Four of us went for dinner there last night, Friday the 13th. We all enjoyed our food and drinks. We knew there was going to be entertainment, and the music was great but VERY loud. We had to shout to hear any conversation. We asked a couple times if they could tone it down a bit but it never happened. We all agreed we’d return again for dinner but not on a night with entertainment.

Food is delicious but a limited menu. I wish the music started earlier for the crowd.

This is an excellent place to eat relax and have some quality drinks. The service was wonderful. The food was impeccable. The ambiance was romantic. our waiter gets a10 in my book. I would definitely come back to this bar lounge. I believe at 10 they remove the tables and this facility turns into a dance club.

I came here with a groupon with my sisters, and we had a really nice time! We went on a Wednesday, and I was nervous about not having a reservation– what a joke that ended up being. There was probably no more than 10 people in the place the whole night. When we walked in, there was a hostess desk, with no one at it… it was kind of confusing in that first moment to figure out where to go. Once we walked further into the place, we were seated promptly, and asked for our drink orders. They have a really fun martini and specialty drink menu, which we all stuck with. I had their dragonberry mojito, the honey smash, and the sangria. The mojito tasted like a bag of skittles– VERY sweet and fruity. Honey smash was a spicy combo with mint and honey whiskey– less sweet but still good. The sangria wasn’t very sweet either, which I’m not used to, but it was a nice wine drink(not entirely suited for the cold winter’s night we were there, but oh well!) Our waiter was manning the bar and our table, but came to check on us frequently, which was great. For food, we tried a lot! The crab stuffed mushrooms were a little salty, but good. The Asian lettuce wraps had a lot of chicken in them, but the flavor could’ve been kicked up a notch. Both appetizers allowed us to have more than one sample though, which was nice. I had their lounge burger– comes with onions, mayo and guacamole. Every topping came in its own little bowl, which was good because I didn’t want much mayo, but wanted a ton of guac. It was a large burger on a soft pretzel roll— delish! They even got us to order dessert– I guess thats what having the chef, manager and waiter keep checking on you will do! We got the fresh baked cookies with the dipping sauces. You got 3 small-ish cookies with a whipped cream, Chambord and chocolate sauce. Too much sauce for the amount of cookie, but everything was fresh baked and yummmmmmmmmmmmy. The place had a cool«classy vegas club» vibe. Damask wallpaper, elegant lighting, two bars, one of those big banner thingies that you see celebrities pose in front of for the club they are at… I imagine it would be a really cool weekend spot too! I would definitely come back.

Again… tried out this place after a groupon purchase. My friend and I visited around 7pm on a Friday night — this seemed like the perfect time to go. There wasn’t a wait or anything to be seated but as we were leaving, the place was pretty crowded. We ordered the appetizer on special which were lettuce wraps and drinks to start off. The drinks and martinis are average priced and good, I might add. For our meals I had the skirt steak sandwich and my friend ordered their burger. Both were pretty tasty. The skirt steak sandwich was a little on the tough side but no real complaints here. We topped off our meals off with a glass of sangria — also pretty good. They have entertainment on Friday nights and there was a band on this particular night — they weren’t too loud but we really couldn’t hold a conversation over the entertainment either. Also, the crowd was definitely the baby boomer era… older crowd and I was expecting a younger crowd for a lounge-type place. The service was good, but I wouldn’t say this place is a place I must visit again as nothing was amazing about it. I don’t live in the area, but a few towns over and just wanted something different.

It was an ok spot for dinner… nothing special to report. The menu was rather limited and the service was A little lacking for the prices. A much more«seasoned» crowd for a Friday night and my ears are ringing from the band that was playing. Probably won’t be back… but if it’s still around when I turn 55, I might return.

Went here for their Halloween party a few days ago. Had their lobster bisque(amazing!) and a few of the signature blood orange martinis. The décor and ambiance is really well done — it has the feel of going to a downtown lounge. By 11, the dj came in and played a really great mix of music with a few throw backs. The staff there is great as well. We never felt like we had to wave down the bartender for another drink, they came around with perfect timing and filled our glasses to the rim. It wasn’t too crowded or empty. Plenty of room to dance without bumping into people. We stayed until 2am and had a great time!

A Groupon brought us in to Orange 13 on a quiet Thursday evening for a glass of wine and a light dinner. My favorite thing about this place(other than it is 2 minutes from our house) is the décor and ambiance. So beautiful with a main bar in the center and wine bar in the back. Soft, comfortable seating and low lighting and great background music, so perfect for sipping and talking. We started with the much touted Lobster Bisque and while I thought it was a bit rich, the taste was good. I’m not a fan of surimi(imitation crab meat) which was in the soup. Let’s put it this way, I’ve had better but the portion size, cost and presentation were very nice. We ordered apps to share, the Beef Crostini — excellent and a good amount of filet for the cost of the item. The Pork Sliders(buffalo, mozzarella and traditional BBQ) very tasty once we asked for more sauce. We were impressed with the wine list and tried one of the many creative cocktails on the menu. Our server was friendly and on point even though she was also tending bar. The owner stopped by to introduce himself and on our way out, told us about their live music on the weekends. We are definitely making plans to return on a Friday night to catch a show.

I went tonight for the first time with my parents who go often because they live across the street. So we walk in and are seated in this less than crowded restaurant by either the manager or managing partner. He says our server will be right with us. 3min pass…8min pass… after 11min our server comes. He mentions a martini special but there’s no list to choose from, so he disappears another 2min to retrieve a list. In the meantime we wanted water. The water took 12min to arrive. Then he takes the martini order, and disappears for at least 15 min. So now we’ve been here 45min, and have only water to show for it. My dad says, «The service usually sucks and we expect that, but this is ridiculous». We were gonna get an app with the drinks and then bail to a neighboring restaurant but decided that it would probably take just as long to eat. I will say that the food was good. I understand that they’ve scaled back a bit from higher end food to more of an upscale bar menu. My steak sandwich was spot on. Truly delicious. The food is the only thing saving this place. This place is where service goes to die. If I did my job like their servers do theirs, I’d be fired and looking for work

DININGREVIEWONLY for a Saturday night at 7p — alright, the lobster bisque is out of this world! Not salty and bread served with soup nice touch. Meal portions generous. Had special of the day — pork chop — fantastic. Appetizers typical, but flatbreads very unique. Chicken w/artichokes on ciabatta bread wonderful & filling. Ambience really different for Lemont, but thanks for that-very much needed. Please don’t bring kids — this isn’t the place for them. Kristina was great! Didn’t rush us, very pleasant & accurate with drinks, meals & recommendations. Nice that the manager or one of the owners stopped by our table for introduction. Overall, I would definitely come back for dinner to try everything at least once, even though menu is somewhat limited. Hope that expands in the future.

Bought a groupon for Orange13 so that we could try this place out. Apparently a lot of other people also bought the groupon and also waited like us till the last day or two to use it — mistake on our part, take the fault there. BUT the owner acknowledged that it was the last days so the service may be a bit slower, so we figured«ok, sure why not, completely understandable’. Boy was I wrong. We were seated within a few minutes of walking in the door. Once seated, the owner(also our waiter) was very abrupt with us, asking us what we wanted to drink and then disappeared for another 5 or 10 minutes. We did not order alcohol, so I can’t speak to that in this review, but it looked like they had a nice list of different martini’s/wines, etc, but the prices seemed a bit high. We order the lobster bisque based on reviews I saw on Unilocal and it was definitely delicious! Too bad it took 25 minutes to bring us our soups after we ordered. Then took another 10 – 15 minutes to get our main entrees — keep in mind, only sandwiches. Our total dining experience lasted an hour and a half, totally wasnt expecting that. Now, I understand being busy because of the expiring groupon but wouldn’t you hire a few extra people to work those last few days if you are expected to be ‘swamped’? Apparently not, it was only the owner and another guy who were working the whole place. You could tell that the owner was running around like crazy trying to get to everyone but I think our experience would have been better had there been more attention to our table. You expect to go to a place for good service which I felt was not all completely there. Our waiter(s) were very abrupt with us throughout our meal which makes me question if I will indeed come back for another visit. The soup was great, the entrees just so-so and as someone else stated, the interior was very hip and nice. Maybe we would come back some other time and just get appetizers and drinks, but I’m not so sure.

It was an odd experience to say the least. Outside of the lobster bisque(crazy good), the food was fair. Our waiter was also the bartender(slow night) and when we got the bill and discovered they had over charged us for a bottle of wine, they got defensive and blamed it on a menu misprint??? Manager came over and gave our party of 6 a free appetizer coupon for our troubles. And on a side note… how is bottle service in Lemont flying??? I don’t get that at all???

I feel like 4 stars is too many, but there are no halfsies here. I feel as if my review will be solely on the bar and not the restaurant. I got there around 8pm for a girlfriend’s going away party, and the atmosphere at 8 is completely different to the atmosphere at 11. The DJ comes in around 10ish, and then it goes from bar to night club. If you want to sit in a booth with friends, bottle service is requirred. If you have enough people it is worth it, but I believe our one bottle of Grey Goose was $ 180, BUT if you ordered a second one, it was two for $ 300. Which if you are going out like a night downtown(which is almost what it felt like) and a bigger group of friends, it is pretty cheap! The DJ was pretty darn good. It has been a while since I went out for a dancin’ girls night, but we had a blast. Although the pickens were slim, they are easy to fight off as they attempt to approach you. Like swatting at flies with a electrically charge racket. It’s almost like a game. Where you murder poor little boys dreams… aaaaaaaaaaaaannnddd I’m off topic. SO! The atmosphere was really cool, I liked the look at feel of the place. Drinks are reasonably priced, staff if nice and friendly, and the DJ is rockin’. OH! One more thing, when you order a bottle for bottle service, they bring it out with a firework-like-sparkler but cooler. That is by far the best part!

Gorgeous, hip interior. Good food. Delicious lobster bisque! The place doesn’t feel like anything else in the area. Very unique. Not sure how to describe it or categorize it. But I think that is in a positive way. Maybe. Is it a restaurant? Is it a bar? Is it a lounge? Does it even know? But a strangely generic beer list. In a time when craft beers are so popular, it’s odd for a place this trendy to not offer a beer that is more diverse than Guinness. Probably not for kids. They would hurt the vibe. Please don’t bring ‘em. The place never seems super busy, so getting a table probably isn’t difficult. And those tables are cool in design, but do not make for the most ergonomic dining. A bit awkward. I hope they survive. It’s a tough business to be in, and trying something different is always risky. Give it a chance and see what you think.

The schizophrenia mentioned in another review is exactly what I felt… but, it’s the randomness of this place that will inevitably draw me back. It’s clear that some of the staff think they work in a restaurant while others think they’re working in a bar. Food was very good. Our server was first rate. The total experience was erratic. The lounge singer was fab… but far too loud to be singing to an 8:00 dinner crowd that was trying to engage in their own conversations. My takeaway is that they’re learning by doing… and that’s great. Given the packed house, they’ll have time to figure it out. Or they won’t…and the randomness will continue. Part of the issue is the design of the space. Regardless…the food was wonderful. The entertainment was great. Go.

Not really three stars. More like 2.5 stars. I suspect Orange is struggling with an identity crisis. Is it a nightclub or is it a bar? We decided to check out Orange because it is somewhat close to us and we knew Chef Reinhart was working there. Walked in at 7pm on a Saturday. Swanky modern décor. Not at all suburban. Nice. Asked the hostess for a table for 2. She declined. Huh? I asked why we could not have a table for dinner when they had no one waiting and 7 tables were open. She said that the 6:30 reservations called and were running late. Um… okay, but the tables were not together so it was not like a big group got held up somewhere. The likelihood of multiple groups that reserved tables for 6:30 and 7:00 pm were all running late AND called to say so seems like bs to me. Since we were there anyway, we went to the big granite horseshoe bar in the middle of the place and ordered drinks. Drinks were very good. At 7:15 pm a woman introduced herself as a managing partner and says that she was told we were upset that we were not given a table. I said yes, since there are plenty of tables open, it seemed quite odd that no one could sit at them. She explained that there were people who ate at tables the weekend prior and would not get up once they were done eating. Okay, but not being able to turn tables is your issue, not mine. By this logic, if I call and reserve a table for 9pm, no one can eat there all night. She said that if something opened up that she would move us to a table. I said no, that we would stay at the bar and order bar food. I had planned to order a full boat — appetizer, entrees, drinks and desserts, but I am not eating all that at the bar. She seemed confused. Oh well. Anyhow, at 7:45, after being there 45 minutes and ordering our food, and 4 tables were still open and now 14 people were at the bar, the hostess offered us a table. For what– us to tip a server when the bartender was busting his ass all night? Thanks but no thanks. The lounge burger is a great special, meaty cheesy goodness on a pretzel bun. Yum. Best fingerling potatoes ever. But are they trying to be a nightclub or restaurant? Is this a place, like other suburban spots, that someone bought so they had a place to hang out with their friends? I suspect yes. The condensed version of all this? Great décor, ultra-modern, plenty of parking. Small but mighty menu, specials offered, drinks are very good. If they management fails to grab onto what they are doing right at Orange, this place will be gone in less than a year. I do not say this to be mean. I say this because I do not want to hear that this place is a victim of a bad economy

A great addition to the Lemont dining scene! it is worth visiting for the lobster bisque alone! An excellent rendition, served hot, very creamy with a whole chunk of lobster. Vert satisfying. Love the décor(check out the orange bowl sinks in the ladies room!) with secluded booths and a large bar. Would definitely return for dinner and to enjoy one of the live acts featured here. I have tried several appetizers, first at a wine tasting event and another time while out with a friend. The beef skewers were tender and well seasoned; the chicken BBQ flatbread was quite flavorful, and the guacamole was cleverly presented in a martini glass. Orange 13 has a number of martinis and cocktails priced at $ 8 or $ 9, many of which sounded interesting. We tried a gin-based cocktail that was pretty strong, but light on the advertised blackberry flavor.
