This is a unmanned gym meaning that the doors are open to all military and civilian personnel on base with valid ID. I come here on weekdays after work for a good workout. There are a few factors to consider when using the OPS side gym: 1– No attendant to assist with immediate needs/concerns. You’ll have to call the main side gym for assistance. 2– The main side gym is very big in fact it’s 4 times bigger and it has a Olympic size swimming pool. 3– This gym is small and can only accommodate as many as 30 — 40 people at once. If it gets over crowded the atmosphere become unbearably hot. 4– Location near the airfield makes it even more hot. The A/C does not work. There is a oscillating fan that keeps people from completely melting. 5– it’s GREAT for quick workouts: treadmill, elliptical, cycling, and weight lifting. 6– New basketball mat and rims. There is good renovation going on at this gym but please bare with it because it will be a great gym in time. Like I mentioned before I’m only here because it’s free and I can walk in after work for a great 60min workout.
