Just a note: the pier is now(Nov, ’14) closed while structural concerns are being addressed. It is best to check with the park office before planning to fish there.

Did not go to fish. We rode our bikes from Rehobeth to Henlopen Park. Nice ride, fairly flat, few cars. There was a gravel trail in the park that led to some birding lookouts. Not my thing but that was ok. Great bike ride away from busy roads

By far, one of the most productive saltwater fishing piers on the East Coast. And it is only a 2 ½ hour drive from Washington, D.C.
