Went to the salon for the first time today. Theresa listened to what I was looking for and gave me excellent advice! Love, love the haircut and style she gave me! Will definitely be going back for color and highlights at the end of the month! Theresa is awesome!

Color was actually good but not light enough. Wasn’t close enough to scalp. And for a private business never wanted to fix it

I have been going to Technique Colour Hair Studio for over 10 years. The owner is extremely talented knowing exactly what hairstyle and color looks the most natural on a person and the style that is the most flattering. I love that when she colors my hair, most people do not even know I color my hair because of how natural it looks. The owner is extremely personable and incredibly flexible always working around my schedule. She is competitively priced and in a great location in downtown Leesburg. There are no downsides because she is just so talented!

My husband and I moved into Lansdowne Town Center last October and finding an awesome hairstylist has been proven to be an arduous task, especially after having a wonderful stylist from where we moved from. Thankfully, the heavens have answered my prayers and brought me Ms. Theresa Kennedy! She is wonderful! I loved the hair color and cut she gave me today! I will definitely never go back to a generic salon nearby where I live. :)

I am one of those unlucky people who started going grey at a young age and so have to get my roots done every ¾ weeks. I had a wonderful stylist for years who left for pastures new and since then, my «hair» life has been a disaster, either too blonde, too dark or just plan horrible. Then I found Theresa and am I happy I did. I found her from the wonderful reviews on Unilocal and took a chance. She knew immediately what I needed and I walked out of her salon a happy «hair» person for the first time in over a year that first visit.
I now see Theresa on a regular basis and she works her magic on me, turning me into a natural (ahem) brunette with some lighter highlights, very flattering. I actually feel like I am going to see a friend now and if I could give her 10 stars I would !!

Theresa Kennedy at Technique Hair Salon has been performing her magic on my hair for the last 15 yeatrs. She is a consumate professional, with such creative talent that it never ceases to amaze me. The salon is warm and inviting, like being n someone’s home. Theresa makes you feel at ease immediately and really listens to what you want. Her expertise with color is just one of her many skills. The prices are very reasonable and she goes out of her way to accomodate her clients. I highly recommend that you pay her a visit and let her transform you from just average to stunning!

A great stylist is like a best friend. You want someone who listens to your crazy ideas, compliments you when you’re feeling down, and through it all — no matter how loony you sound or how many ledges you must be talked off of — they’re there for you at the end of day, reaffirming your life decisions.
Theresa is that stylist. She took me in broken and battered by the slew of stylists I’ve been through over the last decade. Disenfranchised, unsure of my own opinion. In her steadfast hands, my hair came back to life. Bouncy, shiny, perfect cut and color that actually reflected what I asked for. She is indeed great with color– ask her for whatever your heart desires (really, truly) and she’ll make it happen. I asked for subtle caramel highlights, a bit of ombré color at the tips, and choppy bangs with layering throughout. Voila! There it was. I expected it to be nothing like I had in mind (as this what normally happens when I go to salons), but it was just what I wanted. She’s the first stylist to ever tell me my hair looked healthy and to keep doing what I was doing– a major plus because I’m tired of being told I don’t know how to take care of my own hair and that I need this or that product to get better hair.
Above all this– she is a sweet, kind woman who is easy to talk to and makes you feel at home in her cozy little salon. Don’t come expecting to find hoards of people, uppity stylists or arrogant product-​pushers, that’s not her style. And it is so refreshing.

Theresa has been making me a «natural blonde» for the past 7 years. Absolutely, the best Master Colorist in this area. I’m very picky about what I expect from a colorist. Theresa continues to amaze me with her open conversation, true talent, and learned skill of coloring. If you’re looking for a colorist in the northern Virginia area, stop looking and book an appt with her today.

Theresa has cut my hair for the last 6 years and I’ve never had a bad haircut! I can’t say that for many of the previous stylists that I have been to. Her prices for men’s haircuts have always been quite reasonable and she is always been able to accommodate my odd schedules.
