I just went here to pick up some supplies for a school project. The lady in the store Karen, was probably the worst employee I’ve ever met. When I was getting ready to check out she walked away from her drawer to go do something else. Then, when she returned she didn’t say one word to me. She just told me the total. Being a lot younger than her and having my own job I believe that respect is important, especially at work.

When you say you close at midnight don’t close the store earlier I got to the store at 11:50 pm to pick up some cold medicine for my sick child the ignorant manager looked at me as I was walking up locked the door and walked away. I know it was 10 minutes before you close but really close when the sign says closed don’t look at me in a pair of shorts and sandles rushing towards the door and walk away great job hope that manager had the same Delima as I do and had to drive 2 towns away to get there sick child medicine. Really classy I will now be going to cvs

I am a kidney transplant patient, who has been on dialysis for the past 6 years and always gave the Lemont, IL Walgreens my VERY expensive medication orders. I ordered the script 800 mg Renvela, 1350 tabs on December 30, 2014 but today Robin in the Pharmacy is telling me my co-​pay is $ 3300.00…WTF… walgreens tried to put thru to my insurance today??/.A new benefit year… Robin lied to me saying that my insurance denied the claim on 12/​30, then she lied once again saying it was too soonand I confirmed twice with bc/​bs that was a lie. I then spoke to another person at Walgreens who then tells me it was because they had to speak to my dr about another script, so this was why, then she tried to make an excuse saying my script is a year old and…, it is amazing because when I ordered online, it said I had valid scripts on
and I even called because I knew the clock was ticking before year end… I am a Federal employee who pays many thousands of $$ to Walgreens, the Lemont ph is 630−257−9250…The lies are totally inexcusable at any employee level but this one after another then excuse after excuse for these peoples mistakes… I want answers… I never even use Facebook anymore but had to post this

One star for the lady with the horrible customer service. Every other time I’ve been here, I’ve had excellent service. Crabby lady at the checkout once again. How about a simple «hello». No words spoken until she asked for my ID. I gave her the benefit of the doubt that the last two times she was just having a bad day. Staff since 2006– if I was her boss-​she would be fired. Yeah-​i know it’s walgreens, but if every other staff member can be friendly– why can’t she?

I love Walgreens SO MUCH. It’s the most convenient store ever. Having said that, it must be brought to your attention that this particular Walgreens is difficult. I’ve had wonderful encounters with all of the staff until this evening. My husband and I went in to buy another bottle of wine that we purchased earlier this week (it was pretty delicious) and we were carded by a manager named Andre. We have out of state IDs and were denied the ability to buy a bottle of wine because my husbands ID «felt like paper». He literally asked if we had a passport to prove our ages. Yeah, we carry our passports in our pockets. Here ya go??? Hmm…
So a word to the wise: if you’re going to Walgreens to buy a bottle of wine with your out of state ID and Andre is working, take your passport or he will not believe that you are older than 21.
Other than this bro-​chacho, this Walgreens has some pretty outstanding service.

The pharmacy delivers outstanding customer service on a consistent basis. Whether it’s taking the time to answer questions or most recently our prescription was extremely expensive and the pharmacist /​staff worked with our physician to reduce the cost considerably. Great job Walgreen’s and keep up the good work !
