Disorganized and overpriced. It’s fun to poke around, but the guy has no idea what he’s doing. As for just how jacked up his prices are… he has a set of Pyrex Primary Refrigerator Dishes for $ 68! They go for $ 40ish on eBay. Even with shipping costs factored in, he’s easily $ 10 over the average price. It’d be more understandable if he ran a clean, upscale establishment, but it’s just a glorified junk shop. What’s the point of running a business where people just look and don’t buy?

Such a cool spot for treasures and good memories. Husband runs this shop next to his wife’s homemade ice cream. Such a lovely day

WAYOVERPRICED! I will advise that whatever you are considering purchasing from the retro pop shop that you look up the value first! This place is full of overpriced far from pristine items and reproductions that a TRUE collector will immediately steer clear of. However, for an inexperienced collector this place could be a VERY costly mistake/lesson. The owner Pierre tried to sell me SEVERAL items at more then triple and in some cases 5 x the true value! When I had had enough finally after 30 minutes or so I politely called it a day. I definitely left concerned for the tourist or novice collector that this guy is ripping off. If you are intent on going to this place anyway my final piece of advice would be at least bring your smartphone, iPad or laptop and look up whatever you are thinking of buying and find out what the REALVALUE of the item you are considering purchasing! Pierre obviously can not be trusted to price appropriately.

If you are a vintage porcelain and tin sign, Coca Cola or novelty collector, Retro Pop Shop is a place you absolutely must visit! Pierre Duhon has an incredibly rich collection of memorabilia, most of it in extremely good shape. His largest collection is of Coca Cola collectibles, including signs, coolers and vending machines. Many are restored and working, some are not. He has a lot of other items and you can spend quite some time exploring the store. His prices seem fair across the board, and he is very personable and engaging to speak with. My wife and I discovered his shop through another antique store in Great Barrington on a trip to the area, and we’re very glad we sought him out. This is a source for collectibles that you should definitely put on your list of resources. When visiting the store, make sure to try Scooped Ice Cream next door– his wife’s business.

You really have to stop on the way past this place it screams come in. The owner is a great guy I appreciated the gift he gave to my daughter. I can’t stress STOP and go in enough you can kill a lot of time looking and looking because he has so much stuff you miss some on the first walk past.

I love the Retro Pop Shop. First of all, it is so well-maintained inside. It doesn’t feel claustrophobic or overwhelming. The owner does a really good job grouping and arranging the items — many of which are soda-related or McDonald’s-related — in attractive and often whimsical ways. His stand mixer collection(from the pale green 1950s-1960s) is lovely. We found some neat stuff on our own, and then the owner saw my shirt and offered me something completely relevant to my interests and awesome, which was a plus. Another plus: have you ever gone to a retro shop that serves ice cream? Okay, get this — the Retro Pop Shop is attached to a homemade ice cream stand. And I found myself desperately clinging to the idea that I could eat their Oreo mint cookies and cream ice cream every day of my vacation… a person can dream, right? So the recipe for the perfect afternoon is: 1 visit to the Pop Shop 1 ice cream cone Mix until fully blended. Serve with Minnie Mouse back scratcher.

The coolest shop ever! A big assortment of advertising and collectibles, memorabilia and American Iconic Pop items with an emphasis on, of course, soda lol! From decorative smalls to full size vintage soda machines, it is definitely a must see. The owner Pierre is a really sweet guy and can probably tell you everything you need to know about every item in the store.
