My group went to the studio on 4⁄22 for the open BYOB paint night. We originally purchased the Groupon about 2 months ago. When we tried to make the reservation online, it would accept the code, but the cost still said $ 35. I called the studio and(I believe) spoke to Jen. She apologized for the convenience and said she would look into the issue and call me back. Within a hour or two, she called me back and said I can proceed with booking online. No issues with booking online after the problem was fixed. An important thing to know is that the studio ONLY allows wine and beer — no hard liquor. The location is in a very cute studio in downtown Lemont with plenty of parking within walking distance. Our group arrived a little after 6:30PM. We were greeted and seated quickly. We were able to set up our food and drinks at the table behind us since there weren’t that many people at this particular event. Right at 7:00, Jen officially began the class. She explained all the items that we should have in front of us(canvas, paint, 3 brushes, chalk, etc) and made sure everyone had all their items before we continued. Jen was INCREDIBLY patient and explained the process with great detail since most of us have never done this before. She was very friendly and answered any of our questions and gave us advice and assistance when asked. She is a GREAT instructor and was very easy going and comfortable to be around. I am in NO way an artist, but I was pleasantly surprised and happy how my painting turned out. I know I will be going back to this place in the near future and dragging my fiancé along. :)

I had such a great experience there overcoming my fear of painting with attentive and friendly staff along with their exceptional BYOB policy. This nicely decorated studio is fantastic for groups of 2 or 20! Bravo!

My friends and I purchased a Groupon for this studio. When I tried to schedule a painting session via my phone it wouldn’t take the Groupon code. I called the studio and spoke with one of the owners, she said that she will put in my reservation and send me a email confirmation. 3 hrs later no email so I called back, her response I will put the reservation in when I get to studio this evening but you are on the list. Okay, next morning still no email confirmation and another friend in my group was having the same issue. Now frustrated I called the studio for the third time. She wasn’t apologetic for not reserving my spot and sending me an email confirmation she just said I will be in studio that evening your name is on the list with your 7 friends. She didn’t ask for their names, all I got was you are on the list. A list doesn’t confirm a spot an email does… that is why the website says register. Irritated by her lack of effective customer service I and my group cancelled our Groupon. I cannot support a busy with bad customer service. I only gave it 1 star because Unilocal require a rating. My true opinion is –1 star for bad customer service.

What a wonderful place. I have been here three times since September. Jen and Jade are so helpful and accommodating. If you need a place to have a party this is the place to go! I can’t wait to go back!
