Very cute and cozy! It’s small, and has a home-y vibe to it. It’s definitely not your regular breakfast place. I enjoy it. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s worth the money because it’s not a chain breakfast place. They make everything from scratch, with healthy products.

I love how this café is distributed throughout the converted house; moving from room to room to find the perfect place to sit, eat, and sip comes naturally.

We love this place: the atmosphere, the coffee, the friendly and professional staff. Their sandwiches and quiches are good too. I know lots of people who work their on weekends: it is quiet enough and working is not frowned up. The best place for coffee in the area.

Wow this place is adorable. It’s the first floor of a house. Good coffee, great atmosphere. Tried the cappuccino and sour cream coffee cake.

One of coolest coffee shops I’ve ever been in. The atmosphere is cozy, music just the right volume, and the drinks and food are just perfectly made. Wish it stayed open later, but it’s still the best coffee in town and is only 3 miles from campus.

Tiny rustic café 5 minutes from Penn State. Awesome coffee and scones. Can’t wait to go back.

This hidden gem in small town Lemont was among the best café and lunch spots that I have been to while a student at Penn State(6 years). The atmosphere is super charming, with outside seating in a secluded and shaded patio, or inside seating in a unique/rustic/vintage dining common. Wasn’t hungry enough for the Quiche of the Day, but the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese biscuit sandwich was the best breakfast sandwich that I have ever had. Simple sandwich, with ingredients at the peak of their quality.

Adorable tucked-away spot for a coffee, breakfast, or light fare. Stopped in on my way home from a conference at Penn State. Enjoyed a delicious coffee blend and a tasty slice of quiche. Also picked up a homemade granola bar for the road that was divine. Definitely will return when I am in the area.

This is definitely a hidden win for State College. The café is only a few minutes away from the university by car and has a small parking lot for use in the rear. The entrance is a little squashed and if the line is long, it can block the door. The coffee is between $ 2 – 3 for a freshly roasted brew and they hand you a large mug if you are eating in. JJ and I both were hungry for breakfast, so he ordered the quiche of the day and I had the chicken salad(both between $ 5 – 7). The quiche was delicious(roasted potato and leek!), and the chicken salad was served on small pieces of bread with probably about an inch’s worth of the spread on the inside. The chicken was finely shredded, so it oozed out the sides a bit, but it was a tasty beginning to the day. It would be a great place to study for an afternoon(free WiFi!), as it’s fairly quiet and has great food to snack on. If you’re a coffee junkie, you have to pay 50 cents for every refill, so be strategic about the size you order.

Very busy place. Got a Chai Latté and was very pleased with their chai blend and the portion size. Very quaint, eclectic atmosphere. Served in a cute ceramic mug.

Lemont is a small town that has a lot to offer: Café Lemont being one of them! This cozy café is located in a convert house that contains a few other businesses. However, Café Lemont definitely has the BEST set up. Along with the outside seating in the back(that is where you can access the main door from their private parking lot), the Café also offers the front porch as another seating option(which is a beautiful place to enjoy your coffee). They have a large coffee selection(cappuccinos, espressos, lattes, etc.) and a really nice variety of flavors to add to any coffee you choose. They also have a very nice selection of loose leaf teas(on the shelf across from the counter). I actually prefer their loose leaf tea selection to the Cheese Shop. You can either get a cup/pot of tea there or they are more than happy to put some in a few tea bags or a small container for you to purchase and take home. Their menu is covers a wide variety options: snack, meals, sandwiches, soups, fresh baked pastries and desserts. For those of you who it applies, they have a nice assortment of gluten-free pastries. If you are there for breakfast I highly recommend their Oatmeal and a traditional Cappuccino or Vanilla Latte(they always make some sort of «Latte Art» in my coffee). It is delicious and so hearty! The Café offers inside seating as well: high tops are located right across from the counter, and there is also a nice«living room» set up of various tables, chairs, and couches in the next room and hallway. Another great thing about Café Lemont is that it does not attract too many undergraduates… YES there are students there studying, but most seem to be older(grad students??) and very quiet and respectful. Café Lemont’s staff is always friendly and are happy to answer any of your questions regarding their menu items or where they get their ingredients from.

Nice, cozy and quiet coffee. Lemont is a small village just outside State College, so the crowd tends to be more local and/or post-graduate people than college students despite being at a 5 minutes drive from campus. The Café is inside a converted house, shared with other businesses, and besides the interior it has a patio and a courtyard(with parking). There is usually art from local artists exposed, plus a few books to read if you want to spend some relaxing, quiet hours. Espresso and Lattes are really good, and there is a relatively large selection of flavors to add to you lattes if you like some variety(my faves are the brown sugar cinnamon and especially the almond roca). The food is really good. My favorite sandwich is the Smoked Salmon BLT, and the soup and quiche of the day are always worth a try. Milk, eggs, bread and pastries are always from local producers. Service may be slow at times, but everyone is always nice and courteous.

I tried a few coffee places in State College including nearest competitor Saint’s Café and I was glad to note that I found a wonderful roaster and coffee shop in Café Lemont. The beans would burst in flavor in even the drip coffees. I tried the decaf blend and the Sumatra and they were both excellent. I asked for some steamed cream in my coffee and they were happy to oblige. The storefront is in a house, shared with another business upstairs. Very quaint, tiny area within the seated area among homey décor. Among the peace outdoors and the neighborhood surrounding with small mom and pop shops, I quite enjoyed the ambiance as well. Great service, great coffee.

Hands down the best coffee house in the State College area. Café Lemont serves quality fresh roasted coffee, and espresso. They also support using local ingredients in their food whenever possible. Also the atmosphere in this little coffee house is great. A converted house with great charm as well as a nice courtyard. Overall a great cup of coffee, and great people as well. If your looking for a great cup of coffee in the state college area this is your place.

Hidden away from the hustle and bustle of downtown State College, Café Lemont was a pleasant find for an afternoon Mocha Latte. Served in oversize mugs, the coffee was rich and delicious and the huge Snickerdoodle cookie was soft and chewy. Although a bit too chilly to sit on the back patio or front porch, we snagged a small table in the front room of the former house and enjoyed some peace and relaxation with various students and locals. Like any good modern café, there is free WiFi and you don’t even need to worry about paying for parking with a private lot in the back. Definitely four stars, just don’t tell too many people.
