While staying at a nearby cabin resort we decided to skip the cooking after a long drive and Gone Coastal was recommended by a few locals. They have specials nightly so we opted for the turkey dinner (Sunday special is turkey or pork) and it was fantastic! It came with generous portions of turkey, mashed potatoes, mixed veggies and crispy stuffing all covered in homemade gravy. Although it was a little on the salty side it was still delicious and well made. A great spot to go with family– an average of $ 10-​$ 15 for entrees and they also have a kids menu. You can add the salad bar to your meal for only $ 1.99 (at the time of our visit) but there weren’t many options. They do offer a wide variety compared to the other restaurants in the area which seems to be dominated by small pizza places.

Great family restaurant with a great atmosphere and wonderful food! The food is by far the best in this area. Riggies are hard to beat and $ 10 special on Thursday! Yummy steaks and chicken dishes too! Delicious crab cakes for a good price! Nice to have a decent place for us country folk!

I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if you are planning any kind of party.
We recently had my baby shower at Gone Coastal. The staff was so friendly and overly accommodating. The manager was great at helping us make sure everything was to our liking while setting up and the servers that worked the shower not only catered to our every request, but they did so with a smile and a great/​friendly demeanor.
The room we were in had a great/​cozy feel with fireplace and we were able to come in and decorate very easily. The food was delicious and all of our party guests felt very well taken care of. They even worked with us on the number of people that we had vs. the number we had planned on. The manager recognized how difficult it is to get a true count and did everything within her power to accommodate.
I would definitely go back for a party or even just for dinner. Your staff can make or break your restaurant and this staff, combined with the comfy atmosphere and good food, makes it a great place to eat and enjoy!

This is a New England style restaurant in the middle of very nice almost town in the country on the side of the road. It is on the outskirts of Rome NY. It was a very charming place with a very friendly staff. I had the Prime rib which was very good. It came with a baked potato and a squash vegetable.
I was on the fence for four stars. The only reason why I didn’t was that I have been to lots of places like this and it just like the others. A little better salad bar and maybe a little better bread selection would have pushed it to four or five stars.
There isn’t much in the area for competition so if you find yourself there I would recommend you go.
