Great unique themed spot. A great little date idea. The back room is very dark and lit with candles. I tried the crab dip which was delicious, although I found the prices to be slightly too high. I would go again, but not often due to the prices.

Go into the Coffee shop, pick up the phone and call to the bouncer to give him the password and you are in! The bookcase opens and you enter the 1940s only the drinks are much better. Small with great décor you will need to wear your coolest hat to get your first drink half off. Look at their menu and start checking off the delicious drinks as you sit back and spin your latest caper. This is the coolest place — but remember don’t tell the cops or they might close us down.

Booked this place for a birthday party which had 15 in the party. The food is great for bar food. Three words: HISSYFITDIP! Life changing! The only drawback(if you could call it that) is that the bartenders waited till the end of the night to ask what each of us had to drink all night in order to tally up separate checks… Not used to that but hey, I’m not their manager. Love the place!

The drinks were great! The food was average. The atmosphere was as advertised. Hey nice night out for something different. First

Great for a night on the town If you are looking for good coffee, you can find it here. Reasonably priced and friendly service. Behind the bookcase is my favorite place however. If you are going on Friday or Saturday make a reservation. They fill up quickly. If you haven’t already gotten the password you can get it from the barista. You then pick up the vintage phone and say the password to the bartender on the other line. They will come let you in. You will enter a small bar area.(At one point I was thinking it needs to be bigger but then I concluded that that would take away from the atmosphere.) Swing music is playing in the background and the bartenders are dressed the part. The drinks are good, priced average for an upscale bar. Right around $ 10 for a cocktail.(Worth it for the atmosphere.) The bartenders are very friendly and will make you feel welcome. We had the BBQ Chicken flat bread, also pleasantly surprised. This has quickly become my favorite bar in the Leonardtown area. I enjoy telling friends from out of town that we are going for coffee and then seeing the surprise on their face when the bookcase swings open. TIP: If you wear a fedora your first drink is ½ price.

This is a speakeasy. Enter the coffee bar, ask the password, and go to the telephone on the wall. The password will get you into a hidden gem of a bar. Great cocktails, great atmosphere, all the better for being totally unexpected.
