There was no wait when we arrived and we were seated right away. This was awesome cause we have 3 starving kids all under the age of 5 with us. It all goes down hill from here. It took 10 min for anyone to even greet us so we put our food order in with our drink order in hopes that we would get our food quicker. It took 15 min before we got our drinks and 30 more min to get our food. My burger came out and was missing the sauce that it was supposed to have. Our server ended up comping it so that was her one saving grace. The table next to us also had terrible service(different server) and ended up asking to see the manager.

We went for the Valentine’s Day special. The food was better then I was expecting for a chain restaurant, and the cheesecake was amazing. I enjoyed it more than the last time I went to Cheesecake Factory! Our waiter was also great. We will be going back again

I suggest grabbing a seat in the open bar seating area. The food is always good and the service is excellent. Alyssa or Casey are excellent if you get either of them. The Kookaburra Wings are an excellent start and I am usually very happy with the Outback Special Sirloin. Don’t be surprised if Joe, the proprietor stops by and says hello.

I had high hopes and hungry boys and we were pretty disappointed with what we got. We are staying at a nearby hotel so walked over to pick up our call-in order. Both of my sons ordered burgers, plain except for cheese and bacon. The burgers were over cooked, had no bacon(which we paid extra for) and loaded with tomato, lettuce, onion and mayo. My youngest son literally had to wipe the mayo off the bun with napkins! My husband and I ordered Cobb salads, mine with chicken. My salad was missing the chicken and they were both pathetic salads. They were the price of a full sized salad, but were essentially side salads. The high note was the side of grilled asparagus, which was delicious. When we called they did offer us gift cards for the trouble, but where we live there are no Outback restaurants within several hours, so that doesn’t really save our New Years dinner out.

The service was very poor. I had to ask for a refill 4 times. The food took forever. My steak was over cooked so it was chewy and over seasoned. The asparagus treated like propane. I’ll never come back. It was not busy either which should have been a clue.

If you enjoy being greeted, seated right away, then forgotten about, this is the place to go. The restaurant was slow both customer and service wise. Once we realized that we weren’t going to be greeted again or offered any water to drink, we started getting our things together. At this point a sever talked to the host and looked at us. Then she came up to us to say«hi, are you leaving?» When we told her that we were, she acted as if she could care less. Didn’t even try to see if she could make it right. With her nonverbal reaction, my wife and I felt like she said«See ya. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.»

Waitress with nose ring was rude and grossed everyone out by frequently touching it. Over cooked our steaks and really wasn’t impressed with any of our food

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We were seated for ten minutes before anyone came to the table. Servers are disorganized. All tables around us are asking for servers to check on them. We also had to ask for corrections to our entrees because the kitchen staff was clearly not ensuring orders matched the tickets. Very disappointing.

HORRIBLE food. It took 3 time to cook a medium steak. Hamburger was dry, frys cold. One waiter to wait on everyone. But the Manger did give the steak meal free.

The parking and seating were absolutely flawless. With Brett’s fabulous selection for us off the menu and excellent waitressing, Service, and food preparation we had an excellent time. Brett won us over and we will certainly be back. Simply a fine evening out in Lee’s Summit.

Love this place, always get seated pretty fast, even when it’s pretty busy. The hostesses and wait staff are always nice and they usually look quite good. I always get the 8 oz special, never fails, always cooked perfectly and tastes fantastic. Nice atmosphere and well priced.

An extremely bad experience all around. We showed up on a Sunday night at 8:30 and the kitchen closed at 9. We were sat in the bar which was fine. It took a full 5 minutes before our server showed up. He was occupied with a problem at another table which wasn’t his fault. I had asked for a burger and was told that they were out of burgers, which I felt was odd given this a national chain but Ok I ordered the Mahi entrée which consisted of mixed veg and a side of fries. My dinner companion ordered a crusted chicken. Our entrees arrived and on my plate was a small piece of Mahi rice and fries. My dinner companion chicken had a little bit of crust here and there but it was mostly grilled cheese on top of chicken, The fish was dry flavorless. The best part was yet to come. At 9PM(closing time) the lights came up in the bar and the spotlight over the table was so bright it was impossible to eat. I requested that they turn it down and I was told no. We were hustled out because the staff wanted to end their night but we had just gotten our entrees. Will never return.

It’s always nice when someplace exceeds your expectations. On the spur of the moment we decided to catch Outback late on a Saturday afternoon. Surprisingly there were up close parking spaces and no wait, so we were seated immediately. Our server was promptly at our table to take drink orders. She allowed up just enough time to make our decisions before taking food orders. It was nice that she returned with our meals exactly as we finished our salads. We both had sirloin & lobster tails. Steaks were at the correct temperature and sides were tasty. Presentation and quality were what should be expected in a high end restaurant. Both my sirloin and tail were easily as good as any I’ve had at Ruth Chris, but at a much lower cost — such a nice surprise! Again, service, presentation, and quality were much better than I expected at a chain steak house. Yes, I will be back!

Normally, this Outback would consistently earn four stars. I’m just bummed out that the chopped bleu cheese & pecan salad I mentioned favorably in a review from 11⁄13 was so poorly done last time I ordered a take away. My request for extra bleu cheese crumbles was apparently interpreted by the Garde Manager as «no bleu cheese or bacon crumbles, just enormous pieces of iceberg lettuce»(See photo) Based on the ribs and cheesecake being really good, I’ll go with 3 stars. But really, to mess up a salad???

Ordered the 6 Oz 11.99 special was able to get free bloomin onion by showing hampton room card. The steak was tough and had little flavor. The bloomin was free, but they have gone down hill over the past 10 yrs. I give 3 star’s based on the service which was very good.

This is one of my go to places for midweek. The bartenders are just the best and they make sure everything you get is the way it should be. They are always running some special and it is a bargain if you just do the special. It isn’t Ruth Chris or Mortons but look at the price… this is a great place for the money. I always sit at the bar becasue like I said the staff there is awesome and any of them could be working at anyplace in the city. Always a good time!

I would NEVER eat here again. The only reason I gave this a 2(downgraded from original review) the bartender(had her name but misplaced it) — she salvaged a horrible me by her service and she is 10 on any scale. Ordered a rare steak — came out medium to medium well. Ordered wood grilled — came out oven cooked? Sweet potato was good. The steak was thin and seemed like more Gristle than meat it was throughout the every bite and steak was tough. Terrible cut of meat. I never send food back because of fear but she saw it wasn’t a anywhere close to what I should have received and zeroed out my bill. Even for free I WOULDNOTEVERGOBACK… sad she has to work at this location.

Food is hit and miss. My steak was great and my wife’s filet medalians had a great flavor. While our waitress was just fine, the door greeter was unfriendly — wouldn’t speak to either of us, and i tried a couple of times. My fries were inedible and the Caesar salad was gross. For the price… meh.

Came in for dinner tonight and received a friendly greeting and was seated with in minutes. I hadn’t been to a outback steakhouse in a year or so but I remembered the wallaby darned drink, which is bananas and bananas is good… even though it is made with peaches. I ordered the large which is 12 dollars, didn’t know it cost that much but what ever, no big deal it’s 22 ounce of the good stuff. There was a lot of good stuff on the menu but I was working off a gift card so I just went with the double cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger was good and it actually looked like the picture in the menu the fries were hot, right out of the fryer hot. We order the onion pellets which is maybe ½ a blooming onion, it was good but we should have ordered the full size blooming onion. Our server was nice, through are conversation with her outback steakhouse was her second job and she was a little tired which is understandable so I personally can’t fault her for working hard I say her service was 3.8÷5 just had a few small bumps in the road but nothing big and it would not bother me at all to have her as my server again. I found a 15% off coupon on my smartphone that was suppose to be a print and cut coupon but she accepted the offer with management approval directly from my phone which was awesome. All and all we had a good evening with a good dinner.

Hubby and I were looking for somewhere to have dinner last night and I was specifically looking for a moderately priced steak so we decided to give Outback Steakhouse a try. I will just say up front that I came away with a very good impression of this location in Lee’s Summit. First of all, they are staffed with a whole passel of some of the nicest and most helpful young personnel that I have encountered in any establishment in the metro area. From the lovely young woman who opened the door and welcomed us; the equally lovely young women at the reception station who quickly found us a place on the seating chart and ushered us to a nice booth and, finally, the sweet, helpful and friendly service offered through out our meal by our server, I felt that they were very glad we had chosen Outback on Douglas for our evening meal. And it left me with a good mellow feeling about our visit. When you are first seated, a warm loaf of dark bread and pot of butter is delivered to your table along with the menus. Since I was looking for a steak I found that Outback has lots of selections to tempt me but I quickly decided to get one of the combos and went with the 6 oz Sirloin paired with two very nice crab cakes and a completely loaded baked potato. Hubby ordered the same. The steak was cooked just as I requested and was a very flavorful, if slightly chewy, sirloin, highly seasoned with just a small bit of heat. I enjoyed it and so did hubby. I also found out that ‘completely dressed’ means exactly that. The baked potato came with butter, sour cream, chives, bacon crumbles and grated cheddar cheese. Yum! There was a lot of food and we had to ask for a to-go box for the leftovers. So we felt we got value for the money. It has been a number of years since we last visited an Outback Steakhouse. But we had a good meal at a very fair price with excellent service so chances are we will return in the future. And, of course for good measure, we were sent on our way with a cheerfully sincere«Thank You for dining with us this evening.» that was actually just as nice as those we’ve been given at the high-end steak houses.
