I just love White Castle. It has a special spot in my heart because I grew up with it in Sunnyside, NY. That is all.

This place was disgusting! Garbage on the floor, there were no clean tables. I had to ask for napkins and cleaned our table myself. The Only reason we ate here is because my son had never been to White Castle before. And we probably never will again. The sliders were slightly warm– not piping hot like other White Castle s I’ve been to. The soda station had a door coming off the hinges and the service counter had grease all over it and I could see the prep area floor was littered with assorted pieces of trash. The floor may as well have been the color of onions — the employees were essentially standing in a field of onions. I took pictures but my son was embarrassed and made me stop. Yuk. Actually the fries were okay but not hot. That’s the best I can say about the place.

My husband loves this place. We don’t go often, but he is always looking to go if we can in new towns. The restaurant was nasty. Dated, chairs and tables were dirty and greasy. The ice tube for soft drinks was moldy. If I were a health inspector, I would close this place. We added cheese, but the burgers were so cold the cheese didn’t melt. There were more than enough people working to tidy the place up. We were very disappointed. We won’t be going back.

NOTE — The address given here is incorrect. I punched it in and my GPS took me to a McDonalds. I had to drive in circles to find White Castle. It is in a plaza with Applebees, so maybe that would work better. Yes, it really is open 24 hours. Have you ever been in Ledgewood, NJ at 1 a.m. and needed to find food? Yeah … not a lot of options. White Castle is open 24 hours per day … the only other options are the 7 – 11 type convenience stores where you’ll get a pre-made, cold $ 6.25 chicken sandwich which tastes like rubber and silly putty. Where I am from, we don’t have White Castle unless it comes frozen in a box from the grocery store. Even if we did, I am not sure I’d ever eat it because each tiny burger probably takes a day off your life and gives it to Keith Richards. Health food, this is not. However, at 1 a.m. in the boonie-burbs of NJ … it did the trick nicely. The staff here was great. It was a two woman team. The cashier was very effective, friendly and fast. The person making the burgers was fast, effective and thorough. The prep area looked clean … spotless actually and the food was ready in a matter of minutes and tasted fresh. I don’t think I could have had a better experience other than the fact that the drive through is confusing as is the exit onto the road. For those who haven’t had White Castle … the burgers are small. Even a light eater would probably need 2 – 3 in order to fill them up. However, they are about 99 cents each for a slider with cheese. The meat doesn’t really have any flavor at all. It’s just kind of there. The pickle and onions are what give it flavor and the meat just kind of adds a greasy element(in a good way). Small steamed buns make the sandwich all the better. The fries are crinkle fries and mine were crisp and perfectly salted. For what I needed, this more than hit the spot. 5 sliders and small fries was just under $ 7. I probably could have got by with 4. White Castles are a rare animal in my neck of the woods, so I am glad I got to try them. Not sure if it was worth the few days off my life the greasy meat took … but it was a satisfying meal. You are welcome for the days, Keith.

I grew up eating White Castle burgers. There was(and still is) a shop on Bergenline Avenue across from Hudson County Park and because of price(we were poor) we ate here after a day by the lake. I loved them. These days, the closest White Castle is in Ledgewood and I sneak up there about once a month(my wife definitely does not approve). This franchise(I guess that’s what they are) is well run and the drive thru quick and staffed by friendly servers. The quality has been consistent and that’s all you can expect from a fast food outlet like this. This isn’t gourmet food, but even Julia Child ate at fast food shops(she liked the McDonalds quarter pounder) so it’s acceptable for a foodie to enjoy a dalliance with White Castle. This is a good place to get a quick, filling meal. See you There?

Is this place slow? Yes but lets get to the goods, This place is open 24⁄7 but unlike other places having just a drive thru open they leave the Lobby open! I know its stupid but being able to use the restroom and go here late at night(preferably after a night of drinking) makes it a guilty pleasure to both me and my group of friends, nothing better than getting the guys together to get a couple bacon cheeseburgers to end and reflect on our night out.

If you ever wanted to experience the slowest white castle known to man here it is. I have literally parked my car in the drive-through. How can fast food be this slow?

Messed up our order completely a couple weeks ago at night. I had to yell for them to hear me and they still couldnt. The food was very average.

Considering the other White Castle around me this one always seems to have better service and cleaner facility and isn’t On the slow side it’s further from me then the other ones but I don’t mind the drive when I crave the little burgers.

Very fast service. I really don’t like White Castle food but I stopped here today because someone else wanted it. Food was done in like 3 minutes. I haven’t been to a White Castle in about 5 years. The biggest issue I had was the prices. They have skyrocketed since I last was at one. Other than I hate the food and its very pricey, the employees were very nice and food was quickly made.

One of the better White Castle locations I’ve been to. The burgers are perfect every time, even off hours as they are great for breakfast.

Honestly, what can I say? It’s White Castle. I took a good friend of mine there after a long road trip from DC. She’d never been, and I figured going to White Castle is definitely one of the boxes one much check when in New Jersey. We arrived at this location at maybe 11pm on a Friday and – despite the relatively few patrons – there wasn’t a freshly bused table in the house. The sprite was over–(or under-) carbonated and I felt like the service was pretty lackluster. The food was, well, what I expected, to be fair, and it did hit the spot destroying my insides. It may have been an off night, so I’ll throw three stars their way.
