Our family stayed at a local vrbo close to Puckett’s. Heard about open mic night while eating one night. Reserved a table and showed up as they got started. Very talented musicians from young to old entertained us for 3 hours. Try the pulled pork and Mac n cheese too. Sweet place!

We lived in Nashville for 2 years and visited Leipers Fork one random Sunday and stumbled up on Pucketts. Well, we live in Birmingham AL now and drove up for the weekend and made our way back to Pucketts. Incredibly friendly staff, good food, live music, cold beer and just classic southern charm. I wish we had spent more time there when we lived in Nashville. Sitting on a patio with the BBQ smoke blowing in your face listening to some great music ain’t a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon! We’re already planning our next trip to Leipers Fork and look forward to Pucketts patio again. Leipers Fork is the kind of place me and my family would love live. There are several Puckett restaurants around town. Check em all out, you wont be disappointed.

Most fun summer thing to do with kids. Music, country food and free movie in the park on friday nights. If you haven’t been to Leiper’s Fork, it’s worth the drive.

The original Puckett’s is excellent atmosphere, food and live jazz music today. What a beautiful place on the planet in this quaint town of Leipers Fork, TN Several antique stores, leather goods and art galleries make this a fantastic afternoon.

It’s a quaint place with so so food in a touristy part of Williamson County. The people are nice and well meaning but this is a dive and quite frankly, a disgusting place. They must breed flies here because they are everywhere. If you like dirty hole in the walls and don’t mind flies everywhere inside and out, give it a try. Bright side, the music is often great.

Comfy, casual, and best fried bologna sandwich I’ve ever had. Come as you are! It’s kind of confusing to order and pay as a crowd in front of a grille counter, but no one seems to mind. Everyone on staff is welcoming and working hard.

My wife and I decided to come out to the original Puckett’s to celebrate Father’s Day a day early. We called before hand and were told there plenty of seats. When we showed up at 6:00 we were told they had reservations at 6:30 and asked if we could sit outside. My wife asked if there was anyway we could sit inside because we have an 8 month old baby and it was really hot outside. The hostess ask how fast could we eat, could we be done in 30 minutes. And from then on was condescending and rude. Even though we had driven 30 miles to get there we left without eating. I don’t care how historic or good your restaurant is. There is no excuse to treat people that way.

I visited the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon around 2. The food was excellent! I loved the homemade veggie burger and the black berry cobbler.(I literally am kinda addicted to it now!). They had some people playing some music and people were sitting around. It was a fun experience! The only thing that I did not like about the restaurant is that it was not that clean and the bathroom was disgusting with urine all over the floor and toilet. It kinda took awhile for the food to come to. This I had to overlook because the food was so good and I have never been to a restaurant in the south that has had a acceptable bathroom condition.

It’s not about the food. The food is ok. The food that comes from the grill takes 30+ minutes. That seems crazy to grill a burger, but just expect it. The bbq meat is good at times. They are ALWAYS out of ribs. When the food is fresh, it’s good. Not great. Good. However, this place is just historic. It’s like being in living history. The live music they have on most nights is epic. The house band, led by the owner, is very awesome. Lieper’s fork is a small town located very near to a much larger city. It just feels like it’s part of country and folk music. I’ll never pass up an opportunity to go catch some live music and dinner there.

GET A RESERVATION if you want to do open mike night. I had been in for lunch and thought the food was slightly above average. The servers let off the vibe that my presence was inconveniencing them. I drove by a few days later and saw the sign for Thursday night open mine night. The website said there was a shrimp boil on the calendar. I showed up with my wife and walked in. It seemed some people were seated and some were ordering at the counter. We tried to order the shrimp boil plate and were told we needed reservations(told in a tone that we were idiots who should have clearly known that a shrimp boil/open mike night in the middle of nowhere rural TN on a Thursday night would require a reservation). The bartender was the only staff member I ever saw smile. The rest didn’t seem to understand that they are in a service industry. We wound up taking our food outside(after being told in the same tone that tables are reserved). After finding no BBQ sauce on any tables outside where the peasants were to dine, I had to go back and nearly leave my first born for a deposit. Summary: descent food, good/cheap beer, lousy staff– except the bartender. And even though the website calendar mention it nowhere– get a reservation. I am surprised I was able to order a beer without a reservation.

We walked into the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon to check things out. The place was smoky and smelled of burnt grease. The food in the display case looked ok, but due to the unappetizing smell we immediately turned around and left. Bad thing is that the smell of burnt grease stayed with us the remainder of the day!

Just the best burger period. Simple, hip country with a touch of blues, Harley’s and a fire pit. My daughter and I have deep history here. It’s more then food to us.

If you like cold food and no service this place is for you… Would not recommend just eat at a place for nostalgic to get bad food… Not worth the trip, had to ware coats because it was cold in side…

We just wanted some coffee, so we stopped at this bustling restaurant. There was a great live band. This place operates on the honor system. Although there is no wait staff, you pay after you order your food at the counter and fill your own cups. The music was great, but the honor system and the payment system isn’t efficient. It took about 10 minutes to pay our check, since the line was so long. Also, the food counter is right beside the cash register. It is really hard to tell who is waiting to order food and who is waiting to pay.

Some people would be surprised that I give Pucketts a 5 star as it always seems to struggle with its own identity, but I am going for what it offers in an aesthetic value. Yes its a restaurant, yes its a music venue, yes its a grocery, but its also all 3 at any one time. Its one of the main draws to the area, and is what spawned all of the successful down town restaurants that share its name. Wife and I always stop in for a cream soda, some candy, and fried pies. I have also had BBQ while I was here and it was very tasty. If you are coming for a fine dining sit down establishment, you will be disappointed. If you come expecting some good olé country kitchen cooking, you will be very pleased. Every once in a while you may even see a famous person walk through the doors, and that’s what makes this plave so fun to stop by.

Ok, this is really an update from my earlier reviews of Pucketts. After expressing the order issues a couple of times, Rob, has personally come to the table and checked to be sure my order was correct. He is a humble man who will go get your«whatever was forgotten» and bring it out to you. The place always feels like you are welcome, like family. So I gotta give credit, Rob follows up… thanks!

My cousin, her friend, and I stopped in Leiper’s Fork on a sunny Tuesday afternoon and decided to grab a quick lunch at Puckett’s. The place has such a nostalgic feel and great people working there that make it seem as though you’re eating with family. I ordered the meat + 2(it’s sort of cafeteria-style when you order) with pulled pork, sweet potatoes w/marshmallows, and fried okra. The meat and sweet potatoes were pretty tasty, but the okra was just ok, it didn’t have much flavor sadly. We found a little table in the middle of the restaurant and we were able to talk just fine with the low noise level, there were only about 4 other people eating, too. It was about $ 7 total for the meal and you pay after you eat, so remember what you ordered. I love the feel of the place, I’d maybe stop by again when visiting.

The concept of this place is certainly appealing… the«old» look and«original» grocery store turned into fresh local southern style cooking. But the execution is severely lacking. The ribs and BBQ looked appetizing, and my friend & I decided to share a full slab, which was a lot cheaper than two half slabs. The meat was fatty, tough, and not anywhere near what we expected, wanted, or have had elsewhere. Side dishes such as cole slaw, fries, were expensive. Another negative was the smoker is outside in the midst of the dining area(literally within 2 feet of the outside dining tables), so you can’t help it but get smoke in your clothes, hair, etc. The outside patio tables were not cleared, or cleaned, and we had to do it ourselves to sit down and eat. Oh, and a most important negative:
