Before Dr. Kim, my mom set me up with a dentist in Ridgewood which ended up being a complete nightmare. Long story short: I paid $ 550 for two fillings, one of which I was never even told needed to/was going to be filled. After that, I never wanted to go to a dentist again, out of fear of getting ripped off alone. Then I found Dr. Kim. *Cue angelical music* Not only is Dr. Kim affortable to those who don’t have dental insurance,($ 120 for a cleaning, about $ 100 for fillings depending on how big the cavity is) he’s also very gentle, not too chatty(worst thing ever: when dentists try to make small talk with their hands in your mouth) and keeps you well informed as to what’s going on. My prior dentists would just tell me I had a cavity. Dr. Kim actually gets a mirror and shows me where the cavity is, demonstrates its depth, and asks if I’d like to get it filled today or make an appt for a future date. It’s a small operation — he has one other employee who is his receptionist/assistant, she’s also very friendly and helpful. His quaint office only has a couple of rooms, which I prefer to the larger dentist offices I’ve been to before. Overall, I would definitely reccommend Dr. Kim. He has a new patient special for $ 99 that includes your initial exam, cleaning & x-rays. Give him a try, he’s a great dentist.

I am going to rate 5 because I had a great experience here. The doctor and his help are really nice, friendly. He was not in a rush, I did a regular check, X-rays and gave me quote over the phone that was the actual amount I paid at the end. I will return :)
