Awesome park wherein you run overlooking the lake. Running the whole park is around 5k. What I like most about it is that the walking/​running path is a mix of uphill/​downhill and level ground. If you want to intensify your workout then go to the hilly/​grassy part and do some hill sprints.

This park is full of great stuff a zoo a pond picnic areas vending machines. Perfect park to host a out door kids birthday party a company picnic or a afternoon for bike riding. The pond is full of cool turtles so bring some bread and they will come say hello.

Nice Park. Was beautiful. Only downside was you have to rent in the courts to play in them (ie soccor, baseball) isnt it a public park where ppl are supposed to play for free? Its good for jogging/​walking but the normal park I go to… everything is FREE. Doubt I’ll go back

I love this park, it’s very clean and it’s huge. There are sometimes some interesting events.
The only downfall for me is that I wish there were more trees. In the summer, it just doesn’t feel like there’s enough and all the shady spots are often taken up already when you get here.

Palisades Park, NJ
Beautiful park. Theres a new section called the «New Overpeck County Park» and it is massive. Huge open space with lots of different activities available. Went for a walk on Christmas and it was so peaceful. The air was fresh and crisp and I had beautiful a sights to take in along the walking path. It looked really long but it only took about 30 min while walking with my mom. I must add though her little legs move faster than some people walk! I saw some kayaks so I can’t wait to come back when it gets warm and rent one of those bad boys.

Who would have thought that a park off the side of I-​95 could be so nice? Remarkably you don’t even notice the highway noise from Overpeck County Park. There are many amenities including athletic fields and bike/​running/​walking paths. It’s easy to get here from Bergen and Hudson County.

Large park, there is a lake. You can walk, run, bike or sit. Very clean and good for family including your dog. Nice parking lot close by so you can get out of the car and immediately enjoy the surroundings. I would visit just for the fresh air and sun.

Big, open park with lots of running room. Got the workout area off the side, good for calisthenics and such. There is a 400 meter track with a football field in the middle of it. New tennis courts, basketball court top was redone not too long ago.
