I was down there maybe 2 minutes ago to grab a quick coffee and go back to my room to get ready for the night. I ordered my coffee like I do at home and the cashier cuts me off mid sentence and says to me sorry but this isn’t Dunkin Donuts? Really? No kidding. I said what do you mean? All i asked for is an iced coffee with cream and sugar? He said that I have to put my own sugar and cream in my coffee at the station near the door. So you tell me I pay $ 3 and change for a coffee for the workers to just fill the cup with ice and coffee and I do the rest? This isn’t my job. Very displeased with how the young kid handled the situation. Really? I know I’m not at dunks.

One word: Barista! I wouldn’t use this word in this establishment but this one particular location we went to, it was like a breathe of fresh air. The staff that took our orders made our drinks and it was done timely and perfectly. It felt like I was in an actual coffee house and not just some franchised filled with uninitiated chaos. From extracting the coffee, to frothing the milk, to pouring. The staff even knew what a London Fog was instead of me having to order each ingredient as I would typically order it at any other location because I haven’t had the luxury of encountering someone who knows how to put earl grey tea, vanilla syrup and steamed milk together. in. one. cup. Thank you Starbucks at this Foxwoods location(by the food court)!

Yes this a chain and all Starbucks are pretty much the same… but what makes this one standout is the awesome service. The baristas are so friendly here. I asked for extra caramel and while making it she was joking around like«OK you can tell me when to stop». It was great to see friendly faces and great customer service. It is also much brighter in here than other locations which is a good wakeup call first thing in the morning — if you are looking for a relaxing spot to enjoy your coffee sorry not the place.

There’s a new Starbucks at Foxwoods, and I am glad to have an alternative to Dunkin Donuts for my morning latte. Even better, Starbucks has my favorite Gingerbread Latte during December so I’ll be here a lot. This Starbucks lacks great seating and power options, but it’s inside a casino food court so I’m not terribly surprised. Friendly staff, too.

I had high hopes for a Starbucks location in a Casino. I thought there would be lux seating or at least an atmosphere that left the customer feeling«tended to,» but alas, not the case. The location is next to a food court but doesn’t seem too noisy. Unlucky for me, there is currently construction going on directly across from it so I had the wonderful pleasure of sipping my macchiatto to the sounds of metal being cut. The location is clean, seating is limited to a long table with a few bar chairs. It’s located in front of the register so it feels awkward and if anyone’s waiting in line, even more so. I imagine they’re expecting you to sit in the food court area, and only use the bar as a «waiting area» for your drinks. Overall, it’s perfectly meh. I certainly love that they’re in the casino so I can get my caffeine fix, but it doesn’t feel like anything special.

New Starbucks location in the new Foxwoods Great Cedar food court area(on the way to the Great Cedar Garage BTW). I’ve been here three times in and out. It’s a little lacking in that relaxingly mellow atmosphere found at a Starbucks due to it’s location next to a food court but the baristas are super friendly and well trained(minus one who I think was being trained at the time and had a small language barrier). I take green tea Frappuccino and they have been perfect every time. Tonight(a busy saturday night) they were open till 2am! Amazing. And Foxwoods employees get a 10% discount which is extra relevant to my interests. If you don’t like Starbucks there is a cheaper Dunkin Donuts up the hallway. If you go here and they are friendly-throw some change in the tip jar. They deserve it.
