Comcast Service Center

Have blast at 75/​Mbps Down — 12/​Mbps Up. Only runs between 15−40Mbps at 60+m/s ping. Multiple techs come out and just give excuse after excuse so they don’t actually have to do anything. First they claim it’s signal, even though the signal to noise ratio is 39dB. Then they claim it’s because I’m not directly connected, so I ddid a solid line test and no change in speeds. Been going on for over a year and there’s no one else in the area that provides internet. Worst comcast area I’ve ever dealt with.

Kudos to the team for good customer service. Went in on a Friday because the phone lines were down and I could not place a service request. I was visiting my elderly mother who was having problems with her TV and didn’t know what to do. The staff listened to the symptoms she was experiencing and recommended a new box. Within a couple hours the new box was installed and the old equipment returned. Very easy job and zero hassle!

This is an overall review for Comcast not this service center. This past weekend my Wife and I were walking out of our house to run errands. we saw a Brighthouse cable service truck in front of our house, my Wife turns to me and says, «hey are the neighbors having their cable serviced?» I responded with I guess. I then looked at the side of our house and saw the Brighthouse technician over by our cable. After walking over I asked, «Can I help you?». The technician responded with, «just fixing your internet service». I informed him that we have Comcast cable service and that he immediately fix the cable he cut. It turns out he read the address number wrong. First of all, there was no ring on our doorbell telling us that service was being performed, really Brighthouse this is how you train your service people. We then called our Cable provider Comcast and scheduled a service call to check out if any damage had be done. First thing Monday morning Comcast showed up checked everything over for us. We have never had Brighthouse nor will we ever. I see reviews about Comcast service being terrible, We have NEVER been treated with poor customer service from Comcast.

I haven’t had such horrible experience with any other company.
September 24 at 1:00pm, I’ve called customer scheduled moving of my services (TV+internet) on September 27^th to a new location. I got new account id and phone number to activate it on September 27^th when I move in to the new location.
1 hour later I’ve realized that my services were shut down (regardless of my moving date September 27^th).
I called to customer services numerous times in order to figure out what happened and why I don’t have services working. I was proposed different answers:
— it’s impossible to restore your service because customer support specialists registered my equipment at new address
— we can credit you several days back on you account while you won’t have services
— you can go to closest comcast service center and pick up new equipment which you can activate at my old place
— and etc…
I’ve asked to speak with a supervisor and my call was dropped…

It took from 3pm till 7pm when, finally, one of your customer service representatives were able to comprehend a problem and come with solution to create a new account, transfer equipment back and restore services back at my place.
At the end of the day I got my services back working again. 4 hours battle on phone with at least 16 times transfer my call from 1 department to another and verifying my address, personal data each time, instead of solving actual problem.
I was really surprised when I got billing email today with installation fees charges $ 40 (Install Fee — Video Unwired Home -$ 20, Install Fee — Internet — $ 20).
I haven’t had such horrible experience with any other company.
Why I’ve been billed for a mistake made by Comcast customer support.

The local staff and call center are great. The internet service is fantabulous! The, «On Demand,» services are nearly flawless (way better than Brighthouse which we had for 9 years). The base price for service bundles is extremely appealing. But all these goodies are negated by the nickel-​and-​diming they get you with for the converter boxes and signal fees which are now required for every set — even digital sets. Our base price for high-​speed internet and cable is $ 99/​month. But the: 4 boxes (2 standard & 2 HD), 1 modem, and HD package pricing, which are all necessary components for receiving the signals, total $ 168/​month. That’s about twice the price for monthly service I was told I would be paying. Yuck! There is a hefty $$$ penalty for changing/​canceling the service within 2 years. Beware what you think you are signing up for.

Can you give zero stars? Because that’s what they deserve. I called Comcast 1 year ago because of issues I was having. To make a long story short, 3 hrs with a technician later one of my issues, being able to record shows was still not available. Not only that, they replaced by modem which wasn’t the problem so I had to have my computer guy come out and reprogram my wireless devices because of the change in the IP address. I called and they sent a refresh signal. Nothing. I went to the local Leesburg FL office and was told their computers were down and they could do nothing. I finally called again. Got a great tech but he only has so much authority. Although he did tell me the reason I could not record shows is the tech that came out did not give me a DVR box. HE TOOK MY DVR BOX AND DIDN’T REPLACE IT WITH ANOTHER ONE. The good tech put me through to Customer Solutions. They refunded me for the service I had been paying for and said for my aggravation (REALLY!) they could give me 6 months of a movie channel free. I said great give me HBO. She said «oh we can’t do that you are already paying for HBO.» WHY AM I NOT SURPRISED. So I said put me through to a supervisor and immediately got cut off. WHY AM I NOT SURPRISED! This is just the kind of service you can expect from Comcast. They do have any regard for their customers. If there were another cable provider in the area Comcast would not get my business. They should not be in business. But you know what — they don’t care about their customers or their reputation.

This is not a direct review of this comcast office but the organization as a whole.
We upgraded to the new X1 system and were told that this is a cloud DVR so we never have to worry about losing recordings due to a box failure ever again.
One night a few weeks ago we go to bed with shows being recorded and many recordings of several series stored in the DVR. When we get up in the morning all recordings are gone.
Needless to say after many telephone calls and a technician visit and none of the recordings were ever recovered. Everyone said that everything was working fine and the best they could do is replace the box and oh by the way you will lose all of your recordings. Apparently they didn’t understand the issue we reported
This company has gotten too big and runs as a monopoly because they have no local competition. I seriously wish we had a real choice in broadband providers.

I’ve been with them since 2006 I will miss this cable company. One of the best services, and user friendly interface.
Comcast if you ever service the Winter Park Florida area please let me know. I am so bummed about leaving this company.

Great service and very professional staff. But get there early because the wait times can be a bit lengthy as the day goes on…
