I had come here with 3 other friends and we decided to choose the option of paying per hour. The other option being paying per person per game. With 4 people, we were able to finish about 2 games per hour(there was a little bit of racing the clock towards the end of the hour). I would recommend choosing the option that is best suited for your group whether you want to take your time or play as much as possible. The establishment was very clean which I was not used to for a bowling alley. They had a full bar and Seating as well as arcade games for kids with ticket prizes. Our waitress was very good about coming to our lanes frequently to check if we needed anything. We decided to order the bbq chicken pizza, chicken nachos, and a beer tower. The food was well priced and very delicious. One note to mention was the nachos were not like your traditional nachos in which chips are spread out and toppings were placed all over. Each individual chip was topped with chicken and cheese. The pizza was well cooked. It was slightly crispy with plenty of flavor. Overall I would recommend this place for all ages. The atmosphere is great and they have huge projectors to watch sports games while enjoying some bowling and good food. I would probably recommend making a reservation for a lane on a weekend night since here aren’t as many lanes as your standard bowling ally.

We attempted to go bowling here for the 2nd time with our kids. We got there at 6pm and was told that everything was booked for the day. We told them we had a Groupon that was expiring and the rude cashier said said it was our fault for using it last minute. We asked for the manager and he rudely said we could use it another day but only for the price we paid for the Groupon. We called Groupon for a refund that day. If you come in using a Groupon expect to be treated as a 2nd class citizen here. We will not be returning. Tip: — don’t buy food here. It’s overpriced. $ 18 for disgusting buffalo wings

If your intent is to come here, drink beers, and bowl a few frames with a couple friends on a Friday night avoid this place. Despite the fact that it has a bar it’s more family oriented than anything else.

Used a groupon. Had a reservation for two hours already set up from the time they opened that morning, even though the groupon was for one hour. At the end of the hour, they tell us we have to go because there is a party coming and no other lanes are available. I explain I had a reservation for two hours so they finally say we can swap to another lane but in the middle of the discussion they cut our game off on the current lane in the middle of our game and swapped it over to the new lane. Needless to say after the hassle and being cut off during the game we just left. Very aggravated and apparently unless you’re a big party they don’t care. After all we were just groupon users looking to save a buck right?

My 2 sons and I went there for 1 game. Place was pretty crowded. I explained we would be only staying for 1 game and the staff made xomment that we should keep moving quickly because there were people with reservations coming in 90 minutes later. Wait staff we had was very nice but I just about fell over when I saw the bill. 65.00 without tip! There literally 1 hour. Shoes 5.00 per? Very overpriced. Suggest doing calculations BEFORE and verifying with staff. The 8.00 a game is per person. Won’t be back.

For bowling the place is expensive. Its is very nice which makes it worth the money as long as your server doesn’t to MIA the whole time your here like ours did. We asked for menu and the next time she came by she dropped the check. I felt like she couldn’t get us out of there fast enough. Terrible service.

We used a groupon that we bought — 1 hour family bowling session including shoes. We had a good time bowling… and I beat my husband YAY! I love that you have bumpers for just the kids. But once it was clear I was beating the pants off hubby I let him use them, too.(I still won.) I have never cared for their menu there, so we only ordered drinks while we were bowling. Four drinks(non-alcoholic) was $ 6. As if that wasn’t bad enough, since I was using a groupon & gift card, I had the server add a tip and she decided all by herself that it should be more than I authorized. Since it wasn’t a credit card, I didn’t have to sign(which I thought was odd) and therefore I didn’t notice until after we left. #NotImpressed

It’s really dark inside, so you can’t see the markers on the lanes. It’s also WAY smaller with fewer lanes than I expected. However, even on a Friday night, wasn’t crowded at all. It’s a little expensive, but that just seems to be a given with bowling in this area. The service was good, and they have an array of food and drinks to choose from that they’ll deliver right to your couch. Had a good time, didn’t try the food. The bowling shoes are A++. Also, I swear one of the pins is glued down…

Bring your money bags. Expensive bowling. Nice atmosphere. Good food, but pricey. The rental shoes were in excellent condition. House balls were in fair condition… many had divets in them and felt grubby. Sanitizing hand wipes would be ideal at each lane as a lot of people are eating, bowling and sharing balls. The lanes don’t seem as slick as they should be and I wonder if the lanes are laminate and not real wood. I scored so low it wasn’t even funny. My biggest issue is that when the server delivered the bill at the end, the food and drink charges were not separated out from the game and shoe rental charges. I tipped on the food and drinks, but I was not going to tip the server 20% on the shoe rental and the game charges. I am happy to tip on the food and drink, but the way the bill was presented it is obvious that King Pinz feels that customers should tip the server for both the meal and the game charges. I think this is rude and a disservice to the customer to expect them to tip the server on the game charges and shoe rental. I used my phone to calculate out the charges, but it was annoying and took time. I had a sense that the server was expecting us to tip on the game and shoes as well as the food, and I do not think that is appropriate. Our server received a large tip based on the food and drinks we ordered. Tipping on the game and shoes would have doubled the already large tip. We also spent $ 30 at the arcade. Are we expected to tip on that too? It was the most expensive hour and a half ever. King Pinz should list the game charges and meal charges separately on the bill. If someone only wants to bowl and doesn’t order food or drinks than they shouldn’t be expected to tip the server at all. We will probably be back, but only once or twice a year. We would go regularly if it didn’t end up costing us $ 200 every time for one game and lunch.

The place is fun, the drinks are good, but prices are a bit crazy. $ 8 per game plus $ 5 for shoes. Then on top of it, not nearly enough staff so you wait and wait and wait for everything. Marked down because we spent more time in line getting money refunded for the games that took our money than actually playing.

This is a good bar where you can bowl a few frames between cocktails. I can easily see the Ashburn moms trekking out here with their screaming broods in tow(«McKenzie, McKenna, McKaylah, you ride with Kayden(with a ‘y’) and his mom in the Odyssey, and I’ll take Emma, Ella, Bella, and Kaiden(with an ‘i’) in the other Odyssey») and then proceeding to soar way over the legal limit on Chablis while the kids play all the games and Kaiden(with an ‘i’) wipes boogers on his rented shoes. The lanes were a little hard to see in the late afternoon because of the music videos on the screens above the alleys, but they had Guinness on tap so I became apathetic about my game quickly. The food was good(families in the lanes next to us were eating chicken wings WHILE bowling with lane balls… mmmmmm, keep licking those fingers and enjoy your wings with a side of Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease). You are paying a premium to bowl here, so make sure you look into their Monday specials and take advantage of happy hour. And if you notice Kaiden(with an ‘i’) picking up a chicken tender right after he puts down a house ball, let it go… he’s going to grow up to be a dick anyway.

Had bad luck with our last visit, broken lane, server had too much area to cover etc. However, manager went out of his way to way to make up for it with comping everything. We definitely understand those bad days happen for a place and they really did make up for the issues. We will definitely be back to enjoy King Pinz in the future.

I went here on Monday night with a group of about 15, we had 2 lanes at the end and it was great! This was my first time at king Pinz and I will be returning. I would like to recognize who I think was the manager, for being a great host and his customer service was outstanding! He checked on our group multiple times and even remembered to ask about the drinks we ordered if they were as great as he made them seem, the red sangria was the bees knees! I highly recommend it! He made a great impression on me and that’s why I gave 4 starts. It would have been 5 but our waiter that night seemed like we were inconveniencing him, he took my sangria away before I was even finished and half the night was unable to be found. When it was time to get the check he brought it to us as one, we asked him what the easiest way for him to split it up would be. He then turned the check over slammed a pen down and walked away. I wish I would have said something before we left. Besides that, great place to go on a night out or just some weeknight fun!

My son and I used a groupon for an hour of bowling which was an ok deal as regular bowling here is really expensive. We had just ate so we weren’t hungry but got 2 waitresses to help us. We just wanted to bowl. Odd that we got a bill for no money and odd that you have to usually pay for overpriced bowling and food AND have to support the wait staff when you don’t need anything when all you want to do is bowl.

Visited on several occasions and find them convenient to bowl at on a week-night when most other alleys are full up with league play. This is an upscale alley though with projected TV screens over the lanes and disco like lighting. This does make it difficult to see your marks on the lane so don’t come here to improve your average. Also the approach area of the lanes seems to be shorter than a normal alley which may or may not mess you up. They have a nice bar and food service to keep you occupied and satiated during frames. There are also quite a few games on the side to occupy the kids who may not like bowling. They are conveniently located near the Wegmans and several decent restaurants as well as movie theaters if you want to do something more than bowl.

I usually like this place for a quick drink. I had a bad experience today. The bartender disappeared for 15 minutes at a time. He saw my near empty drink and left me sitting there. Disclaimer– I was the only one at the bar. When he returned he just handed me my check without asking if I wanted anything else. His mistake because I was going to order another $ 6.50 drink! As he was running my credit card he propped his phone on the computer screen as he was face timing with someone! I was shocked at the poor service I received. This place is convenient and I am sad to say that I will be taking my business down the street to finnegans for a pre– movie drink.

This review is a 3.5 stars. The location is convenient to those living in the Ashburn/Leesburg area. There’s plenty of parking in the shopping center. The venue is between a giant multiplex(Cobb theaters) and a giant Wegmans. In between those anchor stores/theatres are quaint little shops, food places, and this very cool bowling alley. We come here when we want to spend about $ 7 a game, yup, for the convenience, it’s close to my folks condo. They offer full service food/drink/games. We had a fantastic server who always made sure we had enough food/drinks. The food is typically sports bar food. As far as bowling, it’s quite pricey, so you can be sure that it’s most frequented by kiddie/adult bowling parties. The lanes seems unbalanced as our balls kept spinning to the left, but that could have been our particular lane. The venue is unique in that it has an adult cigar bar, a VIP party room, and a fancy arcade. There’s lots of areas to sit near their lobby bar, and like I said the food is pretty good. For serious bowlers, it may be best to head over to the Leesburg Alley.

I went to King Pinz for a work event, so my experience reflects that of the non-High Rollers area, hence my two-star downgrade from fellow Unilocal Elite friend Heather G. There were about 8 of us split between two lanes; we found it odd that on a weekday afternoon that they could not accommodate us having longer than a 2-hour reservation on the lanes. Wouldn’t they want more money from us? King Pinz is an ADHD bowler’s dream. You can barely focus on rolling the ball down the lane due to the ginormous TV screens with larger-than-life Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus music videos occupying your audio/visual real estate, but I don’t think one comes to King Pinz to do «serious bowling» a la «The Big Lebowski» anyway. No leagues here, just get-togethers and parties. As other reviews have pointed out, the space is cramped. It grows tiresome having to crawl over your teammates when it’s your turn. The large coffee table in between the two couches at each lane are a bit out-of-place and too big. I realize this is a bowling alley for eats and beer, but isn’t that what the high-top tables are for on the non-business end of each alley? Speaking of food and drink, it looks like there’s an extensive beer/cocktail menu; sadly my work event did not include adult beverages. We did, however, order food from the menu. I will say that if you’re looking for«healthy» food, you’ve come to the wrong place. The typical fare of cheeseburgers, fried chicken items, and creamy pastas with breadsticks and onion rings weren’t appealing to me, so I was able to fashion a Paleo/low-carb affair out of their grilled steak salad, minus the blue cheese and fried onion strips, naturally. On a non-bowling front, there’s a small collection of arcade and video games, which is great for those who tire easily of bowling or the constant Miley Cyrus sightings on the big screens. Nice classics such as Skee-Ball, basketball hoops, Guitar Hero, etc., plus many games can be played for tickets redeemable for Oriental Trading Company-type items — good for kids in that respect.

If you are going to do it, do it right in the High Rollers Suite. This is my idea of adult bowling. It’s located upstairs and includes 10 lanes. There is one waiter for the entire suite but service was prompt and considering that the suite is located near the bar, the drinks come out quickly. The seats in the high roller suite are comfy and spacious enough for 3 – 4 people. I would not recommend this place for children. Actually, I would be OK if they banned children from here. However, if I worked in the area, I would request all corporate functions to be held here. This is really my definition of a bowling alley.
