This Shell gas station provides a rare blend of inconvenience, discourtesy and questionable business practices. This is the only station that has ever required me to pay cash in advance for more gas than my car will hold. The service inside is rude and unprofessional. It’s difficult to get to a gas pump because of the tight space. The location, at the intersection of two busy roads, is difficult to get in and out of safely.

3 years since my last review. I’ve avoided this station even though it is closest to my house. But, I stopped there this week for a fill up because I was in a hurry. Guess what? Still no receipt tape at the pumps. They want you to leave your car, come inside and wait behind 5 other people getting hot dogs and lottery tickets. Another employee stocking shelves finally came over to help when the phone rang. Yipee! Who’s got the patience for this?

Ugh. I really do not care for this station… I go because it’s close to my house and if I am headed Rt 15 South there isn’t another station along the path for several miles… but UGH. Dear Town of Leesburg, please open another gas station on this side of town! I don’t like it mostly because it’s always packed. It’s difficult to get in & out of, and I can’t remember the last time I was there when there aren’t pumps that were«out of service». That means after you 5 pt turn yourself twice to get to the pump, you realize all that effort was wasted. Today I was there at 230 on a weekday… it took me 30 minutes to get to a pump. Grrr… I could have(read: should have) gone across town.

Avoid this station. Apparently one of the pumps started charging a customer before the customer had pumped any gas. The interesting thing is the pump showed that it had just passed inspection. I recently learned that gas pumps rigged to overcharge customers is nothing new so always check your receipts. Another quick way to check for overcharging is pump 10 gallons of gas and then divide the total amount charged by 10 and compare that against the price per gallon advertised on the pump. If the per gallon amount you are charged is more than the per gallon price advertised on the pump you should ask for a refund of the overcharge amount.
