gas stations with about 16 spaces so you never have to wait in line to get gas. Among the gas stations located in this exit, this place always seems to be a bit lower. The convenience store located within the gas station has the subway inside of it as well as bathrooms which have 8 stalls in the woman’s restroom. Their assortment of drinks, snacks, and magazines as well as other necessities is just perfect. If you don’t find what you need there you can always go into the other building which has the other food places, as well as a larger convenience store/gift shop. Another reason I like to stop here is that there’s a wide grassy area next to the gas station that’s a perfect potty break for the pooches. For the most part it’s clean and appears other owners pick up after their dogs. It’s a nice place for dogs to take a break from sitting in the car for hours. Day or night this place has always felt safe and is very well lit. Other services include: mail services copy/fax showers Laundry room barber shop ATM machine They really have it all, and you can’t go wrong making this your stop!
