Old Homestead Tree Farm

My family has been going to the Old Homestead Tree Farm since I was a little girl. Without a doubt, they have the most beautiful Christmas trees I’ve ever seen. So why the negative rating? We had a very disappointing customer service experience this year. We like a certain variety of tree that they usually have available already cut. We asked one of the employees whether they had any. He said they did not have any cut. He continued, «There are plenty left up on the hill to cut down, but you girls don’t look dressed for that today.» He laughed and walked away. Well, we have occasionally cut our trees down in the past– when my father was alive. But now he has passed, and cutting down a tree is maybe more than my mother (a senior) and I can handle ourselves. Though we were the only customers there at the time, with plenty of staff around, no one offered to assist us in cutting down a tree. We certainly would have tipped heavily. My mother was in tears as we left, so disappointed. Thankfully we found a beautiful tree elsewhere. Our annual trip to the Old Homestead may be a family tradition that ends this year.
