This was probably the best veggie phở I ever had and I have been to many places. I have phở once a week, if I can. I was visiting from Santa Rosa and this would be my new favorite if I lived in San Diego.

I have definitely had better phở in San Diego. Do not waste your money here. Go to Phở Hoa down the road if you really want authentic phở.

I love to eat phở and I love to try different places. I have been to so many different places to eat phở. Today I was driving pretty close to this place so I decided to try it. OMGTHISHAVETOBETHEWORSTPLACETOEAT. We came in the three of us. I ordered phở with light onion so they decided to not give me any onions. The serve sat three tables down from us and stared at us the entire time we couldn’t even enjoy our food. I asked for a refill on my drink and as one of the serve was about to come the one that was sitting was like no refill as he watched us. Every time I needed something the server took a deep breath like I was getting on his nerves. If he was doing his job I wouldn’t need to call him to my table. This place made me feel uncomfortable and I am very unhappy. If I could give them a negative star I would!!!

I regularly order from this place as it’s the closest one to my house. It has good rare beef phở. The broth is great. The various Chinese dishes are so so and the portions are smaller than other places.

So today I ordered a large tofu with veggies for pick up. I got vegetarian chicken and tofu no veggies. I’m not happy at all paid $ 10.69 for something I didn’t order. This is the second time this has happened and got my order wrong. Maybe someone that speaks fluent English would help. But the crazy part is they repeat your order and still gets it wrong! Sorry it’s frustrating when I cant just go back since I’m at work now. They expect me to go back later to return it. It’s just really disappointing. I will not return or order from here again.

I’m glad that we found a phở place closer to home! We usually go to Phở Hoa. At first we were confused with the phở section of the menu, but with the help of one of the employees we discovered that it is a customized order based on your liking and you’re only paying for either a small or large bowl. I ordered a small bowl with beef broth and meatballs. At first, I thought the broth tasted bland, but then I realized that it only tasted that way because they do not add MSG into their soup, which amazed me because it was actually very delicious and in comparison to other phở places, it was not oily either. The only seasoning choices they offered was sriracha, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and some kind of chili sauce. The small was actually the perfect size. They provided a perfect serving of noodles and meatballs. The dish made you full, but not to the extent where you were bloated or in the phase of «eat till you puke» full. I would definitely recommend this place. The phở is absolutely delicious. We have yet to try the other dishes served on their menu.

I was craving an avocado boba dink and this place was on the way. The thing cost me about 5 bucks and tasted like milk and ice. Wtf. The atmosphere was nice, I guess. Maybe I’ll give it another shot but I don’t think I’ll buy a smoothie from them again.

The food is good but sometimes I’m displeased with the service. They aren’t in any hurry to serve you and don’t seem very happy when customers walk in. I don’t like being judged when I come into the restaurant and order only to be asked, «have you had this before?» in a questioning tone and way that conveys that I’m don’t know what I’m ordering or I’m not cultured enough to eat soup that contains tendons. Yes. I’ve had it before and yes I like tendons, tripe and lemongrass. You don’t have to be of Asian descent to enjoy the food.

I got the bun bo hue and the broth was too salty. It was late in the day when you’re getting served what’s at the bottom of the pot, but you hope the cooks check that. The broth also didn’t have that extra edge. Was sort of flat in my opinion. I’m spoiled though, usually eating phở in City Heights and Convoy. Veggies were fresh. Service was fast and friendly. Always comes down to the food though. Has to.

I was excited to get a phở place by my house. 1st off I placed a phone order come in to pick it up and they tell me I must of called the Chula Vista location. I look on Unilocal to double Check the number and no, I had the right place. So I continue to tell him what I ordered and he still tells me no. Then I guess something clicked in his head because he says chicken phở and spring rolls. I’m like uhh that’s what I’ve been saying. So right now I’m annoyed. I prob won’t come back. It was nothing special. I didn’t like the way the veggies taste in the spring roll.

I have been here on several occasions and unfortunately I have noticed a steady decline in the service and quality of food at this establishment. This is damn shame because this restaurant had great potential. The wait staff had little knowledge pertaining to several items on their menu and the boba in the shakes has a questionable texture. I also noticed that the cashier was on her damn cell phone the whole time I was there! Never coming back here and I would recommend that you stay clear from this freakin cesspool.

First and last time dinning here. We decided to try this spot out since it was the only phở shop near by and didn’t feel like driving far. Walked in and the lady sitting at the front counter did not acknowledge us for a while and the place wasn’t even busy. She was just playing on her phone! I ordered the vermicelli bbq pork chop bowl and my BF had phở. Phở was disgusting, broth had no flavor, lacked noodles and meat! The bbq pork chop was dry and burnt! Save your $ and go else where!

Place is clean. Service is kind and as adequate as any other similar place. Let’s be honest, you go to a phở place to eat delicious soup. Been here a few times and I generally go for the rare steak, the girlfriend the veggie soup. Hearty broth in each, which is what what makes it our new go to phở spot. All meats, vegetables, and condiments are fresh and clean. Everything comes together for a satisfying meal. Two days later, we are craving it again.

This was our first time here and overall we were impressed. The rare steak Phở I ordered met my cravings, and the chili sauce on the table gave it that extra little kick that I was looking for. Even for lunch, the place seemed to be fairly quiet with only about three other tables sat. The service was pretty standard for a Phở restaurant, and the prices were fairly reasonable. My girlfriend enjoyed her orange chicken and agreed that the portion size was adequate. I’ll definitely keep this place in mind the next time I get my weekly Phở craving.

The Phở was watered down. Their Vietnamese coffee is pre-made and uberly sweet, tasted more like chcocolate milk. I got the spicy lemongrass soup, which was not spicy and I found a piece of sponge metal fiber on it. They ran out of 2 things that brought me in. Stuffed squid and the vietnamese fermented rice balls. I don’t think I will be coming back here.

Absolutely stoked that this place is in my neighborhood! The phở broth has a light, fresh flavor. I ordered the lean brisket and it was not chewy or fatty — it was just right! My daughter ordered the shrimp phở and loved so much she wanted another bowl! I ordered two chicken skewers for my little two-year-old and he ate them up!!! My beverage was the Thai iced Boba and the boba was chewy and hard. I notified my server, «J» and he was quick to exchange it with perfectly soft boba! Kong was the other server on duty and he made sure to help out when J was not available. Kong and my seven-year-old daughter had a great time talking Star Wars! I really appreciate when people include my children because they are little customers too! If my kids like a place they make sure to say let’s go back there and they definitely said that about this place! I have not experienced customer service that was humble, friendly, and genuine in such a long time! I met the owner and he was not very friendly… He is definitely smart by hiring a great staff who are friendly!

WARNING! STAYAWAY! Go to El Cajon Blvd. Horrible Service and Flavorless Food! I was going to give them 2 stars but because how rude the workers/owners are I decided on a 1 star. The food was subpar and service was TERRIBLE! I ordered water and a Thai tea. I had a question about their spring rolls and asked what come inside the special pork roll. The waiters response was pork.. Obviously, but what else. What’s the contents? Carrots, lettuce, mint, what else is inside the roll? He replied with pork and then told me he’ll give me more time? What are you talking about more time? I haven’t even order my meal yet. He helps other people gets me my Thai tea and walks away. The tea is horrible it tasted water down and the boba tasted as if it were sitting inside the drink for awhile. Instead of chewy it was mushy and slimy. I order the spring rolls and Phở and ask for my water again. I get the spring rolls and ask for my water. My Phở comes out and again ask for my water. Another person walks by and I ask for my water. Half way into my meal and after the spring rolls I get my water. The Phở broth was ok, the noodle to meat portion was ridiculous. I ordered the flank, meatball and rare steak. I got 2 slices of steak, 1 meatball and 1 piece of flak. That was gone immediately. So disappointed. I finished my water and just stared them down for a refill for about 20 min. They would look at me straight in the eye and then turn around, intentionally not helping me. At this point I wanted to get up and leave. Forget the food and everything just leave. I finished and was still waited for my water. Finally the waiter came over and asked if I wanted the check. I asked for water and the check. I got my water and he walked away. Another 10 min passed and again I felt the only appropriate measure was to walk out. I asked about the check and he said for me to get up and go to the counter and pay, after he just handed out 3 tables their check and took their payment. I was furious, I stood my ground and sat there and said I’ll pay after you give me my check. After 5 min he gave me my check, I went up and it was the hardest thing to do because they didn’t deserve one penny. I paid and am never returning.

YAY! There’s a NEWPHO’ Restaurant closer to home! I dined-in Sunday night at 8:30 p.m. and was impressed by their menu choices. WOW! They have a large menu selection — from Thai Food, Chinese, and Vietnamese… Not only do they serve Phở, but they also make Pad Thai, Crispy Noodles, Homemade Wontons, Boba Drinks; the list goes on. I got served by a young gentleman name, Kong. Outstanding customer service! My very first dish here was the steamed chicken wonton. It was perfectly steamed and yummy! For my entrée, I had the Spicy Noodle Soup with beef steak. This was DELICIOUS as well! If you like spicy, I’d recommend you trying this. I prefer it better than Phở’. FINALLY, a YUMMYPHO’ restaurant in Lemon Grove! Good Luck to the owner & staff!

I I have to say I am liking this new Vietnamese eatery located in Lemon Grove. I stopped in for an early dinner and was in the mood for some bún. After surveying the menu, I found a great looking dish, the Bún Royal which included grilled shrimp, chicken, beef, and pork served with one Vietnamese egg roll served over cold vermicelli, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, mint, cilantro, and some crushed peanuts for $ 8.95. Simply because I love them, I ordered three additional Vietnamese egg rolls for $ 3.95. The bún came with a generous amount of protein. The chicken was the most plentiful and was very good. It was very tender and came with some great seasoning a very good rub as well. The pork too was tender and juicy with a good char and rub on its exterior. The beef which was the least amount, had a great char and color. It was not as tender as the chicken and pork, but it tasted great. The shrimp were good, but were a little over cooked which gave them a chewy texture and not that nice succulent pop that a perfectly cooked shrimp provides. The rest of the ingredients of the bún were great. They did a great job with the thin vermicelli rice noodle which was perfectly prepared. The noodles had great separation, were light, and were clean and fresh. The mint and lettuce were fresh too, and the peanuts as usual, are always a great addition. All I had to add was a little soy and fish sauce, and I was ready to roll with this meal. The three egg rolls were quite good. They were vegetable rolls and prominently tender tender tasty mushrooms, carrots, and some glass noodles. The rolls were very crispy and had a nice golden brown color. These were nice to eat with a little fish sauce and sriracha. All in all, a very great bowl of bún served with friendly and timely service.
