Went there in early Sept and was really disappointed. Pretentious overpriced menu. We had basic pulled pork that was marginally ok, but our adventurous friend has a mess of Hamburg and pasta that was not edible Appetizers overpriced Lenox is a place for pretentious suckers. This joint fits the bill.

Extremely overpriced. Caesar was yummy but the chicken sandwich($ 17) was the tiniest piece of chicken I’ve ever seen!!! It should have been $ 9.

Don’t read any other review but this one! I eat a lot, I travel a lot, I am not biased and I don’t live in the area. This place is wonderful. I had the special of the evening, the salmon risotto with oyster mushrooms and a blanc sauce. My husband had the simple chicken sandwich with a salad and shallot vinaigrette dressing. Both were wonderfully prepared, service is excellent, indoor seating is comfortable, artsy… Outside seating is pleasant, breezy. Get the black out cake for dessert, decadent and delicious! We will be back!

Have drinks, eat elsewhere. Food prices outrageously high, even for Lenox, and our party of six was major disappointed by what was served I suspect the place is going down the tubes. On the Tuesday before Labor Day we were the only customers. Obviously the word is out. Too bad cause the tables are nicely placed and spaced and the lighting is kind. Sharon was a very good server but that did not mitigate the low quality plates out of the kitchen. And did I mention the sky-high prices?

Dinner for four adults at Firefly in Lenox. Perfect night for outdoor seating so we took advantage of that and sat on the porch. We enjoyed some wine with our appetizers(gambas al ajillo, fish tacos, goat cheese and summer squash flatbreadand) then settled in for the main courses. Diver scallops over risotto, lobster Cobb salads, and a hamburger. Food was served timely at correct temperatures. Flavor profiles were great, and all was enjoyed. Unfortunately no attempt at the dessert menu as ee were going to a concert, but it did look tasty. Main pros: fresh menu, convenient location, attentive staff, solid portions. Cons: small table for a four-top, but understandable given the porch setting(Interior tables appeared normal sized), Limited proteins on the entrée menu.

The outside dining is very tight on a long narrow front porch. We started with chicken wings and guacamole with chips. The chicken wings were crisp, tasty and not too saucy. The right blend of spice and crunch. A small portion of guacamole in a side for dressing dish with lots of chips. The guacamole was tasty, lots of solid onion pieces. More than half of the chips were left after the guacamole was gone. I order a small appetizer for my meal because I wanted seafood and veggies. It was small. The burger my partner got was over done and not flavorful. My suggestion is the staff give better guidance to first time customers. Not sure if would go back or recommend.

Worst restaurant experience I’ve had in a long time. Bad food, terrible service… Luckily the manager was understanding and took care of us… I would not go back again.

I have never written a bad review for anything. Everyone has a bad night but this may have been one of my worst restaurant experiences ever. Food was less than ok and first plate of the main course came out 90 minutes before the last. We were not offered why sort of concession apart from Some frozen cannoli. I gave the manager the option of taking something off the bill or me not leaving a tip. They took something off and added gratuity to the bill. Pretty sneaky. The owner then lied about not being there! If you screw up its ok. Take responsibility and move on. One star is generous. The Berkshires are full of good restaurants and this one does not belong among them. Eat elsewhere.

Firefly is my friend’s and my go to for meeting for drinks. It’s a fun casual restaurant with good drinks. The bartender Jordan is extremely accommodating and an all around nice guy. Wednesday nights are burger night so you get a cheaper price which is great. I do no recommend the chicken sandwich, I got it last summer and it was undercooked. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to have chicken ever since that experience.

Food was fair, that is the ones of us that actually got the right order, prices a bit high and the service was down right slow, I mean slooooooooow, can’t and won’t recommend. Save yourself the the wait and try another establishment.

Food was good. Service was absolutely terrible. I’m usually not one to throw a place under the bus but I’ve been here three times and all the same results(I will not be back again) There really isn’t anything else to say

Can’t say enough good. My friend and I wandered in tonight at a quarter of 9, off season, and we still had an amazing dinner! The burgers were perfection! We had Rina as our server/bartender, she was just awesome! The ambience is wonderful, great wine list… This is the place to go!

Service was inattentive and indifferent. Long waits in between simple things such as seating and bringing menus, menus and drink orders, and really everything else. When food arrived it was cold from having sat around in the kitchen. At the end of the evening we paid $ 100 for a burger and some chicken wings along with beverages. Pretty ridiculous. The place is the TGI Fridays of lenox.

Didn’t eat for long time in such a worse place. Value for money is so low. Terrible food, high prices. Not relevant for kids.

Pathetic service. Forgettable food. Nonsensical atmosphere. We had reservations for 8pm on Sat, and were greeted by the husband of the owner. Unfortunately, his priority was setting up for his acoustic guitar gig, which was meant to be the opening act for a hip-hop show. We were seated about 12 inches from where he was setting up, despite the restaurant being almost empty. We then waited, and waited for service. We finally got 2 drinks, but had to go to the bar(where we found our waitress talking with the staff) to order drinks for the rest of the table. We moved ourselves to a table in the back, since it was clear we weren’t going to get any help from the waitstaff. to get away from the host/musical guest. In the meantime a table of 8 or so got up and left since they hadn’t been acknowledged, beyond the«host» telling them about his guitar act that was starting soon. When we did get drinks they seemed watered down. The food was fine, but definitely overpriced. We hurried out as quickly as possible, since we hadn’t planned a «fine dining» experience to end with live hip-hop. If this place is in business next time i’m in Lenox, I would be shocked.

Let me start by saying that one star is too generous. The service was extremely poor. The appetizer had to be sent back as it was frozen. They got us back by charging us $ 44 for the evening special. The price wasn’t advertised, all entrees were in the $ 20 range so they stuck it to us. If this place wasn’t in Tanglewood, they would cease to exist

Hands down, it’s one of the best restaurant/bars I’ve been to in a long time. Working in Lenox for the summer(from NYC) I’m hard pressed to find a better place to eat and hang out. The food is consistently fantastic. The staff is friendly and accommodating. While either waiting for a table or just want a place to hang out, the bar scene is easy and fun. The bartender Justin is very much on the ball and will keep you happily liberated. There are other bar/restaurants in Lenox,(I’ve been to them all). but if you’re passing through and want some great food, in a nice atmosphere, you will not be disappointed in Firefly.

We read the mixed reviews for Firefly on Unilocal but decided to give it a try. The result was, well, mixed. [Extenuating circumstances note — this visit was at 5PM on the day after Christmas, so perhaps this is not catching them at their best.] First the positive — atmosphere is very nice, simple, clean. Service was OK, a little slow but not terrible. The menu included some interesting options but is not very extensive. My wife had the duck leg confit and it was well executed, nice presentation, and tasted good(not great but good). I went for the ‘Thursday evening special’ — Lobster roll with chips for $ 10! Sounds great… but… Now the downside — The lobster roll had to be the worst I have had in a long time. First, they attempted to toast the roll, as is proper for a good lobster roll, but they failed and it was burnt [See photo posted]. Perhaps their definition of the word ‘toasted’ does not match mine, but I call what they served ‘burnt’. This is an epic fail that should have never been served but apparently neither the cook nor the server had any issue with presenting it to a customer. In addition, the quantity of lobster in this roll was very small, maybe 2 ounces. Finally, they put cubes of tomato on top — to me tomato has no place in a lobster roll — at least this was easily fixed by removing the tomato. The menu lists the lobster rolls at $ 23 so at $ 10 this would be a good deal. If I had received the same roll for $ 23 I would have made quite a stink about it. I never like the idea of a ‘special’ that is reduced in size from another standard item on the menu, but I sure hope this was the case for the lobster roll. I am cutting them some slack and giving them 3 stars based on the Holiday time frame.

We went here for my mom’s birthday dinner and everything we had was amazing. Our server was so nice throughout the meal and even brought a small plate of cookies with a candle out at the end — hilariously, my mom was in the bathroom at the time, but the server stuck around and waited to present the birthday surprise). We got to sit outside on the front porch, which offers a nice view of a side street in Lenox center. My brother had his dog, and while it wasn’t allowed on the porch, we tied him up right below, and the server brought him a bowl of water. With all the pedestrians passing by and giving him love, he was loving his dinner plans as well. I ordered the mussels — I love mussels, but I’ve never had such a unique flavor pairing, so I was a little hesitant at first. I’m glad I took the chance, because the Moroccan flavors added something special to the dish. Everyone else loved their food as well. The drinks were just as good. We got the blood orange martini & the prickly pear margarita as well as some of the local beers they offered on tap. All were great. It’s so nice when a birthday meal goes well.

Fabulous spot for some grown-up cocktail time. Their cocktail menu is creative and and the bartender adept at her craft! Good wine list too. Love the booth in the corner attached to the end of the bar! The atmospher is chill and the patrons friendly. Tourists, skiers, locals all blend in to the slightly sophisticated atmospher. The interior w it’s warm colors, low lighting and live music create a nice setting.
