Thanks to this place in lemon grove I saved quite a bit of money. I originally had taken my t. v to a place in El Cajon on 2nd and the estimate was sky high to have it fixed. the guy was pressuring me to buy a new one from him and he would give me credit for my broken one… ummmm fishy! I took my t. v home and 2 days later while in lemon grove I had seen this courtesy TV shop. I decided to give it another shot and brought my TV in. I asked the gentleman if it would be worth to fix or buy a new one. The following day the man Steve had called me and said it was worth keeping since it would only cost $ 140 to fix! HECKYA I WANTITFIXED!!! My t. v is only 2 years old and a 62″ so yea it’s well worth it. This place is honest and awesome. Soooo happy to have my t. v back!!! I was afraid I would really need to replace it due to cost like the rip off in El Cajon said. So glad I brought my t. v here for a second opinion and happy it didn’t take long. I can’t live with out t. v since I’m a real couch potato. Thanks to the man Steve for his honesty and professionalism you ROCK!

this place is a nightmare! DONOTWASTEYOURTIME! believe me! the 3 good reviews for this place must be family and friends of the owner. but real customers like me and the terry guy from the other bad review are not lying. i don’t even think they know what customer service and courtesy means. if they tell you they are gonna call you back you can bet your life they won’t. it doesn’t matter who you talk to. the lady there is the worst one to deal with. she just doesn’t care. expect to recieve NO courtesy phone calls on your TV’s progress. expect them to have you waiting for months and when you finally get them to actually talk to you about the TV they will give you the run around with no shame Wat so ever. this place has been the worst experience by a VERY long shot and I’m the type of customer that doesn’t ask for a lot to be happy. believe me I’m saving your life. You couldn’t even PAY me to send people to this location. save your money for a real TV repair shop with people who care about their customers and that actually know the meaning of courtesy. if anything they deserve minus 5 stars. i only gave them one because Unilocal makes you put atleast one star. this place is a JOKE.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars! Unprofessional, rude people… please go somewhere else if you need your TV repaired!

I too met Steve Browne, the owner of Courtesy TV in Lemon Grove, at a city meeting involving the addition of a farmers market here in Lemon Grove. I’m the market manager. My personal opinion is that he is very interested in his community and involved/invested in his business. Not sure what is going on with Terry W. here in these reviews but my first opinion of Steve is that he is happy, polite, ready to help. I can’t tell you how many TVs I have just thrown out because the sound stopped working or on the other spectrum no picture on screen. I agree with Kathy H. «We don’t have enough of these small, single owner businesses around anymore :)» The owner, Steve Browne’s card indicates *55 Years of Experience You Can Count On.” Support your local businesses! Call Steve Browne — the owner of the business — at 619.697.4050.(:

I read the earlier review and found my experience(s) with this small business was the complete opposite! The owner, Steve, was courteous and professional. He understood the problem with our tv was intermittent and kept the tv running and checking on it until it did the same thing for his team to be able to analyze the problem and fix it correctly. His pricing was very fair, and I would recommend this business to my friends and family. I have been back to his biz for a second problem and again, had the same experience. Maybe there was extenuating circumstances that«Terry W.» didn’t know about — we all have an off day, but for me, I was completely happy with Courtesy TV. We don’t have enough of these small, single owner businesses around anymore :)

I’ve never been so irritated in my entire life by a business. I took my tv to Courtesy TV in Lemon Grove last MAY. I’ve brought it home twice and it’s still doesn’t work. The first time it worked for less than one day. The last time they didn’t put the power board back in before returning it to me. I got it home and there was nowhere to plug in any of the cords and cables. They continually promise to call me «tomorrow» and then don’t call. They lost my power cord. Excuses after excuses and there’s always someone to blame. It worked fine while it was here. The tech didn’t come into work. The tech will be here tomorrow. The tech had the day off. It’s ready. It’s not ready. Blah blah blah… I’m starting to doubt there’s ever really a «tech» anywhere on the premises. Today, it wasn’t ready for the 900th time because, get this, the owner had«important things to do». That may rank as the number one thing you should never say to a customer. I went from annoyed to furious in two seconds flat. Unfortunately I paid them for the repair after I picked up the tv the first time so I can’t stop payment. I’ve just about written the whole thing off as a loss. This guy is completely ridiculous, incompetent and irresponsible. I got no courtesy and no tv at this place.

Steve and Bob at Courtesy TV provided the most excellent service in helping me diagnose a problem on my old plasma TV as well as delivering me an excellent new TV. They were in fact«courteous» and dedicated to excellent service. They returned calls promptly and assisted me with pick-up and delivery above and beyond the call of duty. Few companies of any kind provide service like this. I highly recommend them for your plasma and LCD TVs.
