Casey’s General Store

I’m officially a believer. QuikTrip used to be my go to every time, but since they’ve done a massive failure of a remodel, Casey’s is where it’s at. They’re roomier, friendlier (less corporate-​ish), and it seems easier to get in and out of this location than most QTs (75^th/​Switzer, 87^th/​Farley, and Metcalf/​77^th come to mind). The pizza is the real deal, prices are comparable to competitors, and it’s just a better experience.

I’ve lived in Kansas City for some time and I had absolutely no idea there was a Casey’s General Store just south of 75^th & Quivera. I wrote the location because while the other Casey’s stores I’ve visited have been on the fringe of the KC metro area this location is literally smack dab in the middle of Johnson County and barely over a ten minute drive from where I live. Do you remember that scene in Home Alone where Kevin actually realizes he’s all alone and he smiles? Yeah, that was me.
Anyway, getting back to what makes Casey’s magical, this store, like others, is super clean, offers free air and serves that delicious gas station pizza (looks like there are some sub options as well, but I’ve only eaten the pizza.)
In addition, I have to acknowledge the staff. One time I stopped in and noticed the pizza selection was lacking. The employee in the area walked up to tell me he had three more in the oven and they’d be finished in about five minutes if I wanted to hang out. I did hang out and my pizza excellent. Another time I grabbed a slice and a fountain drink. The register clerk let me know there was a buy one get one free pizza slice special at the time if I wanted to take advantage of it. What a nice guy.
If the above three paragraphs aren’t enough for you, I’ll recap what I’ve written above in a short synopsis. Johnson County, you are lucky to have a Casey’s well within your borders and I hope you treat it as well as it treats you. Enjoy!

Great choices great service. FAST and Friendly. The food choices meet or exceed other gas stop fare; and the stock is new not dusty items nobody wants. The staff are upbeat and friendly and incredibly fast. Incredibly!

A fairly new location and I love it. I grew up in a small town where Casey’s was our only option. This Casey’s is huge, well-​located, easy to access and exit, just fantastic. This is why I’ve never been into QT much: Casey’s if so much better!
I love their cookies, donuts, pizza… you can’t tell me QT food even comes close. The gas is super cheap. I have to admit it… I’m always going to be a loyal Casey’s customer.
