We had as issue with the rear end making noise in my truck on the way to the Hot Rod Power Tour. Dale dropped what he was doing to accomodate us and get some conditioner in the rear end for us. Got us back on the road quickly. Great guy and great Service!!!

I started bringing my vehicle here after I fired Firestone in Lenexa. The first time I brought my car in I couldn’t get there to pick it up before they closed. Dale left the key in an agreed upon hidden spot and I was able to come by after hours and pick up my vehicle. Dale told me to simply come by the next day and pay. This is small town customer service like I have never seen before!
I have used Dale twice now and the work performed has been honest and excellent and the customer service is way above excellent! This is the best car repair business I have ever seen. I am glad now that Firestone pissed me off.

I have only used Dale once but so far he gets five stars. I stopped by at 7:45 AM with my fingers crossed to get a blinker fixed before heading to work. He said yip, dropped the paperwork he was doing and went out into the parking lot to change it since their bays were full. Did I mention it was like 5 degrees outside. This, along with the other glowing Unilocal reviews of him will keep me coming back. Thanks Dale!

Dale and his team do things the right away the first time using reliable, quality parts. The customer service is great, and the advice is truthful. My family has trusted him with multiple vehicles over the years without any problems. Dale is honest and hardworking. He’ll be upfront with you and often says, «This isn’t the cheapest way to fix it, it’s the long-​term, correct fix.» that’s what I’m looking for in a professional working on the cars my family and I depend on. Recommend him highly!

We needed a muffler bracket welded on our Infiniti. I looked up ratings on Unilocal for automotive repair places in Lenexa and found that Dale’s was highly rated. I called Dale, he said he could take care of it and get it done today if I brought it in early afternoon. I did and he did get it done in a timely manner and for a fair price: the same price the Infiniti dealer said it would cost. I am very happy with Dale’s service. I would recommend him and his shop.

We use Dale’s shop for our work vehicles. Dale is always honest and does the right thing every time. We really trust his work, his opinion, and his ability to keep our vans in top condition. Tip: The shop isn’t one you’d particularly want to wait around in, so get someone to drop you off while your vehicle is being maintained.

I am sad that I moved away from Dale’s shop. He has more integrity in his little finger than many shops I’ve dealt with have in the entire organization. I would HIGHLY recommend getting your car worked on at this shop, he saved us a bunch of money and does quality work. He’s a super nice guy, too.

I am still telling people about Dale. I had my $%$#@ car towed to Dale’s and he told after looking at to get rid of it. I waited a week and told him to make the repairs… he said no! He was right and once meeting him in person and getting more advice on what to do and what to look for, I can say there is a place for him in Heaven! Love this place!!!

I cannot sing enough praises for Dale’s Automotive Services. The customer service has been great, repairs are made in a timely manner at competitive pricing, and I personally love that Dale himself regularly answers the phone. Dale has made special arrangements so I can pick my car up later than close and no staff has ever tried to sell me more that what I needed. After a few visits, I wholly trust Dale’s experience and expertise.
Let me take a minute to mention the recepits. The receipts provide detailed information about what was done to the vehicle. In my case (my poor car needed A LOT of work), the info detailed 16 different electronic codes that were tripped during diagnostic testing, what repairs were made the first visit, and what repairs would be made on the follow up visit. Dale even took the time to tell me about each code and pointed only a few potential problems.
The shop may not be the prettiest, but it’s definitely the best around. I’ll be going again soon for a routine oil change and nothing else really, bc my car is back to being in good shape.

I really love Mom and Pop auto shops, and have been wanting to find one since I moved up to KC in August. Great reviews on Unilocal directed me to Dale’s Automotive Service, and it did not disappoint.
Tucked away in a strip mall, this place isn’t the easiest to find, but Dale made sure to let me know exactly where to go when I scheduled my appointment. When I asked if I could get in and out for an oil change over my lunch break, he let me know what food eateries were nearby!
Dale offered me maintenance tips and recommendations, and I will definitely come back for future services!

I take three cars to Dales. In the years I have been going to Dale, I’ve never felt as though I’ve been lied to or taken advantage of. He seems very honest, upfront and does great work.

I’ve owned my share of unreliable automobiles — both American– and foreign-​made. So I know that a good, trustworthy mechanic is worth his or her weight in gold. I took my car to a garage in Westport for awhile, but when I moved even further west it didn’t make sense to take my car to someone that far away. A few years ago my daughter introduced me to Dale of Dale’s Automotive, and he’s been my mechanic since.
Dale keeps my daughter’s mid-​90s Mercury running, which makes him a miracle worker in my eyes. I’ve been perfectly happy with the routine maintenance he’s done on my new Nissan too. When I recommended him to a friend who had a weird problem with her Mustang, Dale couldn’t find anything critical wrong, but he also didn’t charge her for work she didn’t need.
I’ve never waited an inordinate amount of time to get my car into Dale or to get it back from him. And while I don’t usually understand his recap of the work he did, I know he does, and that’s what matters. The next time your car is out of commission, go see Dale. He’ll have you back on the road in no time.
