Major let down. Ridiculously loud and overall obnoxious place to eat. The volume to the TV was blasting the entire time despite the fact that not a single word could be understood. I was constantly shouting in order to be heard by the person sitting directly next to me. On top of that the outdoor seating area was exposed to the inside of the restaurant and the cigarette smoke continuously drafted in and smelled terrible. What’s the point in non smoking restaurants if you open all the windows to the outside and let people smoke? If that wasn’t enough the food was sub par, even for a sports bar. My cheeseburger was flavorless and lifeless even though it was a «specialty» item. Never going back.

Only go here if you really don’t want to listen to who you are with… because you can’t hear anything. I’ve been twice and see no need to go back. You actually have to yell to hear your dinner companions-if you make the mistake of sitting in a booth then you get to hear the people behind you yell, because they are actually closer to you than the person sitting across from you. Note to management-turn down the televisions and when there are more than a couple games going on-you can’t have the volume turned up on all of them. Generally a very unpleasant experience. The last time I was there I ordered the«bowl» of chili-smallest, most shallow bowl I’ve ever encountered. The only reason I would go back is to pour the cup of soup into that bowl and actually see if there is a different in volume… I’m guessing probably not. The only upside was the server did tell me that the veggie burger was frozen and not made in house(I’m not a vegetarian, just looking for something different).

I stopped in on a Sunday early eve to take a both, grade papers and have an appetizer. I arrived at 7:05. At 7:30 it was obvious no one would wait on me, so I went to the bar to order. Very nice bartender took the order. I returned to my table and began work. Soon the wings arrived and these were the smallest wings I had ever seen. And I was given t celery sticks. So if you want a place to watch a sporting event and don’t mind getting your own drinks, I guess it is okay. Otherwise, avoid.

This place just isn’t good. I ordered a chicken quesadilla. How do you butcher a quesadilla? I’m not really sure but they did. It was NOT good. The Long Island I ordered was pure vodka. If I was in a college town I would understand, but not Johnson County. Also, if you like your servers COVERED in tattoos from head to toe this is the place for you. However, if you don’t, like me, then this is NOT the place for you. Overall a pretty terrible experience.

I’m changing my rating to 2 stars because I feel that the General Manager will handle the situation correctly. He removed the bogus charge from my credit card. Not sure how he will handle the employee. That kind of dishonesty is hard if not impossible to forgive. The GM has requested that I come back and give them another try. I am considering it but not ready just yet. If I do, I will update my review accordingly.

I came to know of Saints in a round about way. The owners own a small group of restaurants in a few different states. One of those states being Iowa. In Des Moines there is a suberb called Beaverdale and through Beaverdale is Beaver Road and Lower Beaver Road. There are a lot of businesses along Beaver and they often include the road or city name into their business name. The owners of Saints did the same with their Des Moines location naming it Beaver Tap. I contacted the bar wanting a tshirt. After a few emails back and forth, the order came in and Kem, one of the owners, offered to leave the shirts at the Lenexa Saints location for me. When I picked up my shirts, I decided to grab a bite to eat. Normally this would not be the type of establishment I would choose to eat at. I find the standard sports bar menu that you can find at every sports bar boring. I was eyeing the french dip, but asked the waitress what she suggested. She made a few suggestions and I decided to try the chicken panini. I wish, or at least think I wish, that I would have went with the french dip. The chicken on the panini was cut in strips and chunks. It reminded me of pre-packaged chicken you would buy for salads. It was juicy and tender though and the only plus to the sandwich. The dressing was very runny and just didn’t have a pleasant taste. And I cant believe I am saying this, but the sandwich had too much cheese. It actually overwhelmed everything else. I ordered cottage cheese with my sandwich. I have never had bad cottage cheese. Of course some are better, but never bad. Their cottage cheese here was bad. It didn’t taste spoiled although it was warm. I am not sure if it had been sitting out in the kitchen or dished up and placed under a heat lamp while the sandwich cooked. Being warm certainly takes away from cottage cheese, but it just tasted awful. Even cold it wouldn’t have been good. Normally I clean my plate. Recently that has changed to taking food home for another meal. This time I left all but a couple of bites of the cottage cheese and half of a sandwich. I was asked if I wanted a box and felt so guilty wasting it that I made an excuse to justify declining the box. The bar plays country music. This is going to appeal to some, but not my thing. They have an amazing patio that pretty much surrounds three sides of the building. They also have garage doors that open up the dining room. There are plenty of TVs scattered around the bar with a variety of sports playing on them. They have a little game area with pool tables and other fun stuff.(I didn’t go look around the area, but there may have been a punching bag game.) The prices are comparable to other restaurants like this. They had drink specials listed on a board as you walked in. When I entered most people were sitting at the bar. There wasnt anyone behind the bar and no other workers running around. Another couple entered after me and along with me they seemed to not know what the protocol was. Seat ourselves, wait for someone? After a few minutes someone came from what appeared to be the kitchen to behind the bar. I went to the end of the bar to find out what to do. Everyone was really nice and friendly, just not super attentive. Overall, this isn’t my sort of place. I was really pleased with the customer service from the owners. I could see going for a game or drinks on the big patio, maybe even give the menu another try, but really don’t see myself rushing back anytime soon. I think for a particular clientele, it is a great place, I just don’t fall into that category. Normally I would give my experience two stars that is comparable to this one. Due to the owners going the extra mile to get me the tshirts and the awesome patio area, they edged up to three.

When saints first opened a few years ago it was great. Definitely a favorite hang out for my friends and I. Over the years I’ve watched it get worse and worse. Terrible service, highly over priced food and sometimes a pretty rough crowd. The last time I was there I ordered pepper jack bites. Something I’ve had there in the past and really enjoyed. When they arrived there were so few pieces on the plate I actually flagged down the manager to ask if there was a mistake. He promptly told me there should be 16 pieces. First of all there were not. And second of all… The appetizer cost $ 7-$ 8. No thanks. Long story short, saints is not what it used to be and I would not recommend it to anyone.

I’ve ordered about ten different things on the menu to try to find something edible. The food is some of the saltiest bar food I’ve ever experienced. The bread of every sandwich is always stale. I’ve gotten some cold burgers a time or two. Also fries. I’ve had some fries that were burnt on the outside and cold in the middle. The sweet potato fries are always burnt as well. The only thing I’ve found acceptable to eat were the chicken fingers, which was a surprise. They were hot and fresh so that helped. In addition, the service is spotty at best.

If you are looking for a cool place to watch the game this isn’t bad. Numerous TVs adorn the walls including a large projector. There is also some special seating options available for groups so call ahead and ask! Wed nights is where this place shines. For a $ 5 cover, you can drink $.50 wells until midnight. Yes that’s right, 50 cents. They also have a good $ 5 burger that night as well. In the back there are a couple of pool tables which are always packed, so there is no shortage of opponents.

Went there last night ½/14 for the sugar bowl. Had a few drinks and ordered a cheeseburger. I don’t know if it was a bad night or what but it was the worst burger I have ever had. Beer special was good at it was $ 2 domestic draws. Amber the waitress was good but the nasty taste of the burger kind of soured the mood.

I’ve been to Saints at many different times throughout the day. I’ve been for lunch, I’ve been for happy hour, and I’ve been late night. Most of my issues are with late night. The food is actually pretty good. When I worked in the area, I would meet a friend quite often for lunch. The burgers and fries are pretty delicious and the lunch bartender was always friendly and the service fast. Happy hour seems to get very crowded. On a nice day though, it’s great to sit on the patio and have some drinks and apps. I’ve always stuck with beer here since the liquor drinks seem to be watered down. Late night is just not fun. There’s a DJ and the crowd is very young. It gets really hot inside and everyone is brushing up against you all gross and sweaty. It takes forever to get a drink and unless you have a table, good luck in finding a seat. It’s just sketchy and seems like a completely different place from earlier in the day.

This place seems to be going down hill fast. The crowd gets younger and younger and the service is just poor. When you have to go up to the bar to get yourself a drink while watching your waitress at one table flirting, then you have officially outgrown the place. O well. They are digging their own grave. So much potential. When the management finally steps in and does something I think it will be too late.

Place seems sketchy at times(watch the news, you’ll understand) but for a ‘bar’, the food really is fantastic. Great beer/alcohol options, and the servers are helpful in suggestions and extremely nice. Quick service if you let them know ahead of time that you are on time schedules.

This was the former Mickey’s so I instantly thought it would be great. Monday’s are buy one get one, Wednesdays and Thursdays are really cheap too so price is great. However, if you live around KC and watch the news, you’ll be sure to hear of Saints. Whether it’s people getting in fights, shootings, or potential rapes… I don’t feel comfortable going here anymore. The last time I went, I had a guy following me and then trying to start a fight with my fiancé. Cops also hassle people coming out of this place whether they’ve been drinking or not. I’d just rather stay away

The decent food is hidden by the absolutely horrible service. It seems as though every time I go in there I get a server in training. Forgotten food orders and wrong food has riddled my experiences at Saint’s. Thousands of sports bars in Kansas City, do yourself a favor and find a different one than Saint’s.

What I like about Saints is there is plenty of seating and plenty of screens for whatever game I want to watch. Recently, I was able to easily watch a NFL football playoff game, the KU basketball game and a more regional smaller Missouri college game. I was also in a while ago during baseball season and was able to watch the Royals game and follow four other games as well. For a sports fanatic this was heaven and also a welcome treat as a lunch option close to where I work. Now, I will say that I have walked in during the week and Fox News was playing. … I’m going to assume that the only reason this was on was because it wasn’t busy and that maybe a regular lunch diner might have requested it. I hope it isn’t a routine option because even though it can be slow during the day three ESPN channels, MLB Network, NFL Network, NBC Sports, Fox Sports and The Big Ten Network should be able to provide plenty of entertainment options. The food is a mish mash of sandwiches and burgers that would populate a sports bar’s menu. It is also decent and more than adequate. I was a little disappointed when I ordered a nachos appetizer. The ingredients, sour cream and salsa were placed on the plate in cute little pattern which looked like it was supposed to be visually appealing. It looked cute, but some of the chips were left without ingredients. I would rather let my stomach than my eyes vote in a sports bar. I will say that the buffalo chicken sandwich had plenty of buffalo sauce and plenty of flavor too. The service is great. I don’t think I have had a drink get close to being empty without being asked if I would like a refill. The servers are also quick to follow up on the food after it is delivered to make sure the dish is up to specifications.

I must say I really, really dislike this place. Having been here twice now in the last two years, the experience was the same both times. Note that I have never had any food here — this review is all about drinks and atmosphere. For drinks — the drinks are poured on the weaker side, even for non-specials. The beer is cold but how can you screw that up? All you do is pour it out. I have seen some dirty glassware before and have received cracked glasses on both visits. For atmosphere — the bartenders aren’t very friendly at all. Not rude, but there are oh so many bars in JoCo with crazy friendly bartenders… why would I go here? Especially if the drinks or the specials aren’t that great. A lot of the clientele have a real DB attitude to them and seem to be enjoying a night out from their parent’s basement. I have no desire to ever go back here.

I have been to Saints a few times, it’s never on the top of my list, but I don’t think it’s that bad. If you want to take part in some day drinking, go on a Wednesday for 50 cent drinks! Our server(forgot her name) was really great, and didn’t get an attitude when I knocked over my 50 cent drink. :)

I won’t rant and rave. I am deducting a star for the massive lack of service and the incredible crappy attitude my table received. I like going there to watch games. Their food is still above par bar grub. If I go back I will make sure to pay attention who is my server and manuver to another servers area if necessary.

This place is pretty busy! Looks like a pretty happenin’ place as I sit here waiting for my food I am pleasantly surprised. Wednesday is $ 5 burger day… any burger. Burgers are $ 7.95. Not bad! Had the bleu cheese burger. It was okay. Every bite had an adequate amount of bleu cheese crumbles. The meat was pretty good and the toppings of lettuce, tomato, pickle and thinly sliced red onion worked for the burger. Service is super quick! Tons of tv’s to view in the main dining area. I really like the openess of the bar. On a rainy evening it was the perfect ambiance. It’s a nice place to hang out.
