Bob is freaking awesome. I called in from California in search of an obscure brand and wanted to know if I could purchase from him. Although, he wasn’t able to sell me anything due to his contract with the MFG, he was super helpful and gave me solid information for my build. So go here if you want super friendly and honest service! Thanks, Bob!

Mitch has helped me with a few car issues of the years, business issues as well as my web site and social media. Mobile Edge is really a place that deserves for you to stop and check out today. True professionals at what they do.

Mobile Edge is easy to drive past the first time you visit and its in a small rural town practically in the middle of no where — but its the only place I go to. When I wanted to get my windows tinted along with a car alarm installed several years ago on my 1999 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS I had asked around and my girlfriend(now wife) said there was a local shop near her that does that stuff. Knowing nothing about that kind of stuff at the time — they answered all my questions and steered me in the right direction. I dropped my car off and picked it up a day later. Needless to say they did an excellent job on the tint and the alarm system and never had an issue with either. Then a few years later they ran a Fathers Day contest and I ended up winning. My dad owns a ratty 1995 Ford Escort LX but needless to say they did an excellent job installing a remote start and he especially loves it when the weather gets cold since he works construction. There are a ton of shops in Allentown but I was adamant about taking it to Mobile Edge when we got a new car. My wife and I just stopped in a few days ago to see about tint, remote start, and an alarm for my wife’s new 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek. This is *her* baby and naturally I wanted to take it to the same place where my previous car was done since they did a great job. After talking to Bob for a little bit he actually ended up showing us around the shop and their new area for building sub boxes. While I’m not into that sort of stuff — it was awesome to see their passion for what they do and the great care they take with your car. My favorite part about Mobile Edge is that everyone is so friendly and the owner Mitch can be around somewhere so if there is ever an issue you can find him. Their showroom is also nicely stocked and is very well done. This place is a hidden gem in my opinion. I seriously cannot praise this place enough. They might be out of the way but they’ve made me a huge fan over the years.

There have been quite a few changes, in my life, as well as with my car. I’ll skip the life drama and just fast forward to the present day as it concerns my car… In January of this year, I traded in my Fusion for a Nissan Rogue. I took all of my aftermarket equipment out of the Fusion, and paid a visit to Mobile Edge to get it all reinstalled. My issue this time is, the Rogue is a small SUV, and I didn’t want to lose all of my cargo space to a subwoofer box. So I talked to Bob, told him what I had in mind, and made the appointment to get the work done. All I gave him was some guidelines as to what I had to have(cargo space) and what I didn’t need(my spare tire) and I left the rest up to him. I dropped the car off and took off on an 8 day Caribbean cruise, complete trusting his skill and judgement. When I came back to pick it up, it completely surpassed what I had envisioned. As usual, the work was top notch, clean, and visually impressive. When I have the car setup in «family» mode, the only way you can tell its not completely stock is by the Bit One DSP near my shifter. But once I take the hard cover off to reveal the subs and let the volume crank, you know damn well that its not stock… A few months after the initial install, I went back with notes I had taken about what I liked and didn’t like about the sound, and Bob took an entire day and retuned the system for me. Most of the issues had to do with the fact that the Rogue is essentially a hatchback, so the acoustics are a lot different then they were in a car where the subs were in the trunk. But now, everything looks and sounds amazing, and I know if I have any issues, the guys at Mobile Edge will take care of it. There’s really not much else I can say. It really is a great install. I’ll let their write up and pictures tell the rest of the story. I’m looking forward to going back and getting the Drone Mobile remote starter installed soon, and as soon as I can find a head unit I like, I’ll get that done there too. I can’t recommend Mobile Edge enough to anyone in the market for mobile electronics.

My boyfriend got a new used car 2 months ago and has been trying to install a new cd player/bluetooth ever since. We tried having a used unit put in to replace the broken old one at the place where we bought the car but that one didn’t work either. The mechanic there said it would be really easy to put a double din unit in if we decided to buy one. Anyway we have been looking for the absolute smallest price/quality ratio and finally ordered a double din unit from Amazon that fits in the car. We called best buy and they quoted us $ 150 plus antenna gps adapter for the install which we thought was a lot since everyone had been saying how simple it is to install. We read all of these good reviews of Mobile Edge and figured we would just call them up since they probably have more knowledge than the people at best buy and might know how to do it a little better, and therefore easier and cheaper. We called up and the guy said it would be around $ 150. We figured we would rather go there than Best Buy so we set up an appointment for the coming week. We told the guy we were waiting on the unit but he told us to bring the car down while we were waiting so he could look at it. The next day we drove over there and this particular guy told us that«it’s common sense» that we should have brought the unit. He also said the installation is «not simple at all» in a «you are SO stupid» tone. He also said it would be difficult to do since the factory bose stereo is «a piece of garbage.» After the condescending comments were done, he said the installation would start at $ 400 and go up from there with the«bose adapter» being extra even though I don’t think this adapter exists. I really don’t appreciate being quoted such a vastly different price on the phone and I especially don’t appreciate being talked to like I walked in asking him to slaughter a family in exchange for a stick of gum or something. Not really a good way to get business or demonstrate that you have expertise in your field. If anything it made me scared to ever get anything done there– if one person quotes $ 150 and one person quotes over $ 400, how can I trust this place and where are they getting these numbers and ideas from? I am going to go to a place in Allentown tomorrow instead and will write a followup review. The guy there quoted me $ 275 and explained in detail exactly where he got that price and everything he would have to do to install the unit in my boyfriend’s vehicle. Not a lot to ask but apparently hard to provide if you don’t just walk in with $ 1700 asking them to do whatever they want to «hook up» the car.
