I went here at the end of June with my two-year old and we had a great time blueberry picking. I like that it was strictly blueberry picking, we didn’t have to pay extra for a hay ride and were given free reign of any of the blueberry bushes. We picked on a weekday and there were some families there but there’s plenty of room so you weren’t crowded. I would definitely recommend, it reminded me of the blueberry fields I used to go u-picking in when I was a child in Michigan.

DH and I spent a Saturday morning here with our two little ones. We were able to pick 7.25 lbs in about an hour. The kids had so much fun and the farm was not crowded at all. Still early in the blueberry season but there were plenty of ripe, juicy berries. And you can’t beat the fact that the berries are not sprayed with chemicals! Next time we will pack a lunch to eat by the pond before heading home. I didn’t have any problems with the honor system and didn’t run into any issues like Scott B. Very quaint and there aren’t many places anymore that operate by the honor system. Will definitely be coming back here! FYI — the road leading to the farm is a dirt/gravel road. We’ll take our SUV next time :)

Wonderful and charming place, view, ambiance… and most important, amazing blueberries! Went on a Saturday morning, late morning actually, and it wasn’t crowded at all. Tons of blueberries all over the bushes, my SO and I had a blast, and so did the SIX kids we brought with us. We packed a picnic, and there as a nice shady spot viewing a pond where we could have lunch afterwords, complete with some fresh berries. Good stuff, highly recommended, will do again. Just one word of caution. I was so impressed by the sign that explained the honor system, there were scales available, and a money box to put cash in. Lacking any sign whatsoever of someone working there(this is basically someone’s house), I weighed our berries, saw that we had exactly 10 pounds and therefore got the volume discount of $ 4/pound, and put $ 40 in the box. On out way out after our picnic, we said«hi» to a lone woman was sitting at the table – who turned out to be the owner – who replied that she didn’t see us having paid. I said that I certainly did, $ 40, having put it in the box myself per the honor system sign. She stared at me unpleasantly and restated her accusation. I again told her that I’d paid. She again said she didn’t see me. After one more round of this, I again said we had paid and then we left. She remained unsatisfied, but what was I supposed to do?! So, our lovely experience picking blueberries with the kids was completely soured by this treatment. I’m an honest person and always try to do the right thing(I had even just lectured the kids about this when one of them said«how would they even know if we paid?” – I told them life is full of opportunities to do the right or wrong thing, and it’s up to you to make the correct choice), and greatly dislike being accused otherwise. So, best of luck picking and enjoying blueberries here, but beware of the honer system and the owner who is having trouble doing the right thing herself.

The SO and I just spent a wonderful morning here picking blueberries. Though it is still a tad early in the season, we were able to pick 6.5 pounds of blueberries in an hour or so. This was a wonderful farm, with a quiet pastoral setting, and the blueberries are delicious! They do not spray their fruit, and the price is now $ 4.50 per pound, but I thought this was well worth it. Picking supplies are available, although we bought our own tubs and that worked well. I highly recommend it! I only wish they had other fruit so that we could go back and pick something else. This will be my go-to place for pick your own blueberries from now on. We arrived at 10:30 or so and it was not crowded, which was also very nice.

Very very charming. With the help of my GPS and backup printed directions, the farm was pretty easy to find. Small signs printed with«blueberries» guide you as you get closer to the farm. In 2010, the price was still $ 4/pound on the honor system – you weigh the berries on a scale and leave cash in the till. Assorted buckets are provided for picking and new plastic bags are available for packing up your pickings. At first I was too busy eating to really fill my little bucket, but soon I was hunting down the BIGGEST blueberries to bring home. Hint: head towards the back bushes. They were less picked over, and on the Saturday morning that I came, it was easier to avoid the kids if you were farther back. Some of the berries were as big as semi flattened looking grapes! The bushes were the perfect height for me. Since I’m 5’2″, this means they’d be the perfect height for your kids, too. However, if you want to combine berry picking with more adult activities, there’s lots of wineries just a short drive away.

Pick your own blueberries are available here. The season starts around July 1 and runs until mid-Aug. in good years or only this month in 2009. The price in 2009 is $ 4/pound. The blueberries do not have chemicals sprayed on them so you can eat as you pick. Very yummy blueberries and a gorgeous farm. This is a small family farm so it is like you are picking berries from someone’s backyard. Great outing for small kids who don’t get a chance to see where their fruit comes from.
