Slowest service ever!!! Waited in the paint department to be helped and was never once acknowledged that we were going to be helped soon. If there is a line it would be nice for employees to move a little faster and multi task while paint is being mixed or have the courteous to say you will be helped soon. Left after waiting over 30 minutes.

The management team at this store treats their employees like dirt. To be led on by the hiring manager during the initial job interview that I was being hired for a permanent part time sales associate position in the garden center was unethical. After six weeks of being their glorified water boy to water all of the plants, I was let go on the spot with no rationale whatsoever other than it was a numbers game. I always arrived early for my shift and completed all assigned tasks in addition to providing excellent customer service. They even hired additional people after me. These people remain employed. The training period required me to view many videos from their corporate office in Atlanta and emphasized how proud they are of all employees. That’s a bunch of manure. I will never step foot in any Home Depot store again.

Went to the Home Depot in rehoboth beach Delaware to purchase a few items for a job we are doing in lewes. When going to the check out we realize that not one register is open. Our choices are to go to a self check out or go to the contractor checkout. The contractor checkout has 10 people in line. So we wait!!! Mind you this is a Saturday afternoon on a hot summer day at the beach! When we asked why we were told they are short handed. Maybe someone could tell me why the 25 employees walking around doing nothing couldn’t run a register. Very aggravating!

This is my regular home depot that I consistently shop at. Often times you’ll walk around the store with associates who ignore you when you have a question to ask. I’ve gone in and bought a washer without talking to a single associate. Nobody asked if I needed help finding anything. Other times I’ve waited at the paint counter for more than five minutes just to ask where something is located only to be mis directed throughout the store. More often than not the associates at the counter avoid eye contact and completely ignore you. Retail 101 teaches associates to say«Hi! we’ll be right with you» if they are busy or helping another customer, but not here. You’re lucky if you even see someone smiling. The self check out process at the end reflects the corporate views of this company that employees are not important to customers. Often times I have questions when I go into a hardware store which is why I am disappointed by Home Depot. With the Home Depot in Lewes, I’m willing to bet you’d get a more personal experience from the Amazon app on your phone. I’ve had it. I am done. At least there’s a Lowes in town.

I replaced all my windows and doors. The salesperson was good, and the ordering process went smoothly. When it came to the installation, there was a big let down. I went with Home Depot because I had heard how hard it was to get good home services in the Lewes area — however, I wasn’t expecting it to take three months to get my windows installed. Everyone tried,(again and again) until finally they brought in a crew from Annapolis. This crew was great, no complaints, but seriously, if you are expecting to get your job done on time, I wouldn’t count on it.

It was nice to not be stalked by employees but they were easy to find if we had a question — but I came with an electrician.
