My husband and I ate dinner here tonight. We shared a cheese ravioli with wild and portobello mushroom sauce appetizer($ 8). Although it came with just 3 raviolis, it was perfect as an appetizer because it came with generous amount of perfectly cooked portobello mushrooms. My husband had the pasta with white clam sauce($ 18) which he said was really good. I had fettuccini Alfredo($ 18). The pasta had a great texture and the sauce was thick, cheesy and overall terrific. Service was friendly and overall great experience. We look forward to coming back.

Touch of Italy food quality is up and down. My wife and I stopped for lunch on 1÷27÷16 and ordered their Alla Salsiccia pizza which is advertised as being well done. When it arrived the crust was browned nor crusty although the cheese was melted and hot. But without a well done crust, needless to say it was a soggy mess. We told the waitress and she said«oh», smiled and walk away. Because this is not the first time for under cooked food at this location I think we are going to steer clear for a long time.

Good food, mean people. While the Italian cookies are good, the rude and disrespectful people who work there are sad. It seems they have a code system to rate/make fun of customers and it’s very obvious that they can’t stand their jobs. This is unfortunate as the whole concept of down-home Italian food is wonderful, however the personalities of the guys being the counter made us never want to go there again. Being Italian made me feel embarrassed that these people are associated with Italian tradition.

This place is absolutely delicious. If you want true Italian food, look no further than Touch of Italy. On a rainy Saturday night, my partner and I wandered to downtown Lewes to give this place a try. We were immediately greeted by a very pleasant hostess who apologized for the 15 – 20 minute wait. We laughed because that wait is nothing on a Saturday night. We were seated within 10 minutes of arriving and brought to our table. Like many restaurants in downtown Lewes, the dining area is small and intimate. Our server was prompt and courteous. He always kept our drinks full and frequently checked on us. Our appetizer was the sausage and peppers and they were phenomenal. After our appetizer, our server delivered the main course. My partner ordered the Pollo alla Parmigiana and I had the Garganelli alla Bolognese. The portions were more than generous and simply phenomenal. Overall, this was the best Italian experience we have had after trying numerous places in the area. Warning: This is not your Olive Garden Italian. This is your true Italian Trattoria!

This place is delicious! Been here numerous times and have never been disappointed, whenever I’m in Lewes I make it a point to visit. Their pastas, meats, and pizzas are all excellent, as is the deli and dessert counter!

We have eaten here many times and is by far one of our favorite restaurants when we come to the beach. Unfortunately tonight they had a bit of a rough night which, lets face it, happens to everyone. We waited for two hours for our meal. We didn’t complain, but there were a few apologies and at the end of a three hour evening they comped our meal and we all shook hands. They are a class act and we will be back. The food is always good!

If you love authentic Italian, this place is for you. They have the best in Italian goods. Either imported or made in house are excellent. Service was excellent as well. Definitely a favorite for us.

It’s no wonder that Touch of Italy gets such crowds. If there’s a criticism, it’s that the restaurant is popular enough that one ought to consider takeout for dinner instead of the 90-minute waits you can get on a Saturday night. I absolutely adore their giant sandwiches(easily enough for two adults), and had great success with their desserts, as well.

Amazing lunch! The portions are large and the ingredients very fresh. We have visited the deli several times and were always pleased by the quality and authenticity of the products. The restaurant upholds the same standards of quality. The staff was very nice and warm. We will definitely be back!

We called in for a take out order of a pizza and one pasta dish. We were told 30 minutes. Drive downtown parked and got in there within 7 minutes of the time they said it would be done. Paid and was told they were running a few minutes behind and it would be another 20 minutes. That time passed and we were told another 20 and at that time another 10 minutes. After less than a five minute drive to our house the pasta dish was less than tepid in temperature and the charcoal collection on the bottom of the pizza left not only the pizza, which by the way had a flaccid and not crisp crust, the pizza box, our plates and hands black. From the time of our call in it took an hour and 20 minutes to get our order. A $ 15 small pizza and a lump of tepid pasta @$ 18. What is the point of going back?

The atmosphere is homey and the food is true Italian comfort. We enjoyed a flavorful pasta bolognese and a white pizza. It was the best tasting meal and surprisingly the lowest price we encountered in our 4 days visiting Lewes.

Our favorite restaurant in this area. You can’t go wrong with the chicken parm, my husband’s favorite. I love the pizzas. Locally, you pay as much for a similarly-sized pizza with only one or two ordinary toppings(well, ordinary everything…). TOI’s pizza combinations and toppings are incredible. Another fave is the homemade pasta with clam sauce. In fact, everything that I’ve tried is delicious. Service is mostly good, it can be a bit slow during their busy times. Go in the off-season, but if you can’t try a late lunch or early dinner(3−5pm) for no wait and best service.

Stopped by here last week after reading the reviews. It was a Friday night, so the wait was understandable, but it was over an hour. However, props to hostess Emma for being incredibly nice and personable. It was well worth the wait! The food was delicious. We started with the Gnocchi Quattro Fromaggi which was buttery and light. I had the Pesto Avellinesi with shrimp which was also great. Desserts looked awesome, though we were too stuffed to try any. Great atmosphere and décor as well. Would definitely recommend when in Lewes!

Old and Cold I had the Eggplant. It lasted like it was made last week. As I left I discovered that they make it in bulk and refrigerate it. Other members in our party had the ravioli and they liked it. The Cannoli was very good.

One of our favorites! Extremely authentic Italian food, with great service, and unbelievable food options! Go for the oven baked pizzas! You just can’t go wrong. Staff is very friendly and talkative. Always a good experience when we dine here. Try it out at any of their four locations.

My husband and I came down and stayed in downtown Lewes this past weekend. First of all, downtown Lewes is extremely cute! Lots of boutiques and great restaurants around that you can easily walk to. After finding Touch of Italy on Unilocal,we decided to head here for dinner Saturday night. We came in at about 7:30pm — the dining area was full, bu there were open seats at the bar and once we confirmed we were totally fine with sitting there, we were seated and greeted by the friendly bartenders. We were given menus and started looking everything over. We decided on splitting the calamari as an appetizer and then the Alla Sopressata pizza and the Garganelli alla Bolognese. Once we decided on this, the bartender asked us what we’d like to drink — we asked him if we could tell him what we were planning on eating and suggest a wine to go well with our food. He gladly did so and recommended their red house wine(Nero D’avola, I THINK) — delicious wine and at just $ 24/bottle, we couldn’t argue. Calamari came out with this amazingly spicy and delicious marinara sauce(fra’ diavolo) and nice soft bread drizzled with olive oil. We then received our pizza and pasta entrees. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. I was even able to request some extra fra diavolo sauce on the side for pizza crust dipping! I think our bill was maybe $ 60-something for all of this food/wine. A serious treat after NYC restaurant prices! All in all, this was a great meal. My only regret is that we didn’t have the stomach capacity to try one of their tasty looking eclairs! Next time…

This is the cutest Italian place I’ve ever been to! You almost feel like you’re in a little Osteria! The staff introduces themselves and are really personable. My boyfriend and I went in a second time and they remembered us and what we liked! I was very impressed by the staff and service there. All the wine we tried was fantastic(we only tried the reds) and the food was superb. They make their mozzarella fresh/in house. We tried the caprese salad and all the ingredients were so fresh and the mozzarella was some of the best I’ve ever had(and I used to live in Italy). The olive oil was also delicious too.
