Hey, this place is getting a numb rap since it’s not reviewed very often. Peter Rollins lives much close to Golden Bowl up the street but he likes the food at Yummy Yummy a bit better and the prices at Yummy Yummy are fantastic. I think Golden Bowl gets a lot of business from neighboring towns because it’s the closest Chinese food if you come into town on Route 12. It’s great for them, but not for Peter who has to wait longer for his food. If you like decent Chinese food cheap and fast, give Yummy Yummy a try, and be sure and tell them Peter Rollins sent you!

Lo Mien tasted like past its prime cabbage and was very greasy. The egg rolls are soggy.

Crab rangoons were decent and the boneless spareribs were meaty but the chicken pad tai was made with mystery meat that I was afraid to taste… overall it was great and I was disappointed. The customer service was good though and food was cooked quickly.

I’m really particular when it comes to(Americanized) Chinese food. I like mine with no MSG, where the produce used is as fresh as possible(this is important as a vegetarian since the majority of my meals tend to be bean curd plus«fill-in-the-blank-vegetable-here»), the meal itself is flavorful and multi-dimensional with little to no grease, no post-consumption«ick» factor, or a feeling of starvation hours later. That’s not too much to ask is it? When it comes to Chinese food, I usually try the places my friends or family have suggested(always a safer bet than trying some random, hole-in-the-wall place). It was my parents who suggested I try Yummy Yummy while visiting them in Leominster. Having just had an exceptional Chinese food fail in my own hometown, I was a little hesitant. But they didn’t steer me wrong! I made a special order of the General Tso’s Bean Curd with broccoli and pea pods instead of green peppers, brown rice, and a crazy amount of duck sauce(HINT: while they don’t offer a «sweet and sour» bean curd, by adding duck sauce to the General Tso’s, you’re basically creating a similar flavor profile!). For just $ 8.25, I got a a large container positively filled with perfectly cooked chunks of bean curd, veg, and a delicious sauce(which wasn’t too sticky… a great sign, if you ask me!). As a girl who can eat, I thought for sure I’d be able to polish off the whole thing. And I wanted to, because it was just so good. But it didn’t happen, because there really was too much food. So, in the end, I got two meals for the price of one(sweeeeeeeeeeeeet). Oh, and by the way: the leftovers of this particular Chinese food? OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. Grab a Diet Coke, find some cartoons, and dig into this(cold) the next morning! My only gripe was that there wasn’t enough broccoli. *insert Christopher Walken imitation here* I could have used a little more broccoli! Four tiny stalks isn’t going to satiate me, Yummy Yummy. I was also a tiny bit annoyed that their spring rolls contained shrimp and that this information isn’t forthright on their menu. Nearly every other Chinese food place I’ve ever eaten at, the spring rolls are vegetarian-friendly. It’s a good thing we double-checked with the girl at the restaurant! If you’re looking for good(Americanized) Chinese food in the area, I would strongly suggest Yummy Yummy. They are unbelievably accommodating, especially if you have an allergy or specific food need!
