I’ve been to two of these places… a little dirty but they had some great stuff. Good prices.

Let’s be clear on this: there is a real liberal, hipster/hippie, pseudo-geeky environment at Bull Moose. You can’t miss it if you go in. However, as a more mainstream person, I have never been treated with anything but respect here. The prices are great, they have DVD collections you would not find anywhere else(and for half the price of Amazon), and the staff is always kind and helpful. The hours are also open late enough that I can stop by after work. Definite five stars.

Bull Moose, as a locally owned chain, is about as good as it gets for an independent record store. They offer quality music, movies, and video games — both new and used. I have often found that I can purchase an album in store for cheaper than what the iTunes Music Store or Amazon MP3 offer for prices, something to consider if you’re one of those people who enjoy having the disc and album art in your hands. They offer incredible deals on new and pre-owned movies, and the same can be said for their video game selection. Sign up for their newsletter(once a week) to find out what in-store specials or performances are occurring at their various locations. The Bull Moose card is also a great way to reward frequent customers with half off a future purchase(relative to the amount of points you’ve accrued). It also makes returns much easier.
