A nice little place to stay for very cheap. We have a 3 day weekend for just $ 120! Lacking in amenities and there is a guy living here next door to us. For what we need — which is basically for sleeping, it’s perfect. Cons: There is no continental breakfast, the blankets have burn holes and the rooms are dated. Pros: Heat, good AC, clean, no bugs, courteous staff, good price, refrigerator and basic cable on flat screen tvs Just don’t make it your vacation — sleep there and go on your way.

Clean, warm, well lit room at a great price. The man who runs the place is extremely friendly. The room was equipped with a television and a mini fridge as well as internet access. Overall very pleased. I would stay here again.

I love Mooney’s Motel. I have stayed at Mooneys 3 times while visiting PA. The Motel is clean, and I mean clean. The bathroom is small but who cares. It’s a toilet, sink, shower and window to let the fresh PA air in. That is all you need. The bathroom is way cleaner than any other«Motel» I’ve stayed at, excluding high end Hotels, of course. Yes, the rooms are old fashioned, like you are sleeping over Grandma and Grandpas house. Wood Paneling on the walls and the TV sits on an old fashioned TV Cart with Wheels. I actually feel this adds to the charm of the place. They office personnel is friendly and very accommodating. Extra pillows, blanket, anything you need. The price is almost a steal. Where can you go for $ 50 and spend the night in a clean room /bathroom with a decent TV to fall asleep by and a refrigerator that keeps your snacks /beverages ice cold? Some motels charge you an extra fee if you want use of a refrigerator. Also, if doesn’t matter what time of year you stay at Mooneys. The heat and air condition work well for a comfortable stay. If you are a smoker(I am not) there is a little grassy court yard with a bench or two where you can have your smoke. If you do not know the area, Mooneys can be a little tricky to find so when you get close, slow down and pay attention so you don’t miss your turn. Check out their website.

I crashed at Mooney’s after a concert at nearby Penn’s Peak. This place is no frills for sure, tiny room, 70’s fake wood paneling, etc… Typical motel. I only paid 50 bucks to stay here which I thought was a great value. The staff was nice, the room was clean, we had everything we needed. This is not the place to bring a fussy girlfriend but if you need a really cheap place to crash that has everything you need. its not the Ritz but it’ll do!
