After getting some groceries at Best Market in East Meadow( ) with my mom, we were disappointed to find that the Walden Farms Cole Slaw Dressing, which is my mom’s favorite salad dressing, was not in stock that day, we decided to head east down Hempstead Turnpike to this King Kullen as we were not too far away and found out that they had the Walden Farms Cole Slaw Dressing available. When we arrived, we found this store to be large, clean, and well-kept. We went to the produce department, which was small considering the store looked larger from the outside, which had fruits and vegetables that looked fine, we found six bottles of the Walden Farms Cole Slaw Dressing, which were priced at $ 3.69/bottle, which was .70 more than Best Market, but .30 less than Waldbaum’s at their regular price or Fairway Market. While we were shopping, we loved that they played nice music over the speakers to add to the atmosphere, including«River of Dreams» by Billy Joel. We did not stay long, but many aisles which appeared to not be too narrow. Since it was not crowded, we had no wait and we were checked out by Mike, who was friendly and efficient. While this store is OK, I don’t think I would shop here regularly as this store, while fine, was not that special and the regular prices here are higher than other conventional supermarkets like Shoprite, Stop ‘N Shop, and Waldbaum’s.

Was there Sunday an got treated awful by girl who sold lottery tickets. She was busy using her cell 0 hone an gave me an attitude. I asked to speak to a manager then change my mind because I don’t want anyone to loose there job. An as far as I concern king kullen staff has poor communication skills with shoppers

If I could give it No Stars, I would. The two stars is homage to the bakery. This store’s one saving grace. What a collection of DILLAGAFs. How every malcontent, inept, lazy supermarket worker in the universe wound up in the same store is beyond me. But, here they be. The staff is rotten, from the top down. Managers berating patrons in front subordinates. Workers complaining out loud within ear-shot of customers. Teenage employees either texting non-stop, or listening to music with headphones in the aisles. Cashiers stopping in the middle of a check-out order to answer a text, or chat with a fellow employee who wanders over to their register. Middle aged stockboys who don’t know what a lemon bar is. Seafood counter kid wearing a NY Yankees cap… SIDEWAYS!!! In closing, to the loud-mouth women in the deli dept: you’re not cute or funny. Just shut up and slice the cold cuts.

The store itself is completelty acceptable; it is clean, well-stocked, inexpensive, etc. However, the parking lot here is atrocious. It is nearly impossible for me to come to this shopping center without becoming angry and anxious because of really crappy drivers and the fact that I can’t make a left turn lane no matter which exit I am trying to escape from. Literally. I prefer to stick to Fairway, Trader Joe’s, etc but this is a nice supermarket just the same and if I am in dire need of something while I am coming to the shopping center for the greatest Italian Bakery in all of Long Island(Dortoni’s-if you don’t know-GO), I will happily run in to KK for whatever I need.

This king Kullen is very well kept and clean. The shelves were fully stocked and the employees seem to really enjoy what they were doing. Other supermarkets which i wont mention«PM» need to learn from this King Kullen. The customer service was good as well…

This store progressively gets worse and worse every time I go there. From the lack of produce and meat selection, to the crazy high prices on every day items. I usually reserve Unilocal for restaurants/local businesses but i felt i needed to weigh in on this particular king kullen after my most recent visit. No less than 3 uniformed workers were eating in front of the registers. 2 of them were floor workers and 1 was a cashier. One of the floor workers had a paper plate of pizza in one hand and was leveling out product with the other. Not exactly appetizing. I will not be returning.

It’s okay. Selection is so-so & getting in and out of here is a nightmare(you can’t make a left turn to get back onto the road). At least they have self-checkout lanes that seem to work & you don’t have to worry about whether you brought your discount card or not.

This is an ok supermarket, the parking lot is HORRIBLE and the selection is hit or miss. Not my first choice for a market, but King Kullen never is.

The store is in need of an update, but when you get past that it’s a positive shopping experience. There’s a self checkout and easy parking. Plus, like all King Kullens, it doubles $ 1.00 coupons.

Supermarket for the masses. On a recent quest for lamb chops on Christmas Eve(poor planning on the part of one of the restaurants I work at), I wound up in this King Kullen as part of my search. Surprisingly the place was nearly deserted which seems odd on Christmas eve but who am I to complain? The store was gorgeous and probably the cleanest place I have ever been in — everything was neat and tidy which was again surprising being Christmas eve. Lo and behold they had the elusive lamb chops and saved the day back at the restaurant — although I’m sure the restaurant lost money on the deal. The parking lot outside is like a demo derby so be careful especially if you are driving a decent car.
