The customer service is pretty great here and everyone is so friendly. The merchandise… well, it could be better. Many times, it’s nothing that a quick wipe down won’t fix, but dirty, stained clothes? Really? Not good. All in all, I check it when I’m in town, but don’t go out of my way.

I go to this place often. The building is really small nothing fancy but I’ve picked up some great fined likes Blazers and vintage Blouses. Sometimes it hit or miss but that’s usual with any thrift store. I would say go and check it out if your in Leesburg.

Two visits and I didn’t bring anything home. As a seasoned thrifter, that’s about as a good of a measure of the relative merits of a thrift store. Given the fact that they’re are not many big thrift stores in Loudoun County and the size of this location, one would expect to find better stuff here but no, no dice. You can drop off donations in the back, and I imagine that if you were friendly with the staff you could dig through the new donations for the true scores because they cannot be found anywhere in this place. The clothing, for adults and children, is pretty sparse. The book selection is average. The media selection(cds, records, etc) is minor. The knick-knacks and kitchenwares are lacking. They have a bunch of furninture in the back but it all looked heavy and old, much like this location. It’s off of Route 7, at the very end of a lonely road. If you struck out and you’re looking for a good time… the VADMV is just down the street. :)

The Salvation Army Family Thrift Store in Leesburg VA has a wide variety of items at a fair price. Unlike the Salvation Army in Annendale VA, this location is still priced like a thrift store, making it affordable for nearly everyone. They have a huge selection of clothing if you are into thrifted garb, and their house wares and décor offerings are large. There is an entire section devoted to furniture and large items. Although the furniture seems to be slightly pricier than the other items, it is still mostly fair. As the largest, and probably best known, thrift store in the area, they seem to get a large number of donations, making for a lot of variety and turnaround in their offerings. However, they are not 100% charitable because their employees are paid, so shopping here is not as immediately helpful as at the other 100% charitable stores. If you are looking for thrift shops solely to save money, it is a good place to visit. If you like to feel good about your thrifty shopping, it is last on the list as the other four are all ran by volunteer labor. All in all, I would definitely recommend the store, and it is even worth a drive from out of town.
