Ordered their service after canceling Scotts. More expensive, but if good service costs a little more… Sold me the TruHealth Lawn Plan that includes a grub treatment. Price before a 10% prepayment was $ 480+.
First thing I got was a phone call for a free home energy audit which is an excuse to sell you insulation. Wanted me to pay a few thousand dollars. I passed. The guy asked to look at my Gas fireplace. Broke one of the fake logs. He said he’d replace, but never heard from again…
Their website shows they were suppose to evaluate my lawn in March. Couldn’t due to weather, but never contacted me about it. Just didn’t do it. I contacted them twice through their website about it and no response.
First application was suppose to be done Monday April 8^th. A week into April seems a little late to me but I figure its acceptable. Well they didn’t show up for the first appointment. After the 8^th the website shows its rescheduled to April 14^th. They don’t show up then either and the website now shows April 19^th. I called them to cancel on Mon ⁴⁄₁₅ to get my money back get transfered and then listen about how a lot of their customers are getting scheduled on Sundays when closed. Only one of the days was a Sunday… but after offering half off the first two applications promising it would be done by Wednesday and a hectic work week ahead I gave them one last shot. Wednesday comes and goes without them showing up and I haven’t received any of my refund (I prepaid). So I called to cancel again. They say that they were told to have it done by Thursday and i was scheduled today. I asked talk to the person I talked to previously. He’s not there… They say they will email him and he’ll call me back. I did wait a hour+ then decided I had enough. I didn’t care what they promised if they weren’t going to deliever. 4 days later still waiting on the refund…
Suggestion: Find the time to do it yourself. These national companies charge over twice the amount as doing it yourself and don’t give you any personal attention or real advice. They are always trying to get you to buy more or other services too. Places like Grasspad specialize in this stuff. Was able to buy my fertilizer for the year and a 50lb bag of seed for about 65% for the price of trugreen.
