Came in to use the computer. This is a very outdated and small library. They give you a paper card as your library card. You sign in and wallah… your done. Fast process, just show them your drivers license and your ready to check anything out plus you can use their computer. Convienient library as its off broadway/downtown area. Needs better parking for disabled people as we had to walk across the street. People were coming in, older people, and talking really loud. Probably not a good place to study.

It’s not the biggest library and it’s not the smallest. But boy, are they behind in times. They don’t have an online reference directory. Here, in LC they do it the old fashioned way… card catalog. But get this, it isn’t even updated. You can also forget about getting a barcoded library card and library books/cds/movies/etc because they don’t use that here either. Expect a paper library card with your name and address written on the front. And to check out a book you write your name on the checkout card. That’s it. Pretty simple. Pretty lame. And pretty much behind on technology. I came looking for operas on DVDs and cooking/baking books. The cooking/baking selection was prety good. However, it seems that Loudon County doesn’t even carry operas on DVDs. Not a single one. Not even popular operas like Carmen. Ugh. Guess that’s a reflection of the lack of interest by the residents. That’s too bad.
