Wow, I really love this place. We went here for Valentine’s Day back in 2015 but I forgot to write a review until now. This place is tucked away in Leola… who knew. The service here is beyond what you would expect to found outside of a large city. They are located next to the Inn and there is plenty of parking in their private lot. The dining room is small but very intimate so you don’t feel crowded or even near other diners. We had the 8 or 10 course prefix meal, being that I forgot to write this review for so long I can’t actually remember how many course we had. They were all excellent. I really enjoyed the quail yolk ravioli and at the end the carrot cake that was made all from carrot and no cake! I would love to return and do recommend this place to everyone.

My wife and I went here for our anniversary dinner last weekend and could not have been more pleased. Our expectations were exceeded even after reading so many positive reviews beforehand. The moment we walked in the front doors the attentive service started, and did not end until we left 3 hours later. I am not going into all of the details, but I will say that this was a wonderful and memorable experience, full of little surprises. I am not a big wine drinker but we did include the pairings and I would strongly recommend it. It added so much to the overall experience, and each glass was delicious. You won’t get out of this place for under $ 500 per couple(including gratuity), but hopefully you will feel like it was well worth it as we did. What a treat having this place so close to home. Evidently one of very few places across the country to have both AAA5 Diamond and Forbes 5 Star ratings. By the way, we decided on the 5 course selection and we both left fully satisfied, so don’t let the small portion sizes fool you.

If this isn’t a 5 Star place, I don’t know what is. The service staff goes out of their way to make it truly an event, rather than just a meal. Makes me reconsider every Unilocal review I’ve made prior to going to this restaurant. Truly an incredible experience.

One of the finest restaurants in the country! It is fine dining at its best and in the heart of Amish country no less. If you want to experience a one-of-a-kind evening TE’ is the place. From the moment Tim and Amanda greeted us we knew we were in for a real treat. The layout of the dining room lent an intimate appeal to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Anthony and Paul were both very knowledgeable and professional throughout the course of the meal and the suggested wine parings were well thought out and certainly added to the evening. My wife and I both loved our selections and the added delight of the cheese course served up by Holly was an outstanding touch. Desert was incredible and the birthday cake was a wonderful surprise and meant a lot to me.

We visited TE with my husband and we had the 5 course prefix that’s 119 per person. This was part of a package with 3 night stay at the inn. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Very knowledgeable about the dishes. However, the main attraction is the food and that’s where this place fell short. I wanted to like it but… the first dish looked pretty, it was artsy, portion wise however, I could have fit it onto 1 – 2 fork bites. Were these bites umami? No. Not well seasoned, not very memorable. In between the courses we selected, there were tasting little bites. They were alright. One that was initially exciting but didn’t deliver was the grilled cheese. It was called something fancier but that’s what it was. Unfortunately it was wrapped like a present with a ribbon and by the time it came to us and we opened this bite, the bread was soggy and disappointing. Second and third course was so so small… and weren’t anything I’d get again, one was lobster risotto and the other was baby octopus. Risotto was dry and tasted more like rice then that creamy deliciousness you expect to get and the octopus I’d leave entirely if I wasn’t starving at that point. Plus the sauce it came with made it a little more palatable. Fourth course was the sea bass. It was pretty good, the sauce was good, it wasn’t amazing and the portion was again small but it was a solid good. Last course was the dessert. It was a lot of different little bites and tastes. Overall, still a solid 3 for the dessert too becuase while 10 percent was superb, 90 percent was nothing I’d want again or come back for again. Oh and one of the 3 sauces that came with the dessert broke, it was clunky, not what you expect from a place they claim it to be. Maybe this place isn’t for me… I found a lot of things about it annoying. Like the table was super big even though they brought out one dish at a time. My husband and I were seated so far apart on opposite sides of this table that we both extended our hands and couldn’t reach each other. Changing plates and all silverware after a tiny one bite size of food! Having 4 waiters rotate around you, having water be poured by 2 waiters at the same time, simultaneously one pouring into my husband’s glass while another pours into mine. It was really awkward and funny to watch this«show». I think the intention was to have guests feel pampered but I felt a little ridiculous. The menus had our names on them and they pack you a goodie bag with some biscotti and your menu. Maybe some people like that sort of thing, it just wasn’t for me.

Service: 5 stars. The team is obviously trying very hard(almost too hard), and is trained to be friendly and efficient. Food: 3.5 unfortunately. The chef put together a great-sounding menu but in the end it falls short on delivery. Worth a try for a special occasion but not a ‘foodie’ place it strives to be.

I’ve eaten at some of the finest places in the country, and this restaurant rivals any of them. I was quite surprised at what a lovely dining experience we had. The service was great but we had to laugh at some of the exaggerated behavior. I think I counted five wait staff for the two of us. It was my wife’s birthday and after desert, they brought out a special(delicious) cake for us. We were so full that we took it back to the room to enjoy the next day. The meal was astounding and inspired. The food was worth the four hour drive in traffic it took to get here. In between many of the courses they brought out little tidbits to try. It was an amazing and memorable meal. I hope to be able to return soon.

Having been to many of the Northeast’s higher end restaurants, I surprised by the experience here. Given the restaurant’s location(about an hour outside Philadelphia), I didn’t have my expectations set too high — and I was pleasantly surprised! The food was flavorful and fresh, and the service was impeccable without being stuff and too formal. I can think of a few French restaurants that could match the caliber of this dining experience, but I can only think of one other Italian restaurant that is in the same league!

Wow! what an experience, in Lancaster county no less. Our Anniversary and could not have picked a better restaurant experience. Extremely professional, knowledgable Service Team. We were the only table in the restaurant that evening and felt pampered beyond belief. Hands down the best dining experience I can remember. Thank you to the staff and Chef for the personal visit and a special Anniversary cake as well. To all that read this review, please, do yourself a favor and make a reservation sooner than later. I can only hope TE’ is here to stay.

We wanted to have a special dinner and we found it. TE has just opened its doors several weeks ago and so far they aim to please. It is a prix fix restaurant with choices of 5 courses or 9 courses with or without wine pairings. Everything was plated perfectly and the complexity of the dishes were fantastic. Service was impeccable too. The chef came out and spoke with us too. TE is focused on very fine Italian cuisine. If you are looking for a culinary treat then this is it. It is fine dining at its best — jackets required.
