Whiteville, NC
Super fresh coffee, great breakfast, and VERY friendly servers. Plus, an abundance of new items in the CB store! Restroom could use a little work. Generally pretty clean, but sticky floor. We’d stop here again.

Took an hour to get two meals, both meals tasted horrible and weren’t cooked properly. When we finally got our food, they forgot a side off both of our meals then that took 15 more minutes to get those. This restaurant is dirty and has a low 80’s health rating. I’m not shocked.
Spare yourself and go elsewhere.

This Crack Bar has good country fried chicken and lots of biscuits and sweet tea. As they all do. Is it a Michelin star place? Not exactly. Is it relatively cheap and decent? Yep. And great for my 4 kids so I’m not complaining.

The food was a disaster. The chicken fried chicken was raw in the middle and the roast beef was tasteless. The server was apologetic and the manager replaced the chicken meal but once you have tasted raw chicken you kind of lose your appetite.

Had lunch here the other day. The waitress was extremely nice and welcoming. We had to wipe crumbs out of our chairs and the table wasn’t wiped until after we were seated, but other than that the food was pretty good. Nothing to go on about, but typical Cracker Barrel fare. I had a hamburger on a homemade bun that was very fresh. My fries could have been crisper, they weren’t freshly fried. They seemed to be cooked in big batches and kept warm under a heat lamp in the back. That is a pet peeve of mine. You take time to freshly cook the burger and then you ruin what would have been a perfect plate by serving it with mushy fries that aren’t crisp and right out of the fryer.

This IS the place for good, no-​frills, downright solid southern food. excellent. the rainbow trout, catfish, and of course chicken and dumplins’ was done perfect. my travel companions from canada got a kick out of their sweet tea as well. all around it was a great dining experience. will continue to bring out-​of-​towners here.
