Sparky’s

Not so typical hole in the wall bar. I stopped in looking for a job when I first moved back east from
Vegas and spoke to michelle. She was super sweet and the bar was full and even though they weren’t hiring took the time to acknowledge me! The bar was bright had a bunch of smiling faces and the band was getting ready to play on a Thursday night. I’ll definitely go back for a beer or two or five :)

I absolutely love this place. If you’re not a dive bar person and skeeved out by bikers, smokers and random holiday decorations that stay up well past their season, Sparkys is not for you.
I’ve been here once before NYE 2014 and had a pleasant experience. I’m an occasional smoker so the fact that I don’t have to freeze my tail off in the winter to smoke my Pall Mall automatically earns this place a star.
The bartenders are older, friendly and are Happy to help you. Most of the patrons are Levittown locals and are super friendly. You don’t feel out of place because you’re «not from around here «. I don’t believe there’s a kitchen but the pizzeria next door (Gino’s) will gladly bring your food to the bar for you.
My bestie (Shante P) spent NYE 2014 HERE! best decision ever. We aren’t the folks who want some elaborate flaming drink, $ 9 beer or a cover charge that will have you rethinking your future because you spent so much. SHante called Sparkys and asked if there was a cover charge and the woman replied «Honey, there’s never a cover charge at Sparkys «. Sooo, we get there around 1030pm… place is rocking! Dj played everything from oldies to top 40. Even took requests. Played what we wanted within two songs! Another star. Everything on NYE was free… free snacks (cheese, crackers, olives, crudite, etc). Free hats and noisemakers. free champagne at midnight!
This bar was about the celebration of a new year and not charging people ridiculous prices to get in. In my years as a bartender, I’ve found that people spend way more at the bar if there’s little to No cover charge at the door.
We just wanted a fun night out and That’s exactly what we got. I’ll be a regular too!
